@regnbue thank you for sharing the snowman story and photo..I hope you have a happy Christmas.
Dd1 came round and we had a lovely day, easy snack smoked salmon and scrambled egg, opem stocking and helped me sort things and will be back early Jan to continue.
5 items shopped from new stock in my house by the elves for the stocking.
Dd1 took a few things from sorting, tights, hat and scarf that look wonderful on her ( only as she came in just a hoodie), wrapping paper, card and my card for her and bf, toiletries ( found kitchen items she wants but now until she moves- small so will keep as she has a tiny kitchen in flat.
2 waster paper baskets, 1 I made at school binned along with a bowl.
3 towels in donation hub suitcase.
2 new toiletries won't use for bank of things.
12 jumpers and tops in cs bag along with a hat I've had for 20 years and another item.
Dd1 also took 3 therapy bands from box of supply from physios over the years.
These are all out or in cs bag tied up so will go.
Couple of other piles which will go but not counting as not bagged up and some I'm hesitant about.
So 34 but not quite the 50 I'd hoped but should get there before my cousin comes on the 29th.
I have several wicker chairs, Lloyd loom and modern which dd says I should pass on.... pondering that one.
Merry Christmas to everyone and big thanks to Mrs SD and all the decluttrai. X

Forgot big heavy furry on one side blanket from my dad's but has moth eaten bits on others so for textile recycling with 2 tops I printed for dd but the dye/ chemicals not stable. Dd2 wore hers to a theme park and came home with a much more tie dye effect than when she set off!

Merry Christmas to everyone!
Thank you so much for sharing your stories, enthusiasm and encouragement and especially Mrs SD for keeping us all on track.
Hope to be back in 2026 when perhaps I can make some progress. Decluttered our much beloved feline companion a few weeks back which has rather put paid to our efforts, which were not stellar anyway.15 -

Merry Christmas everyone.
Ps: Mrs. S_D - how do you make your cheese savouries?13 -
- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Is it Christmas Eve already 😟 Wednesday has been a dry, cold day with a high of 6°C (feeling 7° colder due to the strong chilly ENE wind) & a low of 4°C. I have started knitting another hat. See picture of previously completed hat & scarf

DH & DSis went to sm to pick up her special milk & ended up buying more sweet stuff & savoury snacks 😞 Especially bad as I made mince pies whilst they were out 😉 + I made a batch of cheese savouries for DH’s family. Dinner was shop bought individual pies, oven chips & baked beans. Wudupa.

Playing cards with the four boys last night in the conservatory, helped to shift some of the mass sausage rolls pile whilst listening to The Beatles on DGS Henrys gadget.
All the boys aged 30, 25, 24, & 21 (the last one is a part time DJ at Uni ) love 60s music and especially The Beatles.
Thank you Mrs SD for all your encouragement throughout the year, you probably have hit the nail on the head regarding consumption of sausage rolls ,apart from me, as I am really not keen on the blessed things
By the time I have finished making them I'm fed up of looking at them
I had already taken 5 dozen up the my DDs last Monday when we went to the mainland to kent to visit family. So yesterday was a lot of graft but the boys do love them as I coat the tops in egg wash and cheese and a sprinkle of sesame seeds, and the top of the sausage meat in mixed herbs or a tiny sprinkle of garlic or chilli powder to liven them up a bit.
seems to work as they consume a good few at a sitting so my DGS decluttered lots of sausage rolls last night
Happy Christmas to everyone I expect we will be decluttering paper and wrappings today at some point
Cheers chums

Merry Christmas everyone 😊
I'm just decluttering a coffee while ds relocates his various presents to shelves in his bedroom. The cat is on the window sill watching greedy starlings fighting on the bird feeder. She has had a fabulous time running through wrapping paper and hiding in gift bags this morning.
Thanks for the thread and your generous cheerleading Mrs S_D. I'll be joining in again next year as there are still items that we don't need or want that can go. That purple scarf is beautiful.
@London_1 how many sausage rolls! 😄 They must love coming home to be fed by you. My HT is the same age as your Mikey so he's in his final uni year and has been finding it a bit stressful.
@regnbue thank you for the snowman story. I wouldn't have set fire to him either.
My sister is missing a grandson as the 6 year old is in hospital with pneumonia which probably wouldn't have been so bad if the first urgent care appointment hadn't sent him home saying he just needed an inhaler. He's not liking it a bit as he's on a drip. I don't blame him, I don't like that feeling either.
I hope that you all have a happy and peaceful day. Take care all of you 😊
