Green_hopeful, I don’t need to take any marks out. I am just getting a bit concerned of them yellowing or becoming dull. I think I’m going to get the Mrs Stewart’s liquid, apparently, as you use so little, it lasts forever. So I have been upside down again with all of my Christmas crafting. The house has had to take a back seet for a while. Yesterday I was absolutely fed up with it all so did a good sort through of all of the stuff in the dining room. All dry washing taken upstairs. I have been meaning to do this daily! Then I sorted craft bits into newly acquired large hamper basket. And binned another bin bag full of left over bits of scrap, packaging from parcels that have been arriving, a biscuit tin that DH wanted to keep for Justin but never found somewhere to go. ( I don't think he will notice) Some crafting bits went back to storeroom at the social club for craft group too. Finally finished cork board for DSon. So a load of corks will leave the house when we head their way for Christmas. Also have been using up felt wool and card stock for sheep cards for craft group.

Impressive photos Granny Kate, It does look cold though.
Gave my old friend but a newbe crafter a ball of green wool and knitting needles. She bought some Christmas cards from a craft fair with a little knitted Christmas tree on. I showed her what to do and off she went with it. I am expecting great things.
I bought for want of a better word a "bin" in the sales in January for 50p.I want to use it as a Christmas tree base. I have put an empty popcorn tub in it to keep it rigid and Mr V has drilled a hole in the plastic lid to fit the tree trunk through as the tree feet are too wide to fit in. Photo incoming.
Great job with the cork board soontobeoap. I am the same with crafting things, I have decided to make stuff to decorate the house with for Christmas, got all the relevant bits out and I actually don't have enough hours in the day to get on with it.
Friday will be the day we stop home and clear the decks. Putting up pictures and mirrors takes so much longer than you expect it to. Then perhaps I can put the big Christmas tree up.
Off to DD1's tomorrow and shopping in Sheffield.

Tuesday continued: DH has gone out on the bike (15:00) He will post the Christmas cards & then ride to my cousin R’s house to pick up the large ornate family photo album which was loaned to her DDad about 3 years ago. Traffic was awful both there & back (only 8.5 miles as the crow flies but takes well over an hour each way) He stopped for a cuppa & chat whilst playing with the dog, Luca 😊 Called in at As*a on the way home to post cards & pick up a few bits including bread, finally arriving home about 18:30. Dinner was spaghetti bolognaise. I have started knitting a smaller sized hat in a pastel green yarn + mended a couple of pairs of my Sunday knickers. Rained on & off from about 16:00. Wudupa

London_1, sounds like you are feeling a lot better as you had a rather busy Monday ☺️ Hope you found the woolly hat 🤞 Although it will be a long day, the 22nd sounds like it will be marvellous 🤩 especially seeing young Daisy 🥹 Please try not to overtire yourself with the craft projects & knitting 🙏
Great work with the paper decluttering oceanspirit 👏 Good luck completing the cleaning frog & writing cards 🍀 Enjoy the scented candle & I hope it doesn’t take too long to burn down 😊
Great decluttering Fizz2015 👏 Nice to hear that the medal cheered you up 😊 I hope you enjoy both your DD’s Christmas concert & tonight’s concert ☺️
London_1, I am sending flowers 💐 for your DD - such a lovely surprise ☺️ Good luck sorting the kitchen drawers 🍀 I imagine you are looking forward to seeing DGS Henry & meeting his gf Jade 😊 Looks like you might be needing 2 new hats 😉
Liverpool_Anne, what a pleasant way to spend time - lunching with friends ☺️ & I can understand how easy it is to forget the time & have a 7 hour lunch 😅 Fingers crossed that you can find a photo of DSis’s dog & that there is enough time for your friend to paint a copy🤞 It will be a lovely present especially as her dog is such a great age 🤩
suzeesu2000, This “….. am in the process of decluttering money as its bill paying day....the noise you can hear is me sobbing!” I had been wondering what that ‘sound’ was 😥
Liverpool_Anne, I put washing soda in every wash & reduce the amount of washing gel - seems to work. 🙂
Almost caught up with the cheerleading but just noticed the time so will post & head to bed. Sleep tight 😴

Took a large box of books and a bag of 30 plus paperback mysteries, plus several games and puzzles to the library today. Doesn't look like I made a dent in here but I keep trying. Managed to get all of the mysteries put on the revolving rack for paperbacks for sale in the Friends book store. We had a Budget meeting of the Friends and decided to increase our official budget as we have extra in the bank. We actually already have enough in the bank to cover next year's budget. I like to keep way ahead so we don't have to panic about raising funds at the last minute and to cover special events as they come up. Did a load of laundry when I got home as I realized I had no socks to wear that were clean. Worked at the Family History Center tonight and helped with several people's problems which got solved before we had to leave. The Relief Society was having their Christmas dinner so got fed there while we were working. Went home and had brisket that had been cooked on the barbeque in front of my house today by one of the roommates (he set up the grill on the driveway). Good thing I ate at the church though as all they had at home was the brisket and nothing else! Roommates aren't known for having balanced meals. We are still having summer weather it seems - tomorrow is supposed to be over 30C here. Glad I didn't put away the summer clothes yet. Something is really wrong with the weather pattern. At least the heating bill is staying really low so far.16

