- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Monday: up late again 😔 Thought there was something wrong with me as I could smell burnt toast - nope it WAS burnt toast 😉 It is dark & dreary outside & had rained overnight. Slightly warmer with a high of 5°C. Forgot to mention yesterday that my iPad flashed up a warning that ‘Storage’ was full 😥 Asked DH & his first question was “When was the last time you turned off your iPad?” Not for a while say I & why is that important? He kindly explained in a non technical way that I could grasp & then switched off the iPad, left it off for a few minutes whilst calling me a “silly billy” then turned it back on & storage went from 63.9GB out of 64GB to 19.8GB 🤣 Straight into cheerleading:
EcoIntent, hope you enjoyed your weekend away 😊 At the moment the EDT is going so fast that if you blink there are 3 more posts 😅 Pleased to hear that any monies spent have been more than offset by your sales 🥳
Brambling, sorry to hear about the aching hip 😔 I hope you got a better nights sleep last night 🤞This “I will admit to open a wardrobe door staring aimlessly before closing it again 🫣” sounds like you have been in my house 😂 Great work with the shredding 👏
Welcome to the Decluttering thread sqwiffy 👋 Apologies for being a bit late welcoming you into our family of declutterers. Sorry to hear about your mum 😔 It must be very hard & distressing taking care of her at home although it sounds like all the family are helping 🥹 Happy Birthday to your mum. I am hoping that you do decide to stick with us as we are a friendly group & will offer encouragement & virtual support on your decluttering journey 😊 I see that several people have already welcomed you & I hope that they have addressed most of your queries 🙂 I see from your post that last year you found a methodology that suits you & was successful for you 👏 Good luck 🍀
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏
Excellent decluttering weenancy 👏 So sorry to hear that your are feeling so overwhelmed 😔 not helped by your useless & selfish roommates 😡 Like Muddy_Walker I do wish we could pop over & help 🥺 Is it possible to put in a request to the Mormons asking for some assistance 🤞
vulpix, what a lovely welcome for sqwiffy 🥹
Muddy_Walker, sorry to hear that you are so cold & your bladder was rebelling 😔 fingers crossed you managed to get some sleep 🤞Lovely comments for weenancy 🥹 Good luck with the crochet 🍀
Dizzycap, you had a busy day planned 🙂 I hope it all went well & that you have decluttered your entire list 🤞
Florenceem yippee to solving the mystery 🥳 & well done on getting it all sorted & ready to go to CS 👏 Nice to know you have one considerate daughter 🥹 Great support for our fellow declutterati 😊
A very bitty day - some cheerleading see above, then I got distracted by prepping dinner + concentration has not been great ☹️ Will post this & see if I can persuade my cheerleading mojo to put in a proper appearance 😉

Managed to get more job lots of craft things photographed and descriptions written. Just got to transfer to laptop and type up now. But halfway there. Seems not as much as I thought there was. Will be happy when is gone. Anything listed and resisted twice that doesn’t sell is going to charity shop. Cant keep hanging on in hope. Once craft stuff is dealt with will get on to the airing cupboard which won’t take as long but is a nightmare mess.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

I searched for sold V items then wrapped and labelled before I went out this afternoon.
I was queuing in the post office when a man tried to jump in - he got told - there is a queue here - I got a filthy look - a mumble and he went with his tail between his legs.
Went to see Mr F - he still has the feeding tube but was speaking a bit - some made sense.
He had been for the EEG at another hospital.
I asked Mr F if he had seen a Dr today - he said no - nurse said the consultant came to see him.
No results yet.

Definitely declutters lots of pennies this morning as one of the horses had colic and I had to call out the vet. An out of hours call carries a premium too. Won't know till the bill comes in.
Decluttered 2 full to bursting carrier bags of cans and plastic bottles dumped in the hedge along my road - people are unbelievable sometimes!! .All gone to recycling.
2 old journals to recycling
More of Mrs.M's clothes ready for the charity shop.
Some nearly OOD puff pastry converted to apple turnovers so that's a bit more freezer room.20 -
_Dolly_Rocker_ said:Working from home today and 4 dogs to walk during the day so I'll be busy but I am going to try and get the bathroom decluttered tonight when I'm home.Brambling - I am the same. Clothes everywhere that don't fit and I wear black leggings, t-shirts and hoodies constantly. Mainly due to the fact I'm just miserable about how I look. Filing is decluttering so well done on that. What book did you read?
Mehefin I hope the horse has fully recovered, ouch on the vet bill it's just as well we love our animals as they can cost a fortune. I will admit to reading your post quickly and mis reading pennies to something completely different! Not much decluttering done today but I did sort the shoe rack, a couple of pairs gone in the bin, some trainers and boots gone upstairs for now as I can't do up laces on my right foot at the moment without help. I'm thinking of offering a couple of pairs of rarely worn boots to my sister as we are the same size 🤨Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin20 -

Evening all. A busy afternoon but I did get to the local history talk - I missed so many last year. DGD4 needed picking up extra and came back to mine. She fancied bacon sandwiches for tea and she cooked them for both of us - now gone to youth club but will be back here to sleep so school drop off in the morning. I need to make nurse appointment for repeat blood tests - couldn't work out any way to do that on line so will call in tomorrow and may go and get car cleaned. Person coming to measure kitchen at 11am then I have history meeting in the afternoon. I am going to see a kitty for rehoming tomorrow - more will be posted if anything comes of it.
