Anyone else had reversals in all of their Monmouth BS Reg Savers, funded on 1 Dec?
Yes, I have too. Just checked after I saw your message. My Issue 8 has gone really awol....I paid in £500 which has been credited in 2 payments as £375 & £125 and then -£125 was reversed - making a total payment of £375 for December?! My November payment of £500 has also been changed in my Issue 8 from a single £500 payment to 2 payments of £450 & £50, respectively? As for the Branch exclusive & App exclusive both payments were received into the RSs for December and then reversed. No monies (£1625) have been returned into the sending account, but they might show in the respective RSs , be returned tomorrow, or someones gone Christmas shopping!

I thought it was very odd when the December payments weren't showing early this morning........I know Skipton had a brief outage of 30 minutes in the early hours today and they were working to get their system up and running again - Wondering if other systems also went down HSBC etcCould those split payments be somebody else's transactions applied to the wrong account I wonder, something gone badly wrong so they've backed it all out to start processing again?My transactions were definitely there before lunch today but have been backed out.I can at least get into Furness now.Make £2026 in 2026

Cheers. I need to clear out my Stafford Regular Saver, so as they're in the same part of the woods as Hanley I could do them both in the same tripWillPS said:

Does anyone know whether the Hanley branch only 6.5 % is viewable online? I might only bother with that one if I can see the money going in...I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -
I might do! But then, I've never been to Edinburgh's Christmas marketKim_13 said:
Surely better to submit a postal application, as they will accept one. Even if the travel isn't costing money, the time taken must be worth more than a stamp.surreysaver said:
I'll have to pop up to Scotland sometime as their one hasn't appeared online
The relationship centre account is the same as the postal one, so you can't double up by going up to Scotland.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?1 -

I'm in the same position. At least it's convinced me to continue funding their Christmas 2026 RS which, at 6.5% fixed, is decent enough, albeit on 'only' a max of £150 per month

Me too. Was showing correctly when I checked earlier, but now reversed. Funds sent manually when MHBS paid out, so it can't be a case of the funds arriving too early in the morning before the limit was reset.ChewyyBacca said:

Newcastle BS have launched a First Home Regular Saver (Issue 1) at 4.8% (var)
You must be a first-time buyer, purchasing your first residential property to open this account
£500/mth max
Account last 24 months from opening
£12k max balance
Can be opened online or in branch
To qualify for a £500 bonus you must:
a. be a first-time buyer, purchasing your first residential property with a Newcastle Building Society mortgage. If you have previously owned a property, you will not be eligible for the bonus;
b. apply for your mortgage directly with Newcastle Building Society using our mortgage advisors. Applications made through a mortgage broker are not eligible for the bonus;
c. complete your mortgage within 5 years of opening your First Home Regular Saver account;
d. Keep your First Home Regular Saver account open for at least 12 months;
e. Save a minimum of £2,000 before the 2nd Annual Anniversary.
Note this account shan't be added to the open to all section as the Ts&Cs exclude those who have owned their own home before from applying, so shall instead be added to the Local/Loyal/Beta/New Member Only accounts section.

Has to be a wet signature on the form but the form itself can be scanned and emailed back with the ID, it's inserting the signature with editing software that isn't allowed. Cheque still had to be sent by post so I just posted it all.kermchem said:Bobblehat said:

No stamp needed - they have a Freepost address in their T&Cs and they'll send you an application pack if you haven't a printer.Kim_13 said:

Am I right in thinking you can even scan the application form (available online) and your POI docs and email the application (if you are not worried about email security)? Can you also pay the first deposit by FP or does it have to be a cheque only before they open the account?
No, I think we discovered that they want a wet signature on application form, physical evidence of identity (printed photo of driving licence) and a personal cheque.1 -
