We did a sort of winter coats a few weeks ago and I found a work coat in a fetching day glow orange. It’s so bright it’s like you have left the light on. I couldn’t imagine ever wearing it so i asked one of my old work colleagues if she wanted it. She seemed really pleased. It will be warm when she goes on site visits. I also had three bottles of fabric softener that we had bought and were not going to use. She took those as well. Four things out in total. My poor husband has detached his retina again. He has had it happen twice before. This time it’s the other eye. He is not looking forward to the operation and healing process. Lots of time to get better. Last time it was a year before it was fully resolved. Hopefully we will find out when they will operate today.Shockingly when he went into Specsavers yesterday to see if someone could take a look they said the first appointment they had was Saturday! He said i am pretty sure it’s detached, it’s happened twice before, and I will be blind by Saturday, they couldn’t see him. Anyways Scrivens saw him straight away and spent an hour getting him a same day appointment at the hospital. We are going to raise it with Specsavers because someone else might be less persistent and lose their sight.11

Hi all, reasonable day yesterday. Car load of wood to the tip and an old paste table squashed into the front seat. I am never wallpapering again since I've had the whole house replastered so I can just paint the walls. I did get wet in the rain but I soon dried out when I got home 😁. When I got home I decided it was time to tackle the ironing pile. As I really don't like ironing I do timed sessions and take breaks at the end of each session so I can kid myself it's only half an hour and I can stop then if I want to 😂. Managed to do 4 sessions through the afternoon and evening which has made a good dint in the pile and I will try to get more done today 😁. Inbetween times I did some crochet 😁 and made a big pan of parsnip soup from some frozen parsnips that OH doesn't like 😁.
@Mrs SD I meant to say I watched the sewing bee and was also happy about who remained for the final though I understand there is some social media chatter from people who are upset about the result 😁.
@StickyTheStickInsect good luck to your DD with the 11+.
@Green_hopeful hope your DH is sorted out quickly, hugs.
Today I have been invited to a wellbeing thing by my doctor and as it is currently sunny but forecast for rain I think I will pop along, no appointment needed just drop in and while I am there make an appointment for my flu jab, reminder landed in my phone yeterday, and finally I am nearly old enough for my shingles jab so will look at getting that booked. That is as far as my plans have got for today 😂.
Right time to get weaving
Hugs to everyone who would like one

5 hours! 5 hours between us signing the document concerning our sale and getting a string of messages from our seller saying she can't be ready until the end of October. For 5 hours I was optimistic. We are now considering pulling out of the purchase and taking the financial hit. Our solicitor has sent a strongly worded email to her solicitor saying we need a moving date within the next 24 hours. Of course I haven't slept. I am due to go to see my oldest friend of 55 years this afternoon, we always have a laugh so no pressure J, you need your A game today.

Sorry to hear about this vulpix, its a strange part of the English system to have all this toing and froing about entry dates. Must be very stressful indeed. Hope you have a great time with your pal this afternoon

Vulpix - I would continue with the sale but leave various shell fish items in inaccessible places throughout the house..4

Thank you for the kind words about my husband. Our local hospital has decided it can wait until Monday for the operation to repair the damage to his retina. We are a bit nervous because of his history and having been blind in the other eye for a year while waiting for follow up operations I don’t think he wants to lose his sight in the other eye.I was worried about the wait so i rang Moorfields helpline and the loveliest nurse rang me back. She said she thought that if its a tear it can wait until Monday but that she would refer us to the virtual consultation service to speak to a dr. While waiting for the appointment the hold music is bird song. How soothing to hear bird song and not rubbish annoying music. Anyway A&E wouldn’t see us because we don’t live in London. But the nurse just rang back to say she had spoken to a dr and they had confirmed her advice that Monday should be fine and it might even be laser surgery and not the normal scary keyhole surgery he has had twice before. What a lovely person to ring back to reassure me.In the meantime I have been sanding our window frames to try to get them painted before winter. A vastly over rated pass time. I can’t wait until it’s done.4
