My Xmas Principality Regular has matured, £1358.37 has been sent to my Virgin account & £200 has stayed in the account & the account changed into a 6 month issue 4 as instructed. 😊

My 2nd Issue 4, yay 😁, I try to get another at the end of the month 🤣

    Nationwide regular saver.

If l open this account with the intention  of funding my first deposit  on Sunday 30th, then my second Monday, 1st Dec. Will it work, or does Nationwide only do the next working day?
Yes that will work, as myself and many others will have done similar in the past.
I don't think it will, as Nationwide will date an internal transfer on a Sunday as Monday (therefore both payments would be in December.)

Before the cut off on Saturday and Monday, yes.
Apologise for the misinformation if this is the case, I can’t ever recall having an issue with deposits hitting the account when the first falls on a Sunday. However, I would recommend the OP goes with the Saturday to be sure.

MHBS have withdrawn their Fixed Term RS 30/09/26 (5.8% fix) AND their Ltd Edn Branch RS 04/11/26 (6% fix)

    No replacements shown.
Many thanks for this, I shall update p1 of this thread later today.

BOE Base Rate has been held at 4% today. As ever thresholds for this thread remain under review.

All my payments into my Flex Regular Saver have been dated the 1st, even when sent on the weekend. For example this month, the 1st fell on a Saturday and payment went through no problem and was dated accordingly.

My previous Flex Reg (Issue 3) had payments go through on the weekend with a statement date of the following working day, however, each payment was listed with the effective date of the 1st.

Based on this a payment of the Sunday should go through ok. It may get a statement date of the 1st but an effective date of the 30th which is all that should matter.

EDIT: I'll add to this from the following Nationwide page (which is always hard to find) Payment and transfer limits | Nationwide

    1. Payments between Nationwide accounts should be instant

    2. Standing orders to Nationwide accounts should go out of the chosen date.

EDIT2: Just realised the OP never mentioned if they would be funding directly from a Nationwide current account. Poor assumption on my part as the top image only applies if the payment is made for a Nationwide CA
Yes directly from a Nationwide CA.

I'll do that then. Thanks again.

Furness BS - Christmas Regular Saver Issue 2

As mentioned before I have experimented and tried an earlier payment. I did a transfer of £500.00 first thing on Fri 31/10/2025. As of 11:00 AM on Wed 05/11/2025 it still wasn't showing in so I contacted them via their Live Chat in the app. Was told the money was returned due to exceeding the monthly pay-in limit. Was told return can take 3-5 working days. As of right now I still have not received it back. Soon after messaging them yesterday I did another transfer of £500.00 and that was showing in this morning.

EDIT: Received the return on 11/11/2025 - 11 days after transferring. :#

I funded mine on a Sunday by transfer from another N/Wide account and it was credited the same day. It may be different if coming from an external account.
