The only way to withdraw funds is to close the account.Born2Save_3 said:Principality Regular Saver Bond Issue 36 and other fixed rate issuesAs my EA position has changed, the Issue 36 rate at 4.85%A is now below my threshold. The conditions state no withdrawals during the term. Closure is possible, but I don't want to lose a maturing renewable account. So question is, has anyone been able to withdraw all bar the minimum balance from one of these ? And if so, how ?1 -
Thanks. I'm holding two at the moment. It's been a long time since I've opened new accounts, but when opening new, Principality's website enforces only one of each issue, doesn't it ? Or if it is possible to open more than one of an issue, is there a heightened risk of manual review and the inevitable consequences ?35har1old said:

I really enjoyed having the 2 year HH RS £50pm that just floated out without really being noticed - I'm wondering if they've changed/swapped the HH RS to the 1 Year Triple Access RS also with a max of £50pm but for only 1 year and with a variable rate that's due to decrease on the 5th of Feb. It will be interesting to see what savings products PBS launch next.Bob2000 said:Talking of Principality.... does anybody know if they will be releasing their Healthy Habits RS account again?

I don't think there is any history of HH reappearances. It was probably just one off. 1Y Triple is a different product which tend to reappear.0 -
Either way, PBS selection of decent rate savings products, is looking a little sparce.allegro120 said:

Furness BS 160th Anniversary RS
Posted the application form last Thursday, with cheque for £160. I've been a Furness saver continuously since Jan 2024 but don't have online access since they revamped their account portal sometime in 2024 and I couldn't get set up and gave up trying.
Cheque was debited today from my bank account and I received the passbook in the post today. Account opening was 21st January (yesterday) so maturity will be 21st November.
I've set up monthly SO for £160 1st Feb to 1st Nov inclusive.
Of note, a monthly payment of at least £1 (up to £160) is a requirement to maintain the account at the rate. Not many RS's have a minimum monthly payment requirement these days, so this may catch some holders out.

Yes, l tended to use it to put all my loose savings into it. I found it very handy, and the 2 year term meant less faffing about on my end. It will be a shame if it doesn't reappear this year.Dizzycap said:

Thanks, that's worth knowing. Although at 6.75% it's going to be near the top of my list for funding each month so I'm unlikely to miss it out.Hattie627 said:Furness BS 160th Anniversary RS

My spreadsheet is very good at flagging up (via conditional formatting) accounts which have a minimal monthly payment. I'm currently trying to get it to flag up Hanley's "can't miss more than 3 months" rule, but it's a tad more complicated to implement, especially as it's over 2 different tax years which are on separate sheets.1 -
Santander Regular Saver / Monthly SaverI hope mine will be maturing today and as this is my first time, I'm not certain what and when will happen.I've got an SO in place for 1p and this has not been taken today. Can I expect the balance and interest to be transferred to my CA after midnight, with the RS remaining at £0 and with a new/updated SO for the next 12 months ? Will the SO value change, maybe back to £200 ?As I did manual payments for £200 on the first for several months, I've managed to get 13 payments into the account, so the balance is £2600+ a few pennies. I'll find out if this slight overpayment is going have any consequences.1
