Hi all, yesterday was a bit of a wash out decluttering wise. Went for my blood test and called to the sm for bread, bananas and lychees on offer, garage for petrol and back home. @Mrs SD I was cold as well so had a proper clean of the log burner and got a fire going and sat in front of it with a cuppa for a few hours 😂😂. I looked at a few things and thought about doing a few things but didn't 😂😂. OH complained the bananas were not ripe enough and I said she who does the shopping chooses the fruit 😁. The lychees were decluttered for pudding though as we both love them 😁. After tea a bit of crochet and fell asleep on the couch 😂😂. I have had a reasonable sleep but am still in bed with a cuppa and not got any plans yet but hoping something inspires me 😁.
@florianatwobob that's what happens with me as well with the tbr pile, I get 1 read and then find 2 more 😂 , my latest find was at the railway station where someone has set up a small bookcase for people to drop off books for others to take. It must be well used though as it started as just a window still but they now have a bookcase 😁.
@Crazycatlady2 well done dd for passing 😁 and you should have space in your garage now 😁
@Brie those are the socks that sit at the back of my draw for years 😂
@Mrs SD, I have never had a verruca but I know from school they are very contagious and very painful, hugs
@daisy_1571 love your description of frogs, tadpoles and cane toads 😂. Your posts always make me smile 😃
@Florenceem with all the tests they are doing let us hope they finally get a proper diagnosis and then the right treatment , big hugs
Ok off for another cuppa and I suppose I had better get a shower and get dressed 😂
Hugs to everyone who would like one
91 blood test
Take care everyone

Been to the £2 charity shop with a trolley and bag full this morning - just over 4,000 steps so far today.
I have done a bit more sorting in my craft room but I think I will need to go back through and ditch more stuff.
Packed my shopping trolley and bag ready to go out to the charity shop which gets the items that are worth more than £2.
The £2 charity shop was a £1 one until recently. They do 3 children's clothes for £2 and books are 8 for £2.
I will start to tackle the second side of my craft room when I get home.

BlueJ94 - My favourite craft is sewing but I knit and crochet plus make cards.
I enjoy making dolls - not sewn any for nearly 5 years.

Hi,
She is beautiful Florenceem. You are very talented. I hope when you have finished your current de clutter you will get back in your craft room. I know you always need to be on the go and you make such lovely things.
BlueJ94, quite a lot of people on this thread are crafters and make beautiful things. Have you seen the Use my craft stash thread? I was a member for several years but my MIL took presedence and I didn't have time to do much crafting for a few years. I haven't joined again as I don't really have much of a stash anymore.
5 house plants and their pots being donated to DD1 today. They are showing the strain of living with me for the past few years. DD1 is a plantaholic. She has hundreds, no exageration. Her house looks like something from a house magazine shoot. We are off there shortly to prep her bedroom ready for decorating. It involves some possible(hopefully) pipe removal and fixing a floorboard, and sanding all the woodwork. This is the easiest room in her house to renovate. She has been living away for a few years and her house was rented out. It's time has come for a facelift. All the other rooms need trades to come in and do work. She is having trouble finding people to even come and look at a job. A friend of theirs was a solicitor and has retrained as a plumber. He has more work than he wants and can almost name his price, and is loving it.

- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday: Woke up just before 08:00 & decided to get up, put on my cosy dressing gown & have a cup of tea. Woke my brain up by completing the puzzles in my magazine. It is overcast & quite chilly with only a 4°C high forecast 🙁 Still cheerleading posts dated the 16th:
charlies_tribe, sorry to hear that DGS was still in hospital on Wednesday morning 😔 but fingers crossed he was home in the afternoon 🤞 Well done to DGD for going through her toy boxes with you 👏
Florenceem, well done on rescuing food that would have gone to waste 👏 There are some very inconsiderate dog owners out there 🤢
vulpix, you did have a busy Wednesday 👏 Little notes from your children definitely cannot be considered as just ‘stuff’ 😊 as long as you haven’t kept every single one they wrote 😉 Excellent decluttering of MrV’s wardrobe & bedside drawers 👏 Just wondering if the nine watch boxes all contained watches 🤔 Great work doing another decluttering sweep through your entire house 👏 This “Something else I don't enjoy, being given gifts. Flowers are always ok, anything else makes me very uncomfortable. It's not that I am ungrateful, I just find it emotional that someone cares enough to give me a gift.” made me a little sad 😢 you are definitely worth lots of gifts 🥹 Fingers crossed your snowdrops flower soon 🤞
_Dolly_Rocker_ hope the car is OK & the repairs weren’t too expensive 🤞I also hope that you didn’t get too cold on Thursday with all those dog walks 🙏
BlueJ94, sorry to hear that you have yet another cold 😔 Hope you wrapped up warm & spent lots of time in the TLC Carriage 😊
Florenceem, I am hoping that an ‘8’ means that MrF is improving 🙏 Cwtches to you both 🤗
GrannyKate, you would think with all that information available it would be easy enough to send the Parking Charge Notice to the correct person 😡 Hopefully this has now been sorted & you have have received a prompt answer 🤞 Excellent decluttering 👏
Blue_Doggy, hopefully you won’t have to wait too long for your cataract operation 🤞Great work on the decluttering 👏
TC77, you are definitely going to be busy 😥 Pleased to hear that DD2 left a couple of bags of stuff for the CS 🙂 I do hope she is getting used to the idea of studying in Melbourne & is starting to look forward to it 🙏 Excellent work in DD2’s room 👏
ionafan, sounds like you had a great time in the Forest on Wednesday & enjoyed it just as much as Rosie the dog 😉
_Dolly_Rocker_ I like the names of your dogs 😊
oceanspirit, I am still waiting for one of our Declutterati family to say that they think shopping is a hobby 😂 Good decluttering 👏 & remember dealing with small tasks is just as important as dealing with large ones 😊
Tjh1412, I was just quick enough & managed to snaffle some apple & blackberry crumble 😋 Fingers crossed that the freezing fog has gone by the time of your Tip run 🤞Good luck with the digital decluttering 🍀 & here’s to a successful declutter on Saturday 🙂
Brie, “Florenceem, I do wish there was a way we could set up an on demand bus service for you!!” what a grand idea 🥹
Dizzycap, yippee to putting away the last 6 handbags 🥳 How nice of your neighbour to drop off the CS bags for you 😇 Sounds like you planned a big Thursday 😊 - I hope you didn’t tire yourself out 🤞
florianatwobob, might not have been major decluttering in your view but I would counter that with every item decluttered is a win against the Clutter Monster 😁
Shame about the glasses TC77 😔 but the good news is that your decluttering number is rising steadily 😉
Cheapskate, great work de-canning the teens rooms 👏 Although as they are teenagers they should be pitching in & keeping their own rooms tidy 😉 Good luck with decluttering “pure rubbish” 🍀 so that ‘himself’ has a full car load for the Tip run 😁
Soontobeoap, wow you were very busy on Wednesday 🤩 Excellent decluttering of tasks & brilliant decluttering of physical items 👏 Only the middle of January & you are already an eighth of the way to your annual target 🥳
I have caught up a little more but need another hot drink 😉 so I will see you later 👋

I’m having another cull this afternoon if I can drag myself out of my cosy chair.Total 44= 365-44=321
so, declutterati chums a start made.
I’m facing the sunk cost issue and have decided that I’m taking an expensive jewelry item to a CS in the uk where I know they will be able to sell it in an appropriate way and a designer handbag that I’m giving to my daughter., who has told me not to sell as she would like it. I already have plenty of good quality jewelry for my only granddaughter . A small start but it’s the way to go for me. This year, jewelry, stashes, and books, as always.x18 -
Thanks for the encouragement. I really want to declutter and rehome all the surplus stuff we haven't used for years. It just seems such a big task. And I have little energy due to chronic illness. The other family members also have health problems of their own. So any BRIEF tips will be appreciated but I can't be reading these great long life stories: Information overload! I can probably budget 2 x half hours per week to sorting out. Thanks in advance.20
