In the meantime can any of the soothsayers forecast when we might expect a shiny new Principality 6 month saver issue 5 - letters arrived today to say I have 2 more issue 3s maturing on the 2nd of February but I am going to hold off putting in maturity instructions until the final hour justincase.
But cancel the SOs, assuming the worse as we are already 3/4 the way through January
If Principality follows the pattern we might see issue 5 sometime in February, but you never know, they could also stop launching new issues of this product.
I've recently tried another cheeky maturity instruction and received a "secure message".  I didn't think my instruction will succeed but thought I'll try just in case.
Can I ask how quickly did you receive the 'secure message' from putting in your request please.
It arrived next day after I made my instruction.

    Furness BS

Did anyone, as a new customer, actually read the Terms and Conditions when setting up the Digital Account?

When I click on the link to view them, before ticking the box, I get this:

I’d be tempted to try another device/browser with that.

Furness funding sent yesterday is now showing in the app, so it appears to show more quickly if it is sent on a working day.
Tried two different browsers and two different devices.

Bit the bullet in the end and ticked the box. Just hope I haven't signed my life away

New customer to Furnace and opened now with no problems within 5 mins. Already sent first payment and wait for it to show tomorrow.

Can it be funded from 1st February onwards now?
No problem, and don't forget the 11th payment if you're inclined!
IIs it not 10 payments max or have I miscalculated? 1 payment each from Jan to Oct.
I believe the account runs 10 months from opening so if opened today maturity will
be 20th November 2026 thus allowing an 11th payment on November 1st…..

    and yes, I’m inclined!
Ah okay, thanks, for some reason I thought it matured 31 Oct.
Here are the rough figures for funding 10 payments or 11 payments

I think you may need to use the gross figure of 6.71% rather than the AER of 6.75%, as the account doesn't last for a year and there is no compounding of interest.
I also believe deposits will earn interest from the day of deposit should they be deposited on non-working days
Corrected as per surreysaver's note on rate, although my tables get generated for SO's sent on working days! I'll leave those that like to manually fund to do their own versions  :)

Although saying this, the pound I deposited yesterday lunchtime with Furness is showing as credited today, so I don't know if they would credit on a non-working day?
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

I think they are crediting only on the day the deposit shows. The £1 I sent on Saturday 10th Jan is dated the 13th (Tuesday) and the £160 I sent to the RS yesterday is dated today. If my maths is correct, the £160 should accrue just under 3p a day, but the RS is showing zero accrued interest.

Furness don't credit payments at the weekend. Standing orders don't get credited until the first working day after they leave your other account, so if the 1st is a Friday, it won't be credited until the following Monday.

You don’t by any chance use a VPN? The message looks similar to one that Azure gives me when I have my work VPN set at anything other than UK (which seems to randomly set itself to other places occasionally).

Earl Shilton BS forthcoming 6% RS
I spoke to two people there a couple of days ago. Both mentioned that there would be a dedicated application form and that should be created and available in time for the release date, which was mentioned, but I don't recall. As I asked for an application form to open an EA account, I received an application form and reply paid envelope today.  The application form I've received is 4 A4 sides and for a straight-forward sole application about one and a half A4 sides would need to be completed. There is no mention of ID requirements. And it is generic enough that any savings account could be applied for, as far as I can see. A cover note could state the account and a desire to initially fund with a transfer, if that is permissible with ESBS.
There was mention of a waiting list for 6% RS application forms.  I can see a good way forward with this, and perhaps as similar to Furness BS there was some differences in what may be possible dependent upon who you spoke to and what they knew/believed.
Missed this... is this gonna be online?
