Busy day here, finally donated the tent & sleeping bags to a homeless shelter.
3 bags to my fave charity shop, was so nice to be greeted with a big smile and thanks..
(I went to donate to a mainstream cs a while ago where I got the 3rd degree about what was in the bags, they were definitely not polite, I know they can get some dodgy donations yet being rude to people isn’t ok..)
Feel better for it being gone & will put out a new bag by the stairs for the next collection of things to be rehomed!
Contemplating putting the decorations up over the weekend.. not a fan of Christmas at all (it’s Yule to me) yet feel my boys and hubster would appreciate the extra sparkle n cheer right now!!Decluttered my veg scraps into the slow cooker to make stock & also did a freezer inventory 😇 I’m impressed with myself for that one!
Admin day for my Ma tomorrow so will see if any decluttering can be done for her 😉"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇🥇🥇11 -

Thursday was very dark & overcast with an expected high of 14°C (feeling 4° colder) & a low of 9°C. Up before 11:00 as going to have a bath. I had a cuppa first then had my bath about 12:00. A short one for me as only 30 minutes 🙊Before my bath I hopped onto the scales & was pleasantly surprised 😊 Left the house 13:05 & got to dentist 14:35 (5 minutes late although then had to wait for 10 minutes) Several practices putting the 2 new single tooth dentures in & taking them out. The receptionist was off work so dentist did the computer work - all a bit slow & will have to wait a couple of days for my refund of overpaid monies. Eventually got home 16:45. Very fortunate as everywhere I went I missed the rain 😊 DH & DSis had been shopping & most of it put away. Pizza for dinner. Wudupa. I have decluttered a call to my bank & some admin 🙂 as well as continuing with scarf knitting + paid the milkman.

Hi all. Not much to report - have wasted lots of time doing an infuriating jig saw puzzle. It is one of a set of three so I guess the others will be just as bad. Only a third done and those are the easy sections - ie ones with a picture. The rest is all background. Sun is out today and Sox keeps doing zoomies. He is sleeping now in his new favourite bed - the beehive one I bought him for his birthday in January a few days after I got him. After 10 months of completely ignoring it he has decided to sleep there most of the day for last week or so. I have to go 'parcel sit' waiitng for delivery in a bit and I am going to get overseas stamps ready to post before I go away on Weds.
A few more Christmas bits bought and pleased to know several stockings are full and I have half or more for the others. Everything wrapped as I go along. Some cards written to take with me to DDs as postage is so high. 1p saver is just £2 short of all the money needed for Christmas envelopes. So pleased I have stuck with it this year. There will be a little bit over if I continue to 31st Dec towards Christmas Tree - which reminds me to book a collection after Christmas via Hospice.
1165 Wrapping and sorting presents
1166 Christmas boxes down from loft - I did this in stages over an hour - need a better and safer loft ladder here - I won't decorate until after my holiday but I did put out a door mat and hung a card holder on an empty picture hook. There is room for boxes to stay out in utility room until after Christmas.
Bags of stuff to go to DD sorted but nothing in case so far.

Thank you @Mrs_Salad_Dodger for my 3 gold stars.
I have been back from holiday for a month and have been exceedingly lazy. It's taken me a long time to get into better sleeping patterns and it's cold so a struggle to go out and instead I've been indoors a lot with the heating on watching tv and on the internet. I've also been eating non-stop.
Over the last 2 days I've put insulation film on 8 window panes so I do occasionally have spurts of activity. It is a faff to do it but hopefully will stop the rivers of condensation inside the windows this winter. The boxed xmas tree and box of xmas decs are downstairs having been removed from the ROD. The empty suitcase is waiting patiently outside the door of the ROD.
Before I went to Japan everyone was saying how you'll end up buying an extra suitcase for all the souvenirs. I was confident I wouldn't have to as I don't really do souvenirs and we had very little free time available. My suitcase was one of the smallest of the group and whilst many others bought additional luggage I didn't but I did buy an awful lot of stuff, including souvenirs (mostly for other people) and so I just decluttered more clothing than I had originally planned.
So I have a high number of "ins" for last month.
I also tackled a 10" high pile of newspaper supplement articles mostly from last year, some from 2020. It was nice to cosy down and read them and over a few days I had read over half of the pile. If the rest are not read by the end of December they will go into recycling.
My numbers for October are:
uud hand sanitiser
novelty pencil to friend
uud pen
papers x 30 (counting as 3)
uud notebook
darning x 4
Holiday decluttering:
2 x t-shirts
2 x socks
2 x bras
long sleeved top
5 x knickers
toothbrush
toothpaste
shower puff
2 x nail polish (1 clear)
Ins: cat paperweight to join the other 4 in my collection
Japanese ins (43): 5m of fabric, small gold leaf pot, book ends (2), tote bag, 2 shopping bags, 6 x small ceramics, approx 30 other bits and bobs mostly ultimately disposable items - stationery/pens etc. Japan is cuteness overload and I am a sucker for a bunny/cat/teddy item

It flippingwell rained again!
Decluttered the biggest cardboard box I have ever seen! Had to get new totes for DHs sweatshirts, hoodies, jumpers and going out clothes. My DH is an ex rugby player so he’s not a little chap and neither are his clothes. I got 2 that are 110ltr size. The box is vast, seriously I could have put it up as housing. But I have no need of it so out it went. Within an hour of being delivered, clothing all changed over to new totes And broken ones removed from house. Yay me.
No dinner for me today as having one of my normal tummy issues so just had some toast. Did get a frozen leftover meal out for tomorrow though. DH had dinner from freezer today.
Been a quiet day.
Hope to get some “to do” jobs dealt with tomorrow. REALLY REALLY want it not to rain so this blimming raised bed can be done and finished with.
Have a great weekend all, sleep tight xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Friday was a brighter day than yesterday with a high of 13°C (feeling 5° colder) low 9°C. Spent the day knitting & am about 3/4 of the way to finishing another scarf. About 18:30 there was a knock on the door - delivery for my DSis. The delivery guy had spotted me knitting & told me a sad tale of how a hat sent from his family in Nigerian had been lost in the post 😞 I made an instant decision & offered him one of the hats I had already knitted. He put it on, thanked me & asked if he could give me a hug - I said yes 😉 Dinner was quiche & boiled potatoes for DSis whilst DH & I had sea bass, boiled potatoes & peas. Wudupa.

GrannyKate, shame about the jigsaw 😞 hope it doesn’t take too long to finish 🤞 I must admit I do prefer my jigsaws with ‘busy’ pictures 😉 Sounds like you are well on your way to being ready for Christmas 😊 Well done on keeping up with the 1p Savings Challenge 🥳
regnbue, has it really been a month since your holiday of a lifetime? Rather than being “exceedingly lazy” I would say that it is taking time to adjust to being back & getting into the swing of things 😉 After all your trip was jam packed, with little time to just relax. Some excellent decluttering whilst you were away & very impressed that you didn’t buy another suitcase 👏
Nice to see you Pennypincin 👋 Well done on decluttering books 👏
suzeesu2000, well done on the tidying & decluttering 👏 I did laugh at This “Decluttered the biggest cardboard box I have ever seen! ……………. The box is vast, seriously I could have put it up as housing. But I have no need of it so out it went.” 😂 Fingers crossed for a dry weekend so that you can get the raised bed emptied & dismantled 🤞Sorry to hear about your “tummy issues” 😞 hopefully you will be OK tomorrow 🙏
Sleep tight everyone 😴
