TD wasn’t collected on Friday. Apparently it will now be collected a week on Monday. Not holding my breath on that one.
Finished reading a book yesterday so that is on CS pile. A few more papers off the reading pile - not as many as I would have liked but any progress is good, no matter how small. Did some batch cooking today so will be able to eat mainly from freezer this week and tomorrow’s meal is in the fridge.

The only thing I have found that cleans stains in cups is baking soda (bicarb soda) made into a paste and rubbed on. Works on stained teeth too. Of course, I sometimes leave the stains for awhile around here so no one else will use my tea mugs. Clean them just before I use them instead of just after.14

Sunday was a mainly dry day with a high of 10°C (feeling 5° colder) low of 5°C & a couple of light showers. DH made soup. I started knitting a hat. Watched TV. Quick call to cousin R to confirm she had received my email. Currently packing but still awaiting exchange of contracts. Dinner was slow cook BBQ pulled pork with mash & green beans. Wudupa.

Excellent decluttering Wednesday2000 👏 Hope you enjoyed the comedy show 😊 Ouch to hurting your little toe 😣 hopefully it will get better quickly 🤞
Lovely post London_1 😊Very pleased to hear that your DD is making such good progress 🥹 A pity about having to replace both your phone & laptop - I empathise 😔 as my DH also recently had to buy a new mobile & a PC - expensive business having to replace 2 items at once 😬 I imagine you are looking forward to seeing DGS Jack ☺️ Good luck with the “great wrapping up of things” 🍀
suzeesu2000, pleased to hear that your DH is on the mend 😊 This “A few years ago, we had a homeless people shelter in a remodelled double decker bus, think it WAS called the Bus Shelter.” is such a brilliant idea 🤩 & when I read This “I made up a Christmas gift for each of their guests, 18 men and 3 ladies. Was just a parcel containing things a homeless person might need plus a nice something too. For the ladies I added some perfume and make up, for the men aftershave plus everyone got sweeties too. And a handmade, handwritten card, just so they knew someone was really thinking of them and counting her blessings a LOT.” I was so touched - what a caring & thoughtful thing for you to do 🥹 Great work dealing with your post immediately 👏
GrannyKate, I went this colour 🤢 reading This “I did tackle the overflowing shower drain which was not surprisingly filled with long hair and rather revolting. I got drain cleaner and used most of it with two goes at shower drain.” so well done you & please accept 💐 Great work with the Christmas gift wrapping 👏
Happy_Kitties, congratulations on your new kitchen 🥳 More excellent decluttering 👏 & now that the work is almost completed I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ to accompany your 🥇
Green_hopeful, absolutely brilliant being able to support such a worthy charity 🥹

Excellent decluttering Muddy_Walker 👏 Great work reaching your target 👏 Two Gold Stars ⭐️⭐️ are on their way. Great photos & I love the look of the new bedroom furniture 😊
Excellent decluttering suzeesu2000 👏 & great work getting your laundry done 🥳 Definitely a productive day 😊
oceanspirit, shame that the td wasn’t collected on Friday 😔 Fingers crossed that the new collection date is met 🤞Keep up the good work reducing the reading pile 😊
weenancy, thanks for the great cleaning tip 👏
All caught up so will post & head to bed. Sleep tight 😴

Another week rolls around..😮💨 a lot has been going on, so trying to keep my motivation on the up & the pesky BD away as much as possible.
We did successfully tidy up the loft yesterday! 🥳
Enough gone to require an emergency tip trip.. we also threw in some lingering items from the garage.. Felt good to get it gone that day. I also added items to my memory box.. Had a little reminisce, popped it all back in, sealed it and put it back up in loft)Made decisions about other items and we’ll be making a pile to go to the scrappies before Xmas.. (so stuff out and a little £ in!)
Today is sorting the things from the loft that can be donated (tent, sleeping bags, Christmas jumpers😳..there’s about 10 that need rehoming & it’s a perfect time to do so!🎄)
Waiting for another car repair so I am grounded for a few days.. perfect time to do stuff about the house!Have a gammon in the slow cooker, so that’s tea covered..
Wishing everyone a good week.. 💗"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇🥇🥇12 -
I have been through the remaining items from my step sons house and the lady from the homeless charity is coming tomorrow. Hopefully it’s good enough for their needs. I will see if there is anything else they need because I am sure we can spare quite a lot of things.10

Lots of day to day jobs done so not much on the decluttering front. Just one book onto CS pile - have tried reading it a couple of times but there are other books I would rather read so not forcing myself to get into it.10

Milton sterilising fluid will also work, just a little in a mug to up with water, I often transferred it to each mug until all have been cleaned. My issued are caused because I'm between dishwashers so the inside glaze isn't there anymore.weenancyinAmerica said:The only thing I have found that cleans stains in cups is baking soda (bicarb soda) made into a paste and rubbed on. Oceanspirit I've decided life's too short and there are too many books to read a book I don't enjoy.

Monday: high 7°C (feeling 3° colder) low 5°C & it has rained overnight. The soup DH made yesterday is delicious 😋 DH filled the bird feeders prior to heading out on his walk. I have finished knitting another hat & have started on another scarf.

We had a couple of short showers during the day.
Dinner was spaghetti bolognaise. Wudupa.

Morning all. Thanks for the flowers Mrs SD. I had a shower yesterday and the water went down fine. Carpet in there is still wet but not as bad. I may end up replacing flooring with some cheap short term hard floor. Car went for MOT which was fine but 12v battery had been playing up and it was apparently knackered so instead of £50 I ended up spending £250 which was not planned for. I've not been doing much but trying to get most of Christmas done before I go away. A few more stocking gifts purchased. No plans to go out today. Think I forgot to list that I had emptied plants out of greenhouse. Loads of green tomatoes for DS2 to do something with.
