2025 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN MrsSD - The Joy of Decluttering

@Green_hopeful most of the pages were covered with confidential information (think Gift Aid correspondence and membership application forms, among other things) so everything bar the printouts of documents such as the bank's Terms and Conditions had to be completely shredded. But I use the same system as you on my day-to-day shredding. I'm not like @Liverpool_Anne - I don't find it an enjoyable way to spend my time, and I'd take any shortcut to get it done faster!
Now there's no room for any more shreddings in the compost bin

Hi, on way home from my team's Xmas meal..lovely food and decluttered ££ youngsters gone on to the pub but I'm meeting friends 11am tomorrow in a pub before another meal !
Love how caring and kind this group is to family and friends and generous with everything and supportive of all fellow declutterai.
Turned wardrobe upside down to find something smart but not work like today so another area to sort rather than declutter too much.
Book and toast rack in cs bag and hope to full over the weekend.
Dd1 will help Xmas eve and will check if any vases etc she wants and any kids stuff to keep. My cousin will come round between Xmas and new year and will think categories she can help with.
Charity picked up bed and few other thing is from my dad but realise as getting things from my dad's that I could have the double mattress as dd2's needs replacing and will help pay for the van cost.
Own up to wombling 2 chairs from outside a neighbours which match 2 I have although mine have upholstery seats rather than fake leather which is original. They need minor repair but definitely had my name on them!
Hugs and healing vibes to those poorly or under the weather x

I don’t give many Christmas presents. Mostly I give my kids money to take the grandkids out for the day. I have some friends from my old work. We meet monthly and they tend to give small presents. So today i went to the refill shop, picked up some jars from the ‘Lonely Jar Club’ and filled them with treats. I popped the lids on and cut fabric rounds with pinking shears and tied them up with ribbon. Then i cut down bottle gift bags to pop them in. Hopefully they will go back and refill their jars with treats. I have made a couple for my son who loves them as well.

Yesterday was an interesting day:
Roommate Di was sick with what seems like the flu, threw up. I ended up helping to cleanup but she did some of it.
Roommate G claimed he was too sick to go see the doctor - but was able to walk down to the liquor store. Turned out it was a phone appointment so the doctor talked to him anyway and then he slept the rest of the day. Was up part of the night playing the guitar.
Roommate J decided that, since he got back pay, it was time to buy a car. Of course, he wouldn't listen about looking for places with guarantees and that sort of thing. Bought the car, drove to a town about ten miles away - and the car wouldn't start. Took the Automobile Club three hours to come and tow the car. This morning they couldn't find out what was wrong with it, so he is out trying it again.
Roommate D had a birthday yesterday. He hasn't been here for several weeks so I called and sang Happy Birthday to him. Haven't heard back yet. May have unnerved him completely.
I did get a call from my best friend who lives in Colorado. We talked for almost two hours on the phone, that was the highlight of the day. I did finish reading a book for the day. I have been trying to read one a day and then taking all of them at the end of the week to the public library for the Friends to sell. Also checking for those I won't read and adding them to the stack, so I have another bag ready to go. Finished the test question part of my Excel exam this morning and still have the worksheet part to do. I really want to finish it if I can today and get it out of the way. But I have a week to do it in. Will be going to the store for the drink part of tomorrow's chime choir event later today. Buying water and drinks - but I will be reimbursed at the Book Sale next week. Temperature still over 25C but is supposed to go down soon.