Good Morning chums,
Knit and Natter morning this morning, its supposed to be a dry day, but looking out of my bedroom window there are a few black clouds looming
I have my car this morning as DD will borrow it tomorrow to go swimming instead.
She's busy sorting out the spare room for Henry and his young lady arriving on Friday night. I think she's going to blitz the house today
We hold our K&N in the Coop cafe in Ryde so I can park under cover there which is handy if the rain does descend. Being unwell last week I really missed going so a good catch up this week I think
I also have some odd balls of wool to pass on as I'm trying to reduce some of my wool stash so a bit of decluttering as well. We have one lady there that we all collect our cut off ends of wool together and give to her as she uses it to stuff toys with. I have a small lidded box and when its full I always take it in and give it to her We really waste absolutely nothing at all.
One lady had crocheted a large Harry Potter witches hat for one of her grandsons whose HP mad, and it looked amazing. Another lady makes cross stitch Christmas cards, and sells them to raise funds for the homeless.I bought one with a Westie dog on the front and my DD framed it and its hanging on her wall. She has a little rescued Westie dog.
We are a mixed bunch and all do different things, and its great fun for two hours and all for the price of a cuppa The Coop are quite happy that we meet there as everyone buys something or gets some shopping afterwards
Right time yo get a wriggle on,still haven't found my hat yet But I know its in my bedroom somewhere I will find it eventually
Onwards and upwards
Cheers chums

Wednesday is bright & sunny at 11:00. Forecast is for a high of 13°C(feeling 3° colder) & low of 8°C although still quite a strong wind of 13mph with gusts of 28mph. I have my first cuppa & have settled down to do the cheerleading before I get distracted by anything else 😉
GrannyKate, not surprised that you have a touch of “post travelling lethargy” 😉 you had a very busy & active holiday 😊 What a great result re the Christmas tree 👏 & an even more brilliant result re the sale of the large oak wardrobe 🥳 Fingers crossed that the dressing table is undamaged🤞 Great work decluttering the holiday laundry & unpacking 👏 Love the teapot cosy ☺️
Green_hopeful, thank you for this useful & eco friendly information 🙂
GrannyKate, gorgeous photos of Helsinki ☺️ some rather beautiful buildings & even your photos show how clean everywhere is 🤩
Soontobeoap, excellent work decluttering & tidying your craft supplies 👏 I love the cork board & very impressed at your patience 😊 Finally paying attention to your signature and noticed your new 2025 decluttering total of 105/52 🥳 A Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way as well as my congratulations on doubling up for the year 👏🥳
vulpix, when I read This “Gave my old friend but a newbe crafter a ball of green wool and knitting needles. She bought some Christmas cards from a craft fair with a little knitted Christmas tree on. I showed her what to do and off she went with it. I am expecting great things.” which is brilliant by the way 🤩 I was reminded about a home based craft club (I think it was you?) & was wondering how the ladies were getting on 🤔 Good luck for Friday & “clearing the decks” 🍀
So lovely to see you weenancy 👋🥹 Excellent decluttering of books, puzzles & games 👏 A medal 🏅 is on its way 😊 Hopefully you will start to notice a difference in the not too distant future 🤞 Wonderful news that the Friends budget is so healthy 🥳 I think we should put you in charge of the U.K.’s budget 😉 I see your roommates are as ‘haphazard & erratic’ as ever (the politest words I could think of 🙊) Although 30°C ‘sounds’ as if it would be quite lovely it does remind me more of a summer holiday than the Christmas season 😞 I agree with you that “Something is really wrong with the weather pattern.” 🥺 despite certain people’s protestations that there is no such thing as climate change 😖 I hope you are keeping well & look forward to ‘seeing’ a bit more of you over the next few weeks 🙏
London_1, so pleased to hear that you are feeling so much better & that you & the ladies of the Knit & Natter group will be putting the world to rights 🥹 Also very impressed at the ‘Community Spirit’ of the Coop - everyone wins ☺️ The HP hat sounds amazing 😻 Good luck to your DD with her house cleaning blitz 🍀 & fingers crossed that you find your hat before the weather gets any colder 🤞 Just a thought… might your hat accidentally be in one of your DD’s drawers 🤔
Will you look at that, I am all caught up 🥳 Hope everyone has as good a day as possible & stays safe, dry & warm 😊 See you later 👋 Still a clear, bright crisp day 😊

Thank you for my gold star @Mrs_Salad_Dodger.
I have really channeled my inner declutterati and cleaning vibe today. I decided to attack the mould in our bedroom before it takes hold.I threw open the window whilst DH got the ladder up from the shed. I started by taking everything out of top cupboards and washing down the walls with anti mould cleaner that I found online after I had cleaned it all off with bleach and painted some areas with anti mould paint last year. Since getting a new double glazed door and 2 unglazed windows done we have suffered with mould. DH doesn't like windows open in the winter so I throw them open when he is out!🫢. Anyway one thing led to another and I have hoovered the room under the bed and under moveable cupboards, found socks that I had lost and a Micky Mouse nose ( don't ask 😂) and an earring back. It always amazes me how much dust collects under a bed! DHs records and CDs that were moved upstairs when we decorated the living room have all been moved to the other side of the room in the hope that he will trip over them getting into bed and put them back in the cupboard downstairs where they belong. I still have the bed to make and some bits to put away. Hadn't I tended to go to this extreme but feel so much better for it. I have started my spring cleaning early.
I will do the same with the front bedroom tomorrow and have decided that next year my priority will be to sort every cupboard in the house as well as shed and craft shed. That should keep me busy. I don't usually find my mojo just before Christmas when I have plenty of other things to keep me occupied. The thought of being able to report back with all of my hard work today kept me going.
