Too a bag to cs and added some last minute bits and after work got the late train down to my dad's house . Arrived after midnight and db came in the morning..DB did a tip run and I've arranged for local charity to collect 2 beds and bedding on Friday ( db will be there).took medical stuff including old mercury thermometer to pharmacy and now on train home with suitcase, backpack and a vintage small leather suitcase. Alot of medical supplies ( banadages/ tape etc which I'm hoping a local charity will take..some stuff for me but as I am assuming sometime between March and the summer work will end i can go through stuff..I am bringing more furniture back from my dad's (.Van needed) some which needs upcycling or tlc.
Missed getting new carpet before Xmas but going to shop to book for early New year as nearly emptied the bedroom needing the carpet as well as hall and stairs .13 -
Decluttered yet another cardboard box and a ton of packaging today.
A beautiful day here on our beautiful island, not cold, blue skies and sunny. Completely different from yesterday.
Finally managed to inventory the big freezer. Am quite delighted. There is some space and the teeny tiny drawer is empty.
Blimming Evri are driving me mad, they’ve had parcels, in the plural, since last week but no notice of when they will be delivered.
Dinner was from freezer.

Please speak to your DH and explain that mould will recur when a room / building is not ventilated adequately to allow the moisture to escape. Having the trickle vents open at night will help, if you can't have a window open.Soontobeoap said:
... I decided to attack the mould in our bedroom before it takes hold.I threw open the window whilst DH got the ladder up from the shed. I started by taking everything out of top cupboards and washing down the walls with anti mould cleaner that I found online after I had cleaned it all off with bleach and painted some areas with anti mould paint last year. Since getting a new double glazed door and 2 unglazed windows done we have suffered with mould. DH doesn't like windows open in the winter so I throw them open when he is out!...2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Forgot to say I gave my Mum a spare diary, one with beautiful art work but too big to fit in my handbag.
Also gave away a magazine at craft club.
Binned a box of curtain track hooks.
I am going to wash and donate my slippers. Got them as a secret Santa last year. They are a bit like a croc and in very good condition. Mr V calls them my Wallace and Gromit shoes. They randomly stick to hard floors as you walk. I keep almost falling when I am unexpectedly stopped in my tracks. I think it is a me problem, not picking my feet up properly. I have found the other slippers I had forgotten I had, no dressing gown yet.
A very satisfying days graft for you there soontobeoap.
Mrs SD, the crafting ladies fell by the wayside due to lack of confidence and life getting in the way. One of them adopted a rescue dog that was difficult to leave etc , etc. One of them still knits blankets though. Shame, I enjoyed the company.

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday continued: l finished knitting a 2nd baby hat (see picture) + dealt with my mail.

DH spent a couple of ours fitting a volt meter to the motorbike, fortunately although cold it stayed dry. Dinner was the 2nd half of the Bolognaise sauce with conchiglie. Wudupa

Soontobeoap, excellent work both decluttering, cleaning & tidying 👏 A brilliant start to your ‘spring’ cleaning 🤩
TC77, excellent decluttering 👏 Good to hear that you have a plan for ‘stuff’ you bring back from your dad’s place 😊
Good decluttering suzeesu2000 👏 & well done on completing the inventory of your freezer 👏 Fingers crossed that Evri deliver your parcels soon 🤞
Great decluttering vulpix 👏 A pity about the slippers but they do sound rather dangerous 😧 good job you have another pair 😊 Just wondering if you might have packed your dressing gown with MrV’s 🤔 A pity that your mini craft club has fallen by the wayside but at least one of your ladies has been a success story & learnt a new skill 🥹 Once you are settled & have got to know the neighbours you might be able to start up again 😉
Sleep tight 😴

