Today also feels like noticeable progress - I've kept only 2 of the loft boxes, and packed 3 more boxes of books into the emptied loft boxes, of which I've decluttered about 10% in the process (a couple need to go back to their original owners). The house is also considerably more tidy as we had a few chaps from removals companies quoting today, which also motivated me! Meanwhile several of the items we won't be moving with have been labelled as such, and I've realised I probably don't want to take any plastic plant pots with me so relocating them into the Yard sale heap. That's in a week's time. And the Assignment Frog is nearly cooked, just waiting for the proof-reader's attention. Next frogs are an online induction to volunteer at a Music Festival, and gathering the documents to do a Tax return.Decluttering awards 2025: 🏅🏅⭐️ ⭐️, DH: ⭐️ and one for Mum: 🏅11

Happy me. Decluttered a box of ood meds, cleared a bag of clean laundry to its proper place and decluttered the kitchen junk drawer. Hope to do more over the weekend.
Have a great weekend all xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

@TC77 - One option for buttons and other sewing items would be to check with the local schools that have sewing classes. Around here, we always have students who can't afford all of the supplies need for the classes, so having supplies they can give the students really makes the teachers happy (otherwise they sometimes pay for the supplies themselves or the student has to miss the assignment).11

Sorting buttons into colours and have cardboard and plastic to go and some designer buttons I don't want so unsure if go to cs or if they can't deal with such small things.

No decluttering done today just time 🙂 the last few years my sister and I rather than buying Christmas gifts find a crafting lesson to do together, usually just a half day. Today's was glass fusion lesson, so once it has been kilned a couple of times i will be bringing it home. This is the four one and we haven't taken any further than the one lesson, and although I enjoyed today's I have no intention in buying a kiln to take it up 😁 she only does two to a session and we enjoy the quality time spent togetherLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin10 -
Hi all, reasonable day today. The weather held so 2 LDFPA, 2 sessions on the bamboo but it is such slow going it's going to take me ages to get it all out, and the kitchen bin emptied. Went to the sm and all put away as soon as I got home.
I am having an early night as I need to be up and at em early tomorrow 😁.
Hugs to everyone who would like one

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Friday continued: Different dinners for each of us: chicken & chips for DSis, lo creamy bacon & pea linguine for DH & omelette for me (as I missed out last week 😉) I had bacon, cheese, mushrooms & peppers as my omelette filling 🤤 Wudupa. P.S. DH advised me that on this day 3 years ago we were in an helicopter flying over the Grand Canyon 😁

Lost my early morning post, woken by big cat wanting to go out. Then saw DD2 message they had been burgled in the night. Student shared house, her and another in house but luckily had their bedroom doors locked but others who were at a party had laptops and valuables taken with their work to be handed in
Fortunately, no-one hurt and police went round and sent forensics . She had her bike taken a few weeks ago.
@florianatwobob thank you for details for pens. DD2 has a massive clear out when last here and we but have a bank of things for school children so take files/folders and pens.
@Floss thank you .. inspired to have another go through clothes, dress, shorts and jumper added to CS and some will go in textile bag.
@weenancyinAmerica thank you for the ideas... I'm not sure if any sewing goes on in our schools! however, we have a community group that runs sewing classes and friends I'll ask who work in schools. Amazed how different buttons are, think found some the same but they're different depths etc. Will check with CS when I drop other things today.
Not gone for a walk/hike as a fair weather walker so using time to tidy and putting a box for things my cousin to consider taking - a book and some leather gloves I bought for her a couple of years ago but for some reason never got there so far. Doing the same for DB.
Will update later.
Remember the tlc carriage and hug cupboard.

I popped to SA yesterday morning to get instructions for while C is away on holiday.
Before we went out in the afternoon - I checked for our bus passes in my bag and they were missing. We must have left them on a bus Thursday afternoon.
We got a bus to the Doctor's surgery - nice driver waved us on when I explained why we didn't have our passes.
Mr F was seen by a member of the Fraility team - an Occupational Therapist - B - we know her parents. B spoke to Mr F about filling in a ReSPECT form.
We got another bus to the bus garage - went to the office - not been handed in. All 3 bus drivers let us on the bus without passes.
This morning I popped to SA on my way to the bus stop. I went back to the lost property office at the bus garage but not there. I think someone thought that there was a debit card in the holder so took it.
When I got home I have applied for replacement bus passes. In the holder was my bus pass, oyster card, rail card ( Out of date ) and a nectar card. Mr F's bus pass was tucked inside as well so it will cost us £20 for new ones.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Yippee all caught up 🥳 Just leaves me to say that I hope everyone has a great bank holiday weekend - whatever you are doing & to advise that the TLC Carriage is fully stocked & that ‘Hugs Cupboard’ is also full 🥹 Also a quick shout out to members of our Declutterati family whom we haven’t seen for a while - dND, QueenJess & London_1 come to mind - hoping that everything is OK & that RL is just keeping you too busy to pop in 🙏
Hello - I am still here in the background, but just having a horrible time at work. I am now completely exhausted and firmly recuperating in the tlc carriage. I should be back soon and I have still been adding up my decluttering (or mostly recluttering)!I've left a cranberry cake and some milk chocolate chip cookies to share in the tlc carriage.2025 decluttering: 3,452🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

I started on daughter's voile curtains today - now I know why I have been reluctant to do them - slip all over the place.
When I came to measure out the clear heading tape - too short - the woman only sold us enough for the folded voile width. So I have folded the fabric in half and stitched the heading tape onto them. Now I see that I have 1 tape upside down and two inside out. As it is clear - almost plastic tape - a creative opportunity arises - I just snip the appropriate places in the tape for the hooks to go.
I just have the hems to do now.
Then I have to crochet tie backs and make pom poms.
I will be glad to hand over the finished curtains.
We are on duty to receive M & S food at SA tonight.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
