Lots of stuff prepopulated, immediately got email confirmation and online got account details with same username - so no customer duplication. However no COP as yet but I was able to override and make the deposit.
I have application reference number but i'm completely new customer, so no online access yet.

GetRichOrDieSaving said:So if it’s annual interest every August, then August 2026 you will receive interest from period October 2025 - August 2026, but the rest of the interest for your 12 month term towards the back end (when most interest is accrued due to higher balance) will only be paid in August 2027? Approx 10 months after maturity?1

Hanley
I applied online as existing customer. Account opened instantly, email with payment information also arrived immediately. Payment sent, though - as usual- Santander can't do COP until next day, so I had to fall back yo old fashioned checking that I typed my numbers correctly.
Many thanks to the forumite who posted the application link. Much appreciated.0 -

Hanley EBSWhat's the position regarding electronic payments in? Do they have to be from the nominated a/c?The general t's & c's say "If money is to be paid into your account by Electronic Payment, you or the payer sending the payment to you, will need to provide the unique identifier". So, payments in don't have to be from your nominated a/c or even an a/c in your name. However, on the application when you've selected initial payment by electronic transfer, it specifies payment from YOUR a/c.

Thanks for this, account opened. I tried logging into my existing NBS account but the Monument account wasn't an option. A new application using the same details as the existing NBS account has worked and I can now see both accounts listed when I log in.Make £2025 in 2025

Hanley EBS......I applied as a new customer. Found it dead easy, filled the form online, account opened quickly, just got to wait for a used ID in the post. One of the easiest accounts to open. Well pleased.1

mhoc said:Hanley - I had really bad issues getting the verification code but eventually it came through and I've funded.
I got the welcome email with the sort code etc but it does not actually give the Hanley account reference number for me to set up the standing order so I will ring them a bit later - I like to tick all boxes from day one
Please can I ask is there an app or is it just the online webpage?
We were looking forward to a little drive to Stone this morning so thats saved a job0
