He can't do anything that requires concentration. When he sits in his chair - meant to be reading but I think he is just staring at the page and then nodding off.

Moving day on the 3rd, so no decluttering then but all set to declutter the old house on January 9th. Should hear if our offer on the new one has been accepted Monday, so fingers crossed for that going through.
Bit achy from all the heavy lifting, so today I have only managed to 'pre-declutter' 86 pieces of paperwork relating to the house I'm selling so once we have completed the sale they will be fed to the shredder and exiting our lives for good.
There's been a bit of a baby boom amongst friends and extended family of late, so plan for tomorrow is to go through the mountain of clothes, toys and baby accessories to see if anything can be gifted on to them, hoping for a good pile of outs from that. Also a tip run to get rid of some of the packing boxes and other odds and ends that were unearthed during the move so will post an updated total tomorrow.
Very inspiring to read about everyone else's wins, I now have slight terrarium envy though! Frosted flowers are beautiful, we have icy sleet here which is less photographic. Off to make myself a hot water bottle and declutter a hot chocolate bomb before bed2025 in 2025- 2027/2025

They had hot water bottles with covers and the covers looked a bit odd so I went to investigate 🔎 there was an extra flap so you could slide your feet in and keep them cosy 😀 it said not to stand up on it but it looked a bit like those 'big slipper' things you used to be able to buy (or maybe you can still)

Thanks Daisy. I've seen them and did think of getting one but decided on the slipper socks because I can walk about in them. I suppose, provided the bottle was on top, I could leave it on my feet and jump everywhere - sort of like a sack race 🤔. Think of all the exercise I'd get. 🤣

@grannykate, sorry to hear about the twins.@Florenceem - it sounds very worrying I hope you are getting time to take care of yourself!@Tjh1412 - good luck for Monday!I think I'm caught up on the threads now. You are all amazing and so busy decluttering that you are putting me to shame! Today I didn't do anything except use up two bottles from the bathroom. We have so many toiletries that if I see any on offer this year, I will close my eyes and walk away! In fact, if it's hand or body cream, I'm not sure I ever need to buy any again and every Christmas I get more, I regifted a few this year.DD2 had an away football match today and by the time I got back, it was late afternoon. I couldn't get myself motivated and was also in quite a bit of pain (recently diagnosed with RA and waiting for the consultant appt in a few weeks) . On the plus side, she started the match as defender and for the last 20 minutes she was moved forward where scored a goal (actually 2 but the cheating linesman said she was offside - it caused quite a lot of drama on the pitch side), she assisted another giving them a 2-1 win! It's only their 4th win so they were all very happy.
She was awarded player of the match mainly for her defending.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my terrarium! Will give it a check tomorrow for moisture levels and apparently I can put the cork lid on it Tuesday! Of course I have spent a few hours on internet looking at ALL the mini ones…..love those…..

@Gsdloopy Good for your DD! Glad she did well despite the linesman. I know exactly what you mean by how reading how much others have done puts you to shame. Me too. But don’t let Mrs SD hear you or she’ll invoke the dreaded… finger waving emoji! 😱 And then you’ll be sorry. 🤣
@Blue94 It’s like that here in NE Scotland. Except a little bit deeper, a lot more ‘packed’ and the snow’s stopped. But apart from that…
So, what have I been up to today? Not a lot really. Or at least, I can see evidence of someone having done stuff, which has to be me.
I puttered about doing various bits and pieces while waiting in for a variety of parcels and a delivery from Sainsb. Amongst other things I brought a pottery teapot with a hinged lid back into use by wiring the lid back on. (Like quite a lot of things round here, it had a screw loose and tea was going everywhere!)
Container (Area?) of the Day was… The kitchen. Yes, all of it! It was a bit of a bombsite, so I decluttered/threw or put away everything that didn’t belong there. Rubbish bagged for binning, recycling also to bags.
I topped up containers (eg cereal), recycled the packaging and did a huge WUDAPA. I also scrubbed the counters, sink and draining board, washed the drainer and put the baking trays and grill racks to soak overnight. And, of course, the shopping delivery was put away after a bit of freezer/fridge Jenga. Plus I bagged a couple of things to take to the food bank and a couple of things in the CS bag. None of which count towards the containers but are still decluttered.
Oh and I’ve already counted the spends on the parcels and the shopping was budgeted so doesn’t count. So a NSD.
Totals – NSDs = 3/15. Containers = 6/365

Quite good progress. Took 2 massive bags to CD. Various things. 1 more to go and another on the go might be next weekend now.
Light dusting of snow here.
