This helpfully pays interest at the end of the 12 months, so in the next tax year which is helpful for us this year! £1000 is really very good a month, not sure we have this floating around to fund but we will need to re jig some of our other reg savers in favour of this one at 7%surreysaver said:

Just be wary its variable. I might think twice about rejigging fixed rate ones to favour a variable!Archerychick said:

I don't have funds to start another which is why I'm closing it near enough a month early because I need to fund other regular savings at the start of September.Section62 said:jameseonline said:...
I figure I'll be able to get the latest Nationwide Regular when I can & for time being I have the new Virgin one at same rate + can fund £50 more each month into that compared to Nationwide anyway.
...Personally I'd open a new Nationwide RS as soon as allowed and stick in the minimum balance (£1 ?).Nationwide have past form for pulling their RS offering with no prior warning and then going a long time before offering a new one. If you have the account opened already then you can't miss out if they do pull the account.Your potential loss from opening a new one now would be not having the maximum benefit from the 12-month term. But a less-than-maximum-benefit is a better outcome than no benefit at all, if you did miss out. You could also consider repeating the closing/opening when you are ready to fund the account.
Nationwide have had several versions of the 6.5% account, the current version is 6, I'm closing a version 3 in a few days.
The Nationwide Regular only allows £200 to be paid in every month but Virgin Money allows £250 to be paid in every month.
There's no point in me opening a new account if I can't fund it properly.0 -
If it's any consolation due to being at work I didn't get chance to apply before the app stopped working. I plan to just leave it till tomorrow and try again then.Dizzycap said:

Is it worth trying the App at say silly o clock, around 3am, when most people will have given up and gone to bed ?0

You'll have a job, the current version is 6🤣Speculator said:Just closed my Nationwide Flex Regular 3. Was due to mature in 20 days but needed the money to fund next months regular savers.
I just tried to reopen the Flex Regular 3 but computer says no. Anyone know how long before the system lets me open another Flex regular saver. Thanks.0 -
Just catching up with the MonBS news. Is the feeling that the system maintenance message is because of system overload rather than actual maintenance and when things calm down later on, it might work then?

I think it might be best to get a good nights sleep and look at it tomorrow, I don't think it's going to vanish over the next 24 hrs.subjecttocontract said:Is it worth trying the App at say silly o clock, around 3am, when most people will have given up and gone to bed ?I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.1