Good morning all and feeling 100% better now .
Went to knit and natter yesterday morning and had a great time a lovely lady donated to me a large bag o double knit wool in bright and pastel shades of unused wool for my charity blankets. I offered to give her some cash for charity, and she said no as she had been given them by a friend to dispose of and they were going to a great cause . it was so kind and I really appreciated it.
One of the ladies there had just been given an alms house after a very difficult year when her marriage broke down and although she walked away with very little after 33 years she was beaming and looked so chuffed.
She said just to be finally free made the fact she had left almost everything worth while. She is sleeping on an airbed someone loaned her until Saturday when her new bed gets delivered ,and her bits she's managed to accumlate is mostly flat packed but we are all rallying round her.
I've just dug out a set of single bedding set from the airing cupboard that I brought from my spare room badroom last year
No one in the family has single beds anymore so I'm going to drop them off this morning Sheets pillowcases and duvet cover plus a warm furry throw thats never been used
She has storage heaters apparently in her new place and as yet she's not sorted out how to set them ,luckily its been quite mild, although wet here . But as she is retired and has health issues she needs to keep warm.
We are also pleased for her, as she's such a nice person so everyone is helping her out if they can. Our leader is sorting out her papaerwork this morning for her, and she is another very kind person who is great at that.
So I shall pop into Ryde first thing and drop them off and just have one small present to pick up and a bottle bag then everything is done and no more Christmas shopping to be got until next year God willing
So a little bit of decluttering this morning and a wee bit more room in the airing cupboard
Its still very mild here and there is a daisy flowering in our front lawn ! ! in mid December ! Bit breezy today but dry at the moment at least
Onwards and upwards chums Two weeks to go today , are you all sorted or are you panicking about Christmas ? its just two days chums and before you know it the dekkies will be down and winter will really set in
Have a great day everybody what ever you are doing ,just relax and enjoy it

I've not been well all week with a horrible cold type virus, but I've been tracking all the decluttering still. DD needs to get rid of paperwork soon as her drawer is almost full. DS definitely needs to go through and get rid of stuff... he tends to put everything in his room, even if rubbish and never thinks about whether it should go. He needs hand holding to go through it all.Digital:

Big kitchen declutter challenge 140/150I've been thinking about next year already and considering some monthly mini challenges. I think January would be good for wearing all of my clothes. I'm going to turn all the hangers backwards and make sure everything gets worn. That way I can weed out the odd thing I don't like that's in there.2025 decluttering: 5,544 🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅🌟🌟2025 use up challenge: 513🥉🥈🥇💎🏆 👑Big kitchen declutter challenge 143/1502025 decluttering goals I Use up Challenge: 🥉365 🥈750 🥇1,000 💎2,000 🏆 3,000 👑 8,000 I 🥉12 🥈26 🥇52 💎 100 🏆 250 👑 50013 -
What a lovely post London 1. Everyone supporting everyone and giving what they don't use and need to help someone else without any expectation of anything in return.
I have seen it time and time again on this thread and see how selflessly people give things to benefit others.

Ooh vulpix it sounds like those slippers should be binned not donated, what if the next person is not as prepared as you and takes a tumble? I know id rather not take that chance for the couple of pounds a charity might get for them. In fact its worrying me now and they aren't even my slippers 😆 😅

Hi all, well it feels like I have had a busy couple of days but not decluttered that much 😂. Tuesday was spent mostly trying to clean and yesterday I had a meet up with a couple of ex colleagues for coffee in the morning which was nice. Some little annoyances have been dealt with, the top of the gas cupboard was cleared and bits of carp binned etc, the landing light bulb blew so that was changed, I have a minor stash of light bulbs that I knew where they were so that was good I could just lay my hands on one 😁, a couple more t shirts into the cs bag, bedroom bin emptied and 2 LDFPA. Some cards were written but not finished yet and more presents wrapped, only 2 more to wrap but I need to get some bits for OH, main present has already been given and is in use but I need to get some bits to open on the day. I have wrapped for posting today presents for dsis and bil and birthday present for bil. I have 2 birthdays in January that need presents and I have those sitting waiting to be wrapped but they will be fine when the Christmas wrapping has been put away 😁.
More food has been used up from the boxes in the lr and I have started a little box of stuff to go to the friend who is collecting home stuff for her church project but OH suggested she might not want it cluttering up her house before Christmas. I will have a chat with her about that, but at least it's starting to be sorted 😁
Today I have the dentist so some money will be decluttered there but it can't be helped 🙄.
Right time to get weaving 😁
Hugs to everyone who would like one
