Last day of my working week tomorrow. The absolute dull home win of my week was putting a wash on a delayed start and getting home to it doing its final spin ready for me to hang out! Epitome of dullness. But I loved it.Struggling on the whole with work hours/ life and SEND DS2, but I’m going to keep checking in with myself and life and see how it plays out over the next few weeks and make changes where possible if needed. Feeling absolutely shattered. But also I just love my job and it gives me such inspiration and satisfaction etc, plus financially I need to keep on the current hours. Hope DS2 situation levels out a bit for him. It’s a big worry. And he’s so wonderful it breaks my heart.Child maintenance said they’ve processed my application to the stage of contacting DS dad. Still no show on the £’s so far from him. Wondering if CMS will motivate him or if he will burrow into a loophole. Probably the latter. I’m happy to have finally got that underway, regardless of the outcome it feels better for my own wellbeing!I’m having an early night and hopefully a good end to a busy week. 🤞🏼💯💪🏼❤️Emergency Fund: 1000/2000August Grocery Challenge: 208/550

Slept for 10 hours last night! Little lay in, dog walk, washing, rode friends horse, home now slow cooker going, waiting for shopping delivery to add chicken to the curry on the go. All snuggled up on the sofa with the dog, candles lit and heat on. Absolute blinder of a day. 🎉🌟🥰💯
Running low on funds atm, no £’s from DS’ dad still. Hopefully CMS gets somewhere with that. Savings plans being hit with this situation but I’m still doing ok, I can make better budgeting plans when I know the CMS situation. Also focusing on my own budget to stay on savings goals if possible 🤞🏼 and credit score has gone up to the highest it’s been in years! Still… roll on payday! 💪🏼Emergency Fund: 1000/2000August Grocery Challenge: 208/550

You sound very on track and organised
and great to have the down time too, day on the sofa with the dog sounds bliss! I've been in bed days with an awful bug and my cat has been keeping me company. He's a rescue cat, I've only had him a few weeks but he's certainly got his paws under the table and he's got me wrapped round his paws!
My self care has gone out of the window, hope yours is going better x4 -

I’m a bit fighting the vortex of overwhelming ness and trying to claw my way back to self care things atm. But I’m going to do my best to remain as calm as possible for the rest of the week. Work is heavy and home stuff DS2 SEND meetings heavy this week. Will be glad to get to Saturday for a heavy dose of self care xxx sending all the best wishes to youEmergency Fund: 1000/2000August Grocery Challenge: 208/550

Pay day is so nearly here! Very much needed. Must total up groceries, defo over 😵 budget again. So annoyed about this. Must do better.DS’ dad still no £’s for the children, CMS at the ‘contacting parent stage’ I image he will be avoiding being contacted quite strongly. Will see, glad it’s not me having to be trying to get blood out of a stone anymore. CMS said they’ll try and do direct debit as an opening offer to him as opposed to my suggestion of collect and pay. I don’t think they’ll have lots of luck with it but I’m feeling better it’s another step for me out of the toxic nonsense and it can now go on the books and if he’s on deadbeat territory he can be, but I think one day things will catch up to him- maybe when it’s tax return time?I’m not quite on target for EF atm. Bathroom floor tile has also given in, the impending doom of needing a new bathroom floor is closer than I or my EF needs!I have some backdated pay coming in I think tomorrow so that might just help out with EF. Will be exiting to pay off and move salary into pots tomorrow and begin again!Lots of house stuff to do and chores but I’ve been doing just enough and not a lot more as I’ve been loading on self care, chill and time walking the dog and riding my friends horse. It’s filled me with so much joy! And things have been super stressful for DS2 and school it’s been well needed.More work to do this weekend with house sort though just the dining area is such a drop zone for day to day stuff and it’s clogged! Makes me annoyed every time I pass it.Meal plans very needed this month. I must find a way to get groceries in check.
So come on payday… onwards and upwards 👆🏼Emergency Fund: 1000/2000August Grocery Challenge: 208/550

Just looking at my budget and goals and I’m feeling a little like I’ve nibbled off more than I can chew. I have done the maths though so unless major disasters it does look feasible on paper. Will take a big amount of willpower and mindset shifts. Grocery budget is my no.1 issue to get sorted atm. I have an online basket ready to check out, with food for a week and in budget- might do that sooner rather than later to avoid any top up shop temptation. 🙏🏼 cmon goals I think I can get to you!Emergency Fund: 1000/2000August Grocery Challenge: 208/550
