Thinking of you both Florenceem, and hoping he gets some help and that you get some answers soon.
I got lots cleared out of the junk room today, and got it all straight out into the skip despite the cold - one of those lovely crisp blue winter skies. This evening I went through both sets of bedside drawers, such a personal dumping ground. I have a good pile of toiletries for the food bank gifting pile, more books for the donate pile, etc.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Helloooooooo!
am back out of the TLC carriage having eaten Many Of The Yummy Things 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Had a female procedure which the nurse was as quick and gentle as she could be. Supposed to have gone shopping but was too tired so came home, grumbled at hubby and went to bed for a few hours. Did me the world of good!
I have done some more frog work but will update numbers later this weekend.
Chips and mayonnaise for tea….nom!

@Florenceem Sending all good wishes for you and Mr F.
Grocery delivery arrived and put away, which led to rearranging the main food shelf, which led to using up an ood (only 2022) tin of soup for lunch, with the last slice of sourdough bread toasted.Similar ood tin of red beans put on the worktop in hopes of remembering to cook them up and add to some mince & tomato meals in the freezer.Threw out some red bush teabags bbe 2020 (bought for my DSis, as her favourite, but she hasn’t visited since before the lockdowns). Box to recycling.
Jar of ancient desiccated coconut removed from cupboard (I’ve no idea how old it is but I haven’t used the brand of coffee whose jar it occupies for at least ten years).
Shelf reorganised, which probably means I shan’t be able to find anything for ages.
Still ploughing through the insurance docs (and losing the will to live! 😔)
One hour’s ironing done.
Frayed pillowcase put aside for the decorative trim to be removed & reused, the pillowcase to be repurposed for my dog’s bedding.
Birthday card and online voucher sorted for my DSis’s birthday next week.
Shopping list written for local shopping tomorrow.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

@Florenceem - I hope they are giving him major doses of antibiotics. It still sounds like septic shock. Sorry, that is why I called the paramedics for my roommate as she was falling asleep even while talking to me. I hope they can get things under control. My mother died from dementia from not drinking enough water. The doctor said it caused her brain to shrink. The only thing she said the last two months of her life was when the nurse asked me if she had dementia. She opened her eyes and said"I do not have dementia". The doctor put that on her death certificate anyway. She is probably coming back occasionally to haunt him for that.21

The mass kitchen item declutter didn't yield as much as I'd originally thought, and only got the stuff out of the house today, bringing my total to 987. Dropped off to a local charity that helps families fleeing DV to set up new homes, so hopefully it does some good.
Hoping to break the 1000 mark over the weekend by firing up my shredder and killing off a lot of paperwork, but that will very much depend on DD who is very snotty and thus not a happy little person currently.
Realised whilst unpacking the bathroom stuff this evening we have a lot of half used things, so setting myself a challenge to use those up between now and the move to new house to further reduce the stuff.
Off to bed with a cup of tea now, busy weekend planned so hopefully not too cold2025 in 2025- 2027/2025

I was keeping up with the train, running alongside it,, but it sped off. About 7 pages behind it now.
Will hopefully catch a flight and rejoin it soon!
Thanks for all the cheerleading Mrs SD. Yes my son seems good at decluttering. I rescued a personalised jigsaw he'd received from grandparents for Christmas from the charity shop bag he'd put it in. He saw it, and put it back in the CS bag! It's.too small. He's right!
Hugs to those that need or want them

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I compounded the ‘minor hiccup’ - I moved the cottage pie into the heated oven & then for some inexplicable reason turned the oven off 😣 Twenty minutes later went to check, realised what I had done & tried again. We ended up having dinner an hour later than originally intended 😞 Wudupa
58 - 59 Kitchen recycling, drinks can - recycled
60 Kitchen detritus binned

WickedLady4, pleased to see DH is doing his bit to help you with the decluttering 👏
kiss_me_now9, an excellent way to store bedding 👏
vulpix, because I am a ‘bit’ (using the word very loosely), I am wondering if the snow from Tuesday’s snowstorm has all gone but will find out as I catch up 😅 Great decluttering 👏 Good luck with the wardrobe declutter 🍀 I really, really need to do mine & DH’s of course 😉
Wednesday2000, you might have got up early on Tuesday by mistake but you got a lot done 👏 Nothing wrong with looking forward to a kitchen cupboard sort out 😊 Don’t forget to take before & after photos 😉 This “….. I was putting that off too so I am glad that is out the way. I don't know why I put things off as they aren't that bad once you get around to doing them!” had me nodding my head furiously in agreement 🙂↕️ Presumably procrastination is why tadpoles turn into frogs 😉
MadamMim2013, unfortunately I missed the raspberry & blackberry jelly 😕 I will be quicker off the mark next time 😉 A very busy Tuesday decluttering indoors & outdoors & a bit of money earned 👏
Oh Florenceem, reading Tuesday afternoon’s post was so heartbreaking 😢 I just want to give you a huge cwtch 🤗
BlueJ94, ‘electric lunch box’ I had no idea such a thing existed - I lead such a sheltered life 😂
What a lovely, lovely post daisy_1571 ☺️ Thank you for sharing such wonderful memories 🥹 As to the “HUGE LONG LASTING frog” I can hardly wait 😝 Whilst you are proof reading, perhaps you can be giving a thought to who would play the lead characters 😉
Great decluttering vulpix 👏 Good luck selling the sparkly tops 🍀
Breaking off from replying to individual posts, I would just like to thank you all for your kind thoughts & comments for Florenceem 🥹 Plus ask Florenceem to please, please try & get some rest 🙏
Excellent decluttering Muddy_Walker 👏
Hope you enjoyed Wednesday’s visit to the gym BlueJ94 🤞

@Florenceem - I hope everything improves for Mr F now that his infection is being treated, however, I appreciate that there are also other things going on too. Having worked on an elderly care admission ward many years ago I have felt very frustrated at how you have had to struggle on without a full assessment. You could easily have had a very serious fall yourself whilst trying to help Mr F, as indeed he could have too. It is only that you are so organised and sensible that saved this being the case. I hope that you can recuperate while he is in hospital and get some much needed rest.I got my herbs and spices all sorted out on Thursday; I hadn’t been ruthless enough on the previous occasion. I still can’t believe that I use so many different ones though. One of the effects of enjoying cooking from all parts of the world. Yesterday, the recycling all went out for collection. I started some sewing as I have been having withdrawal symptoms, not having done any since before Christmas. I had messed up sewing a vest top so I decided to make two pairs of knickers from the vest instead, thereby decluttering a failed project.Wishing you all a good weekend 😊13

Morning all.
I went to bed at 8 - couldn't get off to sleep at first. I got up to the bathroom at 1 and woke at 5 but fell asleep again. I got up at 7.45. Not sure how I feel yet. I am normally alert as soon as I swing my legs out of bed but struggling this morning.
Hard frost here - thermostat said 14 when I came down to put on the heating.
I am not going to Church tomorrow - I will watch online. My close friend at SA is preaching at another corps so wouldn't be there to support me.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
