@Green_hopeful - sending you and DH hugs. Anything with eye sight is scary. We will be waiting for the good news on Monday.
@vulpix - sending you hugs also. Your solicitor may need to light a fire under her to get her moving along. Good luck. Sounds like she needs a swift kick.9 -
Thank you, kind people. We are in an online Estate Agency sandwich. Both our buyer and our seller are using the same company. False economy, you get what you pay for. No news. We will sell our house whatever.
Had a lovely afternoon with my friend, came home with cooking apples from her tree.
My smart watch says there was not enough information to record how much I slept last night ! Hoping for sleep tonight.

Hi all, slow decluttering day today. I went to the wellbeing thing and although it was advertised as check your bp etc I didn't see anything like that but I did find a couple of interesting things, one being the fact that there are tai chi classes in my local church hall and I never knew! I have been looking around for some for a while, they used to do them in the sports centre but they went during covid and never came back. I will have a mooch down there next week to see whats what. I did manage to book my flu jab for 9.10 on sat 4th October. 9.10 ! whatever possessed me 😂. However I couldn't book my shingles jab yet as it is a couple of weeks until my birthday and heaven forbid you get organised and book it, after all you might not live that long then the appointment will be wasted 😂. I did 1 session of ironing and the bedroom recycling was emptied apart from that all I did was some crochet 😁.
@Vulpix omg it's unbelievable isn't it? Do you know why the seller can't move? If she just needs help with her packing I volunteer to come and help her. Would it be worth visiting her or phoning her to have the conversation to find out what the problem is? Big hugs
Tomorrow I am going up to Lytham to meet up with a friend I met at college over 50 years ago. She lives down on the South coast now but has family in Lytham and is up for the weekend so grabbing the chance for a catch up 😁 so probably not much decluttering will be done 😁
Right time for bed
Hugs to everyone who would like one
1276 flu jab booked
1277 bedroom recycling
1278 ironing
Take care everyone

BlueJ94 said:Regarding the Credit card I posted yesterday with the 0% offer, I've just checked both my Credit cards and they've both gor 37.7% APR! Now advice is needed, my one Credit card has a balance of £1210 and the other is £796. Which am I better paying off first? I'll be closing or freezing both accounts once paid!@ BlueJ94 - You could apply for the new 0% interest CC and hopefully it runs for 12+ months with the 0% offer (transfer % amount?) and then providing on the amount you are applying for; about £2k you could transfer/consolidate both outstanding credit card amounts; with the present 37.7% interest to the new card, so you're paying 0% interest each month on the whole lot. personally, I'd be doing something like that and making extra payments too of 37.7% each month; if you can afford that much, as that's what you're paying in interest anyway
You'll soon have the debt cleared but have some leeway, if really needed.

Morning all. Plasterer and joiner not able to come today due to illness. Just hope they come Monday.
Trying to decide what to do without spending any money - a couple of annoying frogs I will have another go at in a bit. Sox has been strutting round loudly miaowing but not sure why - no sign of any 'offerings' in house or garden. My previous cat usually did this to tell me I had a present on the door mat - dead or alive. He's basking in the sunshine on a windowsill now. DS2 is away for the weekend so I will have time to myself.
858/9 Two lots of plastic to SM recycling
860 Carpet to the tip - plasterer kindly cut and rolled it into 3 taped bundles so easy to get in car and in skip.
861 Quick clean, tidy, bin empty of bathroom and toilet.
862 Some stuff put away in my bedroom - nothing out now except the bed stuff on top of wardrobe waiting to go in bedroom 2 when finished
Right I need to get motivated. I need to cut back the mass of tomatoes in greenhouse but garden is very wet after yesterday's thunderstorms. It is 2 months since I downloaded photos so that is one job I could do today.2025 Decluttering Campaign 862/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Good morning chums well what a rainy week its been ,but excellent for digging out stuff to declutter.I now have another boxful for the CS of odds and ends that I know I will never have need for.
its been a busy week with a nice coffee morning at Norton Grange inYarmouth (U3A) in the morning then home for lunch and in the afternoon a Games afternoon in Newport another U3A fixture. Spent a couple of hours playing crib with a nice gentleman I've not play it for years so it was good to catch up
Tuesday was spent decluttering indoors the bottom of my three wardrobes now look a darn sight neater and some bits have gone into the CS box
Wednesday morning was Knit and Natter in Ryde and I was gifted a lovely King sized duvet cover and pillow cases from one of the ladies there who is also decluttering
I know my youngest DGD Holly is desperate for extra bed linen, and she has a king sized bed so I have found a home for it.
She is really pleased and it will be going to the mainland at the end of the month as my DGS Jack is picking up his brother to go back to Uni in Essex, so he will drop it off at Hollys for me in Kent
Yesterday I went to the U3A monthly meeting which was interesting as the speaker was a retired Dr who was talking about a victorian Dr Hassall on the IoW and his work raising awareness of public health.
The meeting was held in a church hall and when I got there a bit earlier there was a lady picking up some of the large pile of windfall apples (its been very breezy the last few days) from the courtyard.
Being, as my DDs call me Frau Frugal, I'm not one to let stuff go to waste I too picked up about 10 of them and this morning I will be peeling, slicing them and decluttering them into an apple crumble for dinner tonight.
I'm sure the Almighty won't mind me using his apples as they would only rot on the groundWaste not want not
Tonight DD and I are off to a quiz night at Osbourne House so fingers crossed we do well
All in all a pretty busy week but very enjoyable Tomorrow I shall pop to Bembrisge with my box of bits as there is an Earl Mountbatten hospice charity shop there so my box of odds and ends will go there Then a nice walk along the beach if its not too blowy and a hot chocolate in the cafe.
I hope everyone is all well and surviving the wet and windy weather. I'm just about to do the apples for the crumble now and also make a big pot of leek and potato soup as the autumn weather is settling in and when we walk the dogs a flask of hot soup warms us up on our walk
Cheers chums

Decluttered a couple of items from the fridge that were past their best, some coffee and then used it as an opportunity to sort out the cupboard.September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x3 -
You have settled into Island life Jackie, you are so busy. Great stuff.
Liverpool Anne, I don't want to publicly disgrace our seller, lets just say she has more stuff than the average person. She doesn't work and has grown up children who I presume could help. She hasn't moved for 40 years and I assume it is all just lack of organisation skills and niavety. She did ask if once she moves could we hang on for a few days whilst she cleans!
I slept last night and feel calm today. The calm before the storm? Mr V is currently moving garden pots from round the back to the front, ready for moving somewhere, anywhere? I had better join him and show willing.
