retiredinfrance - thank you. I feel relieved that he is getting care - in a bed/trolley and right opposite a nurse's station.
I treated myself to fish and chips - too tired to cook.
My SA friend just phoned - one of our Church family has died suddenly today - age 70. Another member tried CPR but he was gone.
My youngest daughter is taking me to the hospital tomorrow afternoon. I will not stay long as it is distressing.
I asked my middle daughter to pick me up a couple of bits of shopping - she goes past an Ald. on her way home. Along with my requested bits, she had treated me to smoked salmon, mango chunks and a bag of liquorice allsorts and wouldn't take money for the shopping.
My SA friend's husband wants to take me to the hospital on Sunday.

Evening all,
Not so much of a declutter but more of a put away session this evening, we've got my sister and mam coming over tomorrow for home made lasagna
Just popped to morrisons picked up bits to make food for tomorrow, got myself some bargain cheese at 30p a block!
I plan on popping to post office to pick up two Vinted items then getting home cleaning and putting away and then having a nice soak in the bath along with painting my paint by numbers afterwards! I've only got this far..

Sending hugs and strength Florenceem I’m glad they are looking for medical things first
it seems very strange that dementia has come so suddenly ,please make sure they are aware that a month ago he was still out and about .
it may be significant that his infection markers are high
Please look after yourself and let the SA help ,you ( and Mr F ) do so much for them .18 -
Suffolksue - my friend and I were chatting - we think the mental breakdown in March 2023 was the start of Mr F's mental decline.
Yes Mr F went out on his own not long ago but was taking longer and longer and I had to go searching for him or he didn't know why he had been so long.
I think I have been putting a lot of strange behaviour on the Autism peg.
I have been directing and leading Mr F for quite a while now.
I would love to be wrong and have the real Mr F back.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
15:15 DH ventured out as he received a text to say that his meds were ready for pick up. Out for about 10 minutes & was frozen when he got back 🥶 I am now starting the cheerleading for posts dated 7th 🙂 My small stash of birthday cards yielded enough cards for January’s birthdays, so these have been written & addressed. Prepped tonight’s dinner - cottage pie - just needs to be cooked in oven. Wrote & addressed a Get Well Soon card for DB’s FIL. Back to cheerleading for posts dated the 7th
TC77, a very kind offer but DH is happy when I’m happy & DSis just doesn’t understand 😉 Excellent decluttering & well done also to DD2 👏 Although I imagine it will be you moving items to their final destination 😉 Good work moving along another frog 👏
Lovely post LittleMissDetermined 🥹 Thank you for sharing your experiences of bereavement counselling 👏 Apologies for the lateness of wishing you a great holiday 😔
Liverpool_Anne, lovely chatty post 😊 So kind of you to be the ‘information point’ re today’s funeral relieving your friend of extra stress that she really doesn’t need at such a sad time 🥺 Great work dealing with digital clutter 👏 & good luck with the rest of it 🍀 I am sending a message (on a loop) to your OH - through the ether “You WILL clear the hall & reload your car, You WILL clear the hall & reload your car” 😉 I am ever hopeful 🤣
Excellent decluttering (amid the chaos of major renovations) GrannyKate 👏 Roofers & electricians - not sure I would cope with just one set of workers 😉 & getting replacement windows 😥 Remember how ‘inquisitive’ I am 😉 I was just wondering if you will be doing the decorating yourself or getting someone in?
Duchess2, such beautiful sentiments 🥹
Wednesday2000, thank you for the photos 👏 I have cupboard & fridge envy 😅 I think I will have to start planning for a major rearrangement of kitchen cupboards contents 😱
Minor hiccup (in the scheme of things) - I turned the wrong oven on to cook the cottage pie 😢 Oh well dinner will just be later than intended ☹️ At least the good news is that I have reached the end of another page 😉 See you later 👋

Felt much better today although still fuzzy headed. Managed to make another batch of soup so freezer is nearly full now and some quick and easy admin tasks done.
Tomorrow’s outing has been cancelled - we could have gone on our own however I am glad of the extra time to fully recover and get a few things done before next week. Also the meal plan went to pot over the last couple of days so have plenty of veg to be eaten over the weekend.
Mrs SD, I still haven’t tidied the bedroom and I am desperate to sort out the cupboard under the sink as well.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅17 -
Evening all. My thoughts and prayers are with you @Florenceem.
Mrs SD - the roofers were supposed to be finished before the electricians started - instead they ended up falling over each other although I did add a few jobs for roofers. Electricians finished today and I have to say they have done an excellent job with some difficult challenges along the way. I have lovely outside lighting, both brick sheds have power and light as does the garage. A little tinkering will be needed when the kitchen is refitted eventually. I did do some decorating for the first time in many years in my previous house. I was quite pleased with my efforts but think this place needs more skilled work - some walls may need skimming etc and I would like to replace skirtings and doors. I am happy to strip wallpaper which is so old and coated in layers of paint that it breaks up in pieces as though it was plastic. The bungalow is 60 years old and I think many issues may come to light under the wallpaper. DD and Sil coming tomorrow and will help me clean up and sort. A lot of things are too heavy for me to move back. I can changes bedcovers and wash all the throws and gradually wipe down dust. Hopefully a few things like Christmas decorations can go in the loft now. I can then clear the decks in the main bedroom ready for trades and decorating. I plan to carpet the bedrooms and inner hall but will have wood/laminates in main hall, lounge and kitchen diner.
This is definitely going to be a marathon not a sprint. I am looking forward to the softer side of decorating - deciding on pictures and throws etc - but a long way off.
82 Chased audiology appointment - I should hear in next fortnight
83 Took DS2's car for MOT which it passed but nail in a tyre meant a repair on the way home before it goes down
84 Four light fittings taken away by electrician
85 Several bins and boxes of old plugs, switches, sockets, screws and rubbish taken by electrician
86 Electrician's tools, of which there were many, all over the house have now left
87 Contacted tradespeople about loft ladder and garage door.
I collected children from school and had tea with DS2, DIL and children and then came home to a hot shower. Decluttered dust from myself particularly my hair which felt a bit matted. I plan to have a lie in tomorrow as no need to get dressed for workmen arriving at 8. DD not arriving here until the afternoon. I may go to CS as there are some things rattling around in back of car.
A successful but very tiring week. Hugs to all who need them.2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟
