Man you lot can talk/type 🤣🤣
This year's decluttering list involves selling a whole house sorting it a lot of stuff here at new one and a building job later in year.
Unfortunately we will be having to put our cat to sleep this week as he has cancer and we can tell he started to get unhappy now 😢😢
Sorry to hear Mr F not well but hoping he starts to get better now
Sorry nothing much has sunk in tbh as I've read but glad to hear you all off to a good start with decluttering and sorry to hear some of you have suffered illnesses and losses.
DD will be taking her driving test for a second time this week so really hope she passes as we had her car sat in garage since October and I'd like to declutter it outside to give me more sorting space 🤣21 -

Morning all!
Not much going on here today, work flooded yesterday due to a burst pipe so we were all redirected to another branch. We're working there this week also. So absolutely chaos haha!
Popping to my mams for an hour or two just to get out of the house whilst OH is off to visit his sister to see his newphew and niece.
Plan on meal prepping food later, not sure what to make yet though.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. Hi all, sorry not posted for a couple of days. On Friday I was at the funeral. The weather was tricky, had a small skid on the ice after dropping someone home but no bumps, main roads were fine but side roads were a bit lethal. Also slipped getting into the house despite wearing my big boots but managed to save myself. Yesterday was another early start as we had a lunchtime kick off at the football so today I am having a slow start
.
Not much decluttering done, kitchen recycling, bedroom recycling, lr bin, 3 cardboard boxes recycled, candle jar binned as it had cracked so couldn't wash and recycle. The new bulb for the lava lamp arrived so that has been installed and tested. I was a bit worried as it had stood unused for so long that it wouldn't but all good and I remembered how much I liked it 😁. I have added another pair of trousers to the mend pile, the ones I wore to the funeral are now too big as I seem to have lost some weight since I last wore them. I will look to see what I can do but they are fitted so will require some sewing skills 😂. If I decide it is beyond me they might have to go to the cs.
I have started the next baby blanket. I found some pale green yarn for this one in my stash. I think I will have enough for a slightly smaller blanket but the pink one was quite big for a baby blanket so I think it will do. I decided to do green because dad is Irish and the baby is due on St. Patrick's day and it's a change from the pink/ blue thing 😁. We have been having uu meals to help clear the fridge of los. Last night I had 2 boiled eggs with new potatoes and spinach. Those bags of spinach seem to last forever but it is the only green veg OH will eat so we often get it, good job I love it 😁.
It's threatening to get above freezing today so as I have washing swishing I might try it on the line and the bird feeders need sorting so I will have to go out into the garden anyway 😁. I will see how much I can get done today as I have another early start tomorrow, dentist appointment 😁.
I have tried to catch up with the posts but not much retained unfortunately 😁
@Florenceem big hugs
Right off for another cuppa and to sort out the washing.
Hugs to everyone who would like one
60 kitchen recycling
61 bedroom recycling
62 lr bin
63 - 65 cardboard boxes
66 candle jar
Take care everyone

Thank you Madam Mim for the recipe. When I thought about it after I asked, I assumed it must be a yummy jam sandwich. My kids loved home made flapjack and a glass of milk after school. They still love it when I make it now and they are in their 20's/30's. I shall make some of your recipe to take when I visit my daughter next week.
Dizzycap, oh dear that was a double whammy. Well done for managing to do what you have. A short break with your daughter will be something to look forward to.
Florenceem, yes SA will have to manage without you for a bit, you have more important things on your plate at the moment. Hopefully when you visit today, the antibiotics will have started to kick in. xx
It is 10 weeks until we go on holiday, not impossible to lose a stone in that time. I have made a start by decluttering 1.5 lbs since New Year just by getting back to normal foods. I am on a mission now!
Two big Ochre themed scarves and an Ochre back pack in the charity bag. Too yellow for me now a days.
I am trying to empty the freezer so I can clean it. I think a slow cooker random vegetable concoction will be on the menu tonight.
I WILL, go through one of the sets of drawers in the sitting room today.
3 degrees today, positively tropical. Vx:18 -
Good morning (just),
Five things deccluttered yesterday - 2 boxes of cat food, 1 plastic box and 2 plastic plates to friend's house. One box of cat food is one that the cat won't eat and the other was a cheap asda one that I haven't actually been brave enough to try on the cat. The whole thing was to feed the foxes in my friend's back garden as one has a bad paw. A person who knows more about foxes than us was calling round with some antibiotics for it so something to mix the medication in was needed. Fox food left out, squirrels fed and we visited some other friends together while I was out.
This morning I have decluttered 15 things. Most were from downstairs but 3 were from my bedroom.
@Florenceem if MrF is that sleepy are they giving him anything to drink? Dehydration could cause even more problems. Rather than risk him choking ask the nurse for some of those sponge things on sticks that look like lollies - you can dip them in water and use them to moisten his mouth and lips.
Take care all of you 😊17 -
Morning everyone
I've skim read the 200+ posts since i last looked but not retained all the information, sorry.
Sending gentle hugs to you @Florenceem, I hope the visit today goes well.
We've had snow and icy conditions so I stayed in for 3 whole days! Grateful I was able to wfh. We had our Book Group online which was ok but not the same as in person. It is thawing a bit today so I am braving the big supermarket and going to visit DD1 and family afterwards.
I decluttered all my self employment work by Friday so yesterday I was able to start to tackle the small bedroom that I want to turn into my office. I have now filled another bag for the CS, put a load of paper in the recycling bin (some of which was DD2's notes from uni, she graduated in 2021 oops) and taken a load of soft plastics to the recycling at the c00p. I have also thrown away a few broken items that can't be reused or recycled.
Love to all

