  • Are we allowed a 7th payment into the Principality BS 6 month regular saver?

    Cheers

Sorry just found it the computer says no.
Maximum balance is £1.2k so I'm afraid if you've made 6 payments of £200 already you can't get a 7th in.
Forgot to cancel DD and couldn't remember if I had not cancelled it for a reason.

    Cheers
  • Can I keep my Skipton member regular saver open if I close the other savings account I have with Skipton? Is the condition to have another product with them just for opening the account or is it ongoing?

Yes, you can.  The membership condition is for opening only.

I don't imagine they'd close the account but why risk it? Just keep the qualifying account open indefinitely; then if in future a longer period of membership is required you'll be covered.

My other Skipton account is a cash ISA which is earning an awful rate and doesn't allow partial transfers.

Have a chat with Skipton in that case. Or risk it, but in either case get another easy access open with £1 to ensure future eligibility.

Chorley BS Regular Saver (31.01.2026) and Chorley BS Regional 2 Year Flexible Saver (31.01.2027) both at 5.15% are now NLA.

Replaced by Chorley BS Regular Saver (28.02.2026) and Chorley BS Regional 2 Year Flexible Saver (28.02.2027) respectively at the same rates.

I attempted to make a withdrawal of £3450 from my Monmouthshire BS Exclusive RS Issue 2 which would've taken the balance down to £50 and received this message in response:

    Dear Bridlington1
Thank you for your on-line transaction request. Unfortunately, this transaction has been declined for the following reason: Under the terms and conditions of the Exclusive Regular Saver Issue 2 no withdrawals are allowed for the 12 month term.
    Kind regards
I've sent them a message in response quoting the Ts&Cs in relation to being able to withdraw funds or close the account if they decide to reduce the interest rate so shall see what they say in response.
As far as I can see, the specific Ts & Cs for this account do not allow withdrawals or early closure:

The general RS Ts & Cs allow such things, but, presumably, the specific Ts & Cs trump those, in respect of the Exclusive RS iss. 2?

EDIT: Addition of opening section from Mon BS general RS Ts & Cs

I’m not convinced. I think @bridlington1 is correct in expecting withdrawal (or closure) to be permitted in the case of a rate decrease - curious to see how Mon BS respond.
