I'd definitely take new rolls of wrapping paper into a charity shop. I'm sure they would be welcomed.19

Very unheard of but I was up at 7 this morning and am still up!!!!!!!! (I do love my bed)
Didnt sleep that well as I was all scratchy and hot so rather than sleep too much all day decided to Do Some of the Things 🤣
So I have:
done 2 lots of washing
threw some more snowballs at the dogs
done my banking
set up my 1p challenge but rather then do pennies every day which will do my nut in, will do a monthly amount instead.
ordered some bits I needed
ordered hubby’s birthday present - it’s Thursday. He loves my fluffy dressing gown so I got him one.
ordered medical delivery
updated calendar with jab dates - sadly one falls on a weekend we were hoping to go away…..it was camping though so perhaps that’s a good thing?
I have more to do yet but am having a quick break.
Back later!

Foofoopuppy, sorry to hear that your parents were flooded.
Grannykate, so sorry to read of the loss of the twins - gentle hugs to your family.
Florenceem, hope you can get support for you and Mr F quickly and find out what is wrong.
Final Christmas presents exchanged with friends yesterday - we received edibles so will add those into the meal plans as lots of new things to try. Will be good to have variety around the using up ingredients. Yesterday’s meals did well on the using up.
Had a visit from Mr Overwhelm last night which stopped me from sleeping - most unhelpful as I need to sleep well to be on top form to get on with what is causing the overwhelm. Plan for today is to make a plan for the coming week.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅22 -
Moorviews certain plants I cannot grow for love nor money like succulents- they are supposed to be easy but are the fussiest little beggars going! And orchids - I don’t actually like them either so if I get any I give them to my mum.
I can however grow Christmas cactuses (and Easter and thanksgiving cacti). After mine bloomed last year I gave them all a chop and a good drink of tea and now ignore them 😊
I think the only tip I can give really is make sure there’s an airflow round and through any plant, water once a week but don’t drown them, they like a cup of tea or banana peel water now and then and rinse the leaves off every now and then when they get dusty. I do that by sticking them outside in the rain.
A lot of compost is peat free now but the quality is dreadful so I tend to mix it up with gravel and a little bit of topsoil. Works for me!⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

Hey everyone! It's been months. I got logged out and then getting back in was a hassle so I haven't bothered until now.
I DID achieve 2024 in 2024. I also got my new kitchen and bathroom sorted, and they remain havens. Still loads to clear, and my office needs a definite rejuvenation.
The cellar project is also ongoing. It was totally clear but we have been keeping tip trip items down there, which need to go when my husband has sorted out the car and some time. Trouble is, he has loads of time, but anxiety gets in his head and he ends up vegetating and feeling guilty about it. Then saying he has no time!
But, 2025... Let's do this!Keep reading books!

morning,
Mrs SD and @Brie thank you as I missed the suggestion for the drawers. I had thought of bicarb but have run out but love the idea of using tissue paper to put it on. I do line drawers - using up vintage wall paper. Will order a large tub as I ran out last year but half way through a 5 litre bottle of white vinegar!
Cutlery drawer has been taken out of CS bag and in a desk drawer as can't find anything there. but emptied bedroom bin and small bits in there so won't change nos for now.
Any thoughts on what to do with xmas cards - do charity take or a group for crafting - or just recyling?
Also have some xmas wreaths and don't know if CS would appreciate - as some people will buy up xmas stuff still for their next year as they have boxes still out.... did a cull in late nov/early dec so could be sold for this year but rather not keep bulky things I don't want but don't want to give cs things they can't use!20 -

Granny Kate, that’s desperately sad news for your great nephew and his wife. What a lovely idea to adopt a cat. You will be good companions. 😻
Florenceem, as everyone has said,do try to preserve your energy and ask for help from the SA. xx
EcoIntent, my local church wanted Christmas paper as they use it to wrap Christmas gifts for people, but I am sure your paper will be asked for when everyone finally gets back in a routine next week.
I was going to knock spots off today and wash the sofa cushion covers and throws and have a good hoover down the sides of the sofas. DD1 is now coming and bringing ingredients and will be cooking dinner, yess! We will have a ponder about the picture wall in the spare room whilst she is here. She is going to visit my Mum, who is 91 tomorrow.
We have a fair bit of snow. It is snowing just now. DD1 is driving the long way round to avoid snow tourists. My intention is to give DD1 some food ingredients from my cupboard. She does so much more cooking than me. I don't want them to sit there till they go out of date. I am full of good intentions when I see things in the shops but in reality we have a small repetoire of meals we will both eat. Tbh, I am bored of cooking these days. I have always made everything from scratch. I still enjoy catering for a gathering though. I don't keep a big stock of food in the house. That stems from when I was very poor and didn't have the money for a stock. I turned it round to think the shops can keep stuff for me until I need it.
I am ignoring the neck of the adult jumper I have knitted and am half way through knitting a baby jumper with the remaining yarn.
Happy de cluttering. Vx:22 -
Hi all, slowish decluttering day yesterday, sorted some of the fridge and 4 things had to be binned which was annoying but they were all either hidden at the back or under something. I finally finished the pink baby blanket
so 600g of yarn used. Hopefully it will be posted off tomorrow but I will take a photo before it is wrapped
It was very cold but no snow until after I went to bed. Currently about 2 inches but it is sleeting and the snow is melting. I remembered to top up the bird feeders and am sitting with a cuppa watching the steady coming and going of the blue tits and robin.
So far today I have done nothing except answer text messages and listen to the radio for weather updates to see if the footy is happening, it isso I am going to wrap up warm and get going fairly soon. I don't expect much else to be done today
Right time to get weaving, hugs to anybody who would like one
23 - 26 fridge stuff
27 - 32 600g yarn
Take care everyone
