Glorious time at friends with the boys! So so great! Home for a chill time with boys, last day of chill tomorrow before back in day to day. Going to relish as much down time as possible in the interim!I did get a takeaway when we got back last night, but boys and me had it yesterday and today so I eeeked it out. Felt bad about getting one but home late and tired so caved.
Bathed and clipped/groomed dog today, did some decluttering, not lots but a bit, up to date on washing. Need to do floors but I’ll see how I go!Going to have an early night and hope for a good sleep. Shopping delivery tomorrow, I haven’t checked budget for groceries 🧐 must do that and update. I will go through basket again and get rid of some things 🤞🏼Emergency Fund: 1000/2000August Grocery Challenge: 208/550

So, made a bit of a batch cook, bolognaise which DS1 enjoyed with some homemade pizza dough cheesy garlic bread and I went for jacket potato, bolognaise, cheese and crem fresh. Absolutely delish and haven’t had that combo before I don’t think ever.. (is this possible?!) or a jacket potato for ages. A good large oven baked spud 🥔 ⭐️💯 classic. The shopping delivered and 🤞🏼 no little shops. Dog walked. Wardrobes switched for DS’ and decluttered, more to do there. Cake baked, soggy middle so I used a glass to cut out that bit so now looks like a large cake donut 🧐. Couldn’t be bothered to do floors. Hoover has almost given up. Back to work tomorrow. Don’t know if I have the energy after all the relaxing interspersed with odd jobs I’ve been doing. I’m going to try and remain calm and collected, not become sucked into a stressful vortex, and hope DS2 back to school goes better than where we were end of last term.My Monzo said I’m spending lots less this month than usual 🎉 nice when your bank account notifies you of positives! Hopefully it continues and I get to £1k EF by end of Jan. Bring it on.Emergency Fund: 1000/2000August Grocery Challenge: 208/550

What a great idea about the cake, genius! You sound very organised and productive. Good luck for getting the EF up to 1k by the end of the month. I’ll be a few months behind you I think…..

Day off! Going to have a chill morning and then finish off a tiny bit of work, only going to allow 20mins to do this as it is my day off! But it will help me out on Monday to have done it. Then I’m going to walk the dog and do some house chores, not sure what yet I’ll see where I can be bothered!Emergency Fund: 1000/2000August Grocery Challenge: 208/550

A good day! Walked dog, might take him again in a mo as it’s such a nice day. Cleaned floors, done some washing, went for a ride 🐴 🤩 online shop done and this morning I finally submitted child maintenance- collect/pay application. DS’ dad still being inconsistent and on top of that obnoxious when I ask. It’s been a long time since he paid on time, Aug 2024? And I’m over it. He’s self employed so not sure how useful CMS will be but I’d rather not have to communicate with him anymore about the £’s as he’s nasty about it and I’ve been patient enough. So all in all a good day! Now more washing, maybe another dog walk, shower and pjs for a chill afternoon and eve ❤️Emergency Fund: 1000/2000August Grocery Challenge: 208/550