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday: having done rather well yesterday today I didn’t get up until 12:30 😔 & of course have woken up with a headache 😞 My first cuppa should sort that out though 😉 It is very grey & dull outside with a high of 3°C & a low of -3°C. DSis has just seen a sparrow hawk on the hedge in our back garden, trying to get at the little birds hiding in there. I know it is nature but we are both pleased that the sparrow hawk was unsuccessful 😊 Straight into cheerleading:
Beautiful baby blanket Liverpool_Anne 😍
A couple of great purchases vulpix 😊 Great cheerleading post 😊 & some excellent decluttering & cleaning 👏 As to the jumper, you KNOW you want to finish it before it becomes a Cane toad 😉 Just think of the joy you will feel once it is no longer cluttering up your home 😅
Yippee 🥳 now cheerleading for posts dated the 9th 💃
Liverpool_Anne loved the ‘Laundry Tales’ 😁 Reminds me that from age 5 to 14 my dear mum was manageress of a launderette & we lived in the flat above it + my Dis was born in the dining room 🥹 Excellent decluttering & very well done on dealing with two frogs 👏 I am almost positive that ‘sweary swearing’ is conducive to setting up laptops, computers, iPads & phones 🤣
GrannyKate, great news that the roofers are finished & have done a good job 🥳 Excellent decluttering 👏 & I especially like the way the Christmas tree was decluttered 😊 Hope the electrical work is completed quickly & efficiently 🤞
Lovely post Moorviews 😊 Good luck with the spice drawer 🍀
ruby_eskimo, This “…….. I also have sensitive teeth but have a lovely and very understanding dentist who I've threatened with stalking if she ever leaves this practice 😂” is perfectly understandable & even reasonable 😉 After all finding a dentist is difficult enough but finding a good dentist is one of life's great joys 😊 Great decluttering 👏 just a shame about the mug 😕 hope it wasn’t a favourite 🤞
Sorry to hear that you are unwell again nannywindow 😞 You do realise that you don’t have to be ill to make use of the facilities available in the TLC carriage 😉 Shame that your Dad can’t be referred for cataract surgery 😕 as it would be make such a huge difference to his quality of life 🥹 Some excellent decluttering 👏 & thanks for the beef casserole - I was lucky enough to get a large bowlful & a chunk of fresh bread 😋
Sorry to hear that you too are unwell oceanspirit 😔 Great work by OH digging up dead plants 👏 Please don’t be cross that you have no energy, please just try to get plenty of rest & a good night’s sleep 🙏
Soontobeoap, I don’t know whether to be happy or sad for you 🤨 I imagine the reason for decluttering the freezer was to create a bit of space as well as doing the inventory 🤔 So great news that no food binned but of course that doesn’t help if you have items to freeze ☹️ Well done on decluttering a bag of socks especially as they are going on to a 2nd useful life 👏
Welcome aboard the EDT BiddyMcGregor 👋 lovely to see a new face 😊 I understand that QueenJess has explained her system (on page 55) She has been decluttering for a few years now & has been very successful using this system 👏 I am looking forward to following your decluttering journey 😊 Remember you don’t have to set number targets, in fact you don’t have to set any targets at all 😊 Good luck 🍀
Lovely post Duchess2 😊 Pleased to hear that you stayed indoors on the 9th - rather than risk an accident in treacherous conditions 👏 I hope you got lots of doggy cuddles from DS’s dog 😉
foxandflowers, sea swimming in January 🥶 You are a braver soul than I am 😉 Sorry to hear about the unintentional declutter of your glasses 😔 Hopefully the prescription sunglasses worked & you have managed to get a new pair of glasses as a priority delivery 🙏
Good work suzeesu2000 👏
Wednesday2000, sounds like the Lazy Susans have been a really good buy 😊 It is wonderful how much joy we can get from having tidy, well organised kitchen cupboards 🥳
Another page caught up 👏 I hope everyone is having as good a day as possible & managing to stay warm 😊 Will be back shortly once I have my 2nd cuppa 😉

I'm still half in the tlc carriage whilst I try and get back to normal, although scuppered by having sat down for all of 30 mins last night before DD was sick everywhere in her bed... cue a lot of washing and checking on her constantly until about 4:30am (when I was sure she was ok and sleeping nicely) by which time I'd done 4 loads of washing (and hung out) and finished an entire 1,000 piece puzzle. Seems like a one off incident as she's fine this morning, but we are feeding her simple food just in case. I had a gin and tonic last night and with all the disruption it took me 7 hours to drink one glass!A few bits to declare, but not done much this week. I still have a box of crafting to do, photos to sort out, library to reorganise, a box of stuff I need to go through to decide what to keep and what to go and the usual using up of things. I'll get there eventually...Digital:
