You've probably had your letter by now but got mine this morning.ForumUser7 said:Suffolk BS
How does maturity for the online regular savers normally work please? Is there an option to give preferences in advance that mean it is closed and funds sent to the NBA like principality etc.? Thanks
It says that we can choose our options online.
1. Withdraw/close and funds sent to nominated account.
2. Open a new Regular Saver
3. Choose a different type of account.3 -
When my Coop RS matured the other week my new RS account was visible in online banking before I received an email with the account details, I think.allegro120 said:
You could have made 13th payment into Co-op RS, there is no maximum balance for this account.s71hj said:
Thanks. For some reason this was one of the ones I funded on the 15th of every month. I now try to fund all on the 1st as it makes it easier to know the date to have funds in current account for standing orders. Therefore I HAVEN'T funded this month as it transpires anyway!allegro120 said:

So, another question. Bearing in mind I made a payment into the now matured RS on 1st Sept, if I open a new one today will I be able to pay in straight away or will I have to wait until October to pay in as I'll already have paid into a Coop RS this month?flaneurs_lobster said:
Correct....s71hj said:
It's still there but now called a Smart Saver so technically I'd assume that means Inonger have a regular saver?flaneurs_lobster said:
If the old one has gone then yes. Seem to recall it takes a few days to process.s71hj said:Re Coop regular saver, mine has matured today. Can I just crack on today and open a new one?
You can apply today, but it takes a couple days for account to be opened. You can fund it as soon as it is opened. When it is opened it will be a new account, so it doesn't matter what you have paid into your old one.
I've just checked my records, last time it took 4 working days to open Co-op RS.0 -
Yes, It is worth checking online/app instead of waiting for email. I received email 2 days after the account was opened and funded.Dugal said:

First payment was sent on Friday, visible Online sometime on Saturday.allegro120 said:
Was your second payment sent at weekend? Chorley don't credit weekend deposits until the next working day. Deposits made on working day are credited on the same day, but don't show until next day.SH88SH88 said:Recently started a RS with Chorley. First payment was received quite quickly, second was quite slow. Anybody care to share any opinions re Chorley, in particular speed of payment, customer service, any specific foibles etc ? TIA .
Second sent on Saturday, not showing by late morning Tuesday, so ... sent a secure message at lunchtime. Coincidentally or miraculously (not sure which), the payment was visible very soon afterwards. Anyway, all is well that ends well .....0 -
Regarding Monmouthshire BS ``phantom accounts":
Each of my phantom accounts had been ones that had been opened but never funded for whatever reason.
I've done a spot of experimenting and there may be a way of getting rid of the phantom accounts from the app. I simply sent £1 to each of the phantom accounts on Saturday, the £1s bounced back and landed in my current account yesterday.
I've just checked the app and the accounts have now disappeared so I'm just left with the open accounts only showing in the app.
It could also be a complete coincidence but I thought I'd mention it anyhow just in case it works for anyone else.14 -

i'm not wanting to open a second account as I already have 2 of them - caused by my initial application crashing before showing the acceptance screen... I might throw £1 into that second account tomorrow and see what happens next week.
I had the same thing happen. I sent over £50 yesterday which appeared in the account today, so I've followed it up with another £950. This is the Exclusive RS1Make £2025 in 2025

I think it may be a coincidence and that it just happens to be a time they are doing some gardening so to speak. I had 2 RSs that accidentally opened when the app was being very stroppy recently . Naturally I tried to fund both but the funds bounced back twice, once from a transaction that was an internal transfer from my MBS easy saver and once a FP from my current account. That was weeks ago but only in past few days the ghost RS has disapperedBridlington1 said:Regarding Monmouthshire BS ``phantom accounts":

I’m also interested in opening this account by post as I’m not local to any branches.I already hold the Regular Saver and App Exclusive. How have others opened the Branch Exclusive? Where are the applications forms found ?Or is it simply a case of writing and enclosing a cheque to open sent to any branch ?
Send a cheque if you like, but others have reported not doing it and it being fine.
Posted on Saturday 2nd class there envelope to head office visible in app on Tuesday email received saying thanks for visiting Newport branch.
Would have required a ferry crossing to visit branch0 -

Ditto. I've had a mystery account disappear from the app without any action from me.1 -
for me, the unfunded RS from a couple of years ago has been removed from the app, but tantalisingly, the unfunded 2nd App Exclusive account is still there...s71hj said:
