Missed this... is this gonna be online?Born2Save_3 said:Earl Shilton BS forthcoming 6% RSI spoke to two people there a couple of days ago. Both mentioned that there would be a dedicated application form and that should be created and available in time for the release date, which was mentioned, but I don't recall. As I asked for an application form to open an EA account, I received an application form and reply paid envelope today. The application form I've received is 4 A4 sides and for a straight-forward sole application about one and a half A4 sides would need to be completed. There is no mention of ID requirements. And it is generic enough that any savings account could be applied for, as far as I can see. A cover note could state the account and a desire to initially fund with a transfer, if that is permissible with ESBS.There was mention of a waiting list for 6% RS application forms. I can see a good way forward with this, and perhaps as similar to Furness BS there was some differences in what may be possible dependent upon who you spoke to and what they knew/believed.
ESBS have no online applications, so far as I know. I'm pretty sure they don't offer online servicing of their savings products, but I could be wrong about that. There appears to be a login with the very familiar GUI used by many societies.0 -
There are four notice accounts that are marketed as online only, including the application process.WillPS said:

Here's one of them https://www.esbs.co.uk/60-day-notice-online/0 -
Still seems to be showing as available at my end but it has now moved to the maturity accounts section and the option to make an application through conventional means has been removed.Dizzycap said:Sorry if already mentioned: The Principality BS Christmas RS is NLA.
Principality BS Christmas 2026 Regular Saver
I'll move the account to the Local/Loyal/Beta/Age Restricted/New Member Only accounts section for the time being as from what I can see existing customers with maturing accounts can still select it as a maturity instruction. When it goes fully NLA I'll remove it entirely at that point.4 -
Okay, that makes some sense. It's unfortunate that as you can only hold one PBS Christmas 2026 RS as per T&C's, it's not a maturity option unless you haven't already got one.Bridlington1 said:

Please can you confirm what an "EA position" is.Born2Save_3 said:Principality Regular Saver Bond Issue 36 and other fixed rate issuesAs my EA position has changed, the Issue 36 rate at 4.85%A is now below my threshold. The conditions state no withdrawals during the term. Closure is possible, but I don't want to lose a maturing renewable account. So question is, has anyone been able to withdraw all bar the minimum balance from one of these ? And if so, how ?
Many thanks in anticipation.0 -

and would have had 3, if the loophole hadn't been closed 2 days before an early January PBS maturing account. Now I can't be bothered - If I have more than one of any issue of account, I don't bother to select another account of the same issue I already hold in maturity options as with other MSE members experiences, it's have been accepted and promptly rejected. --**MONEYFACTS**-- FULL List of Money Comparison Products + News / Guides--Personal MSE 2026 Money Saving Challenges:# Regular Savers 2026- New 9/12 - Total: 31 (6)# No.2 Save 1p A Day Challenge 2026 £355.02 / £667.95 (6)# No.4 Save £12k in 2026 - £8492.37 / £12,000 (6)# £10-a-Day Challenge 2026 - £710.56 / £1825 (6)# No.8 Sealed Pot Challenge 19 (22/10) 426 / £400 (6)# No.27 - Top Up EP 2 £1255 / £2880 (6).# Decluttering Challenge (6)# No.4 £2 Savers Club 2026 - Completed# No.5 Fiver Friday Challenge 2026 - Completed# Make £2026 in 2026 - Completed# Spectos Mailagent - ReadyMotto: 'SAVE before you spend on Non-essentials'2
