- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I will finish off Monday by saying that although it wasn’t the best weather, neither of us got damp even with the on again off again drizzle & the wind wasn’t quite as strong as it has been. Now I will do a little more cheerleading before going to bed 😉
Soontobeoap, I imagine 3 hours stripping woodchip wallpaper felt more like 13 hours 😥 Well done on making a start 👏 What a lovely way to spend the evening - sorting family photos 🥹 Congratulations on getting 11 extra bags out on top of your target with another week left in June 🥳 If you keep going at that rate you will have doubled your decluttering well before Christmas 🤩
Pennypincin, sorry to hear the weight loss has stalled & gone into reverse 😞 However, do remember that you know you can do it & that this is just a little blip 🥹
Muddy_Walker, pleased to hear that you are finally on the mend 😮💨 This cold & cough seem to have lasted forever. Also very pleased to hear that your hubby has been looking after you so well 🥹 May I have your permission to give him a big cwtch 🤗 & a glass of his favourite tipple 🙏 What ‘lovely’ gifts from Rogan & Pepper 😉 Loving hearing the stories about cats 🥹 what is that saying 🤔 something like a dog has an owner but a cat has staff 🤭
TC77, hopefully DD2 will spend a little time decluttering the current contents of her room before filling it up with her uni possessions 🤞If I remember correctly DD2 is heading to Australia soon. Hopefully it will be possible to visit her whilst she is there 🙏
Dizzycap, glad that you are enjoying the holiday pictures & that they are bringing back wonderful memories 🥹 I have to say, I am rather pleased to have missed the heatwave - it sounds horrendous 😱 More excellent decluttering 👏 Wishing you luck in both Mission ‘Collect Cardboard Boxes from MrS’ & also Mission ‘Listing’ 🍀 Sounds like Babyface & the fox cubs are all doing really 😊 Now I am just wondering if the swans have moved on 🤔 or if you get to keep feeding them 😉
TC77, hopefully the more you declutter the longer the small areas of calm & order will remain so 🤞 Thank you for the reminder about the ‘hug cupboard’& the TLC Carriage 👏 although I would remind you to visit both a little more frequently 😊
Another page caught up so I will love you & leave you. Sleep tight 😴

Good morning good people,
Mrs S_D your meals and your trip away both sound fabulous.
Soontobeoap I have an intense dislike of woodchip wallpaper. My sister and I had it on our bedroom walls when we were young and we were regularly told off for picking the woodchips out 😄
My sister, brother inlaw and great niece arrived safely yesterday but I haven’t seen them yet. We’re having a family outing today which ds is really looking forward to as most of the time it’s just the two of us.
After the great clear out only 5 things were decluttered yesterday as we did grocery shopping then I put a wash on (and dried it) followed by ironing. Lots of ironing.

Helloooooooooo!
Bit of a medical setback yesterday……my eyes started getting all gungy and I thought uhoh this feels familiar…….so using the medical app (go me) actually managed to get an appointment…..turns out I didn’t just have a cold I have laryngitis and conjunctivitis 😥 so am on some incredibly strong antibiotics and eye drops…….never had these antibiotics before and within minutes was upstairs in the bathroom being violently ill with a very concerned Rogan by my side, Pepper not far behind and then a confused husband! The blurb did say this could happen as you double up on the first dose.Needless to say am a wee bit fragile today! But it’s all doing what it’s supposed to do.
MrsSD of course you can give hubby a cwtches! He rarely drinks but does like a non alcoholic IPA 😊
Your holiday pics are fab!
Lovely to hear from you Dizzycap xx⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

@Muddy_Walker - I hope you will soon be feeling better once the antibiotics kick in. That was a very rough side effect to have to deal with though!
Mrs SD I am loving vicariously taking part in the round Britain Rally although I do end up feeling very hungry reading your posts 😋
Sharing the frustration with MSE site. Verifying I am human, freezing buttons and having to refresh pages, meaning that I lose the comment I am writing. It’s tortuous! I can only assume they are having some serious trouble somewhere.12 -
getting onto the ceiling today and another bin bag filling up nicely. Unfortunately I had a singing engagement so DH working alone. I will do my bit this afternoon! It's slow going and working around cupboards and furniture whilst still using the room in the evenings is very hard. Still if a thing is worth doing its worth doing properly.

I declutterred my bread maker today! A friend was helping me photograph some things for FB marketplace and asked how much I wanted for it. I said she could have it as I just wanted it out of the house 😀

YBR said:So back to some packing after work today, and I've filled the last book-sized boxes - I'll have to hunt for some more from the bookshop and supermarket tomorrow as people round here don't seem to offer them on freecycle/trash nothing/Fb!I think for tomorrow I will target some pressure washing and decluttering the Pantry as there are some dark corners that need investigating.Unusually, what I have achieved vaguely matches the plan!Boxes obtained, pantry tidied within an inch of its life, pressure washing done except the last but at the bottom of the garden - it needs to dry so I can sweep it before completing the job.In the pantry I found a whole box of random keys, padlocks and keyrings, I'm convinced some came here with us 11 years ago and haven't been seen or needed since! Mostly I've managed to pair them to their locks and toss the rest now!Decluttering awards 2025: 🏅🏅⭐️ and one for mum 🏅14

Gardener decluttered.
He and his assistant did a fine job of tidying the garden, had a cuppa and then have said goodbye as he's changing his business to do just commercial flats. I've wished them both well but said should they decide to go back to doing private gardens to let me know. And he has said that should I find I need a big tidy once every 6 months or similar he'd be happy to help out. And he's recommended someone he used to work with who has just set up their own business this summer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. @Muddy_Walker gosh you are going through it, hope tye antibiotics kick in quickly
Mrs SD, loving the pictures and following your adventures . And you know exactly what to say to keep me/ us going. Very kind words.
Home from work and dd2 has friends round and one staying so clearing the spare room bed ( and a corridor of the floor). Every drawer and space full so playing tetrus.
Going to.my dad's in advance if dd2 going with a friend at the weekend. Won't be bringing anything back hopefully.
Going to set a target of 50 items for the weekend again but hoping dd2 will have done much of this ,although 50 of.my things needed.14
