The Coventry Sunny Day Saver seems a bit of a no brainer to me. Easy to open, chance of a prize and get all your money back next year. I've opened it with £10 & set up a standing order for £10 a month from October. Now I'll just forget about it until it matures in a year's time, unless I hear I've won a prize. 😁😁3

I thought mine was excessive with three. If they must send them by post, they could at least put them in the same envelope.schiff said:
They could perhaps offer better rates if they economised on postage. I've had eight letters from them today, all about recent activity.jaypers said:
The interest rate is absolutely awful but perhaps worth opening and funding with £10 per month for the draw.Bridlington1 said:Coventry BS are launching a Sunny Day Saver (2) at 4.3% (var), £150/mth, unlimited withdrawals.
In addition it comes with prize draws, See below for details:

I got closure statement and certificate of interest paid (for the same account) in separate mailings. I assume they are produced by different persons/teams and it's cheaper to pay two lots of postage than to attempt to bring them together as one.0 -
Yes, recent activity (account closure 'closing statements', interest statements..).ForumUser7 said:
Wow! What is meant by recent activity? Just statements or something different to normal?SJMALBA said:

As did I, also a letter for sending the proceeds to another account with them that I hadn't paid into for a while.Hattie627 said:

Previously indicated by @Bridlington1 although iirc the rate was unknown at the time.

You're new here, aren't you? T&C's are only meaningful if they are enforced ..... according to many frequent contributors to this thread!kermchem said:s71hj said:Then somebody will come up with a cunning strategy to open both!
All current YBS regular savers appear to have both an e and a branch/postal version with the T&Cs saying that you cannot have both, or more than one (unless joint).Compiler of the RS League Table.
