I had a half day today, I have spent my time so far getting MDs and SFDs groceries and take them over, I have ordered Xmas food and got the slot I wanted at M&S, (£60.50- £50 deposit). I have planned what I am getting gift wise but I have not bought anything else just yet just the food order, which I am excited about. I have decided to do an Xmas meal at mine just for me, but also visit MD in the morning and exchange gifts, also I will help her prep for her own xmas day feast, as I have decided not to invite myself there other than in the morning to exchange gifts and she said anything could happen.
I have decided to get MD a jumper I have seen and I know she likes, and the lodger and I have decided to spend £30 on each other, although what I have planned is closer to £40 - I have decided to do a spa kit but I am putting it together myself. It will have a puff, flannels, then face masks and balms and shower gel, and moisturiser, I also want to add some chocolate of some sort, expensive quality but not too much maybe something from Hotel chocolat - there is one nearby so perhaps I will go there on the run up to Xmas. I also want to get Choc liquer for both me and MD also from Hotel Choc, Chocs for SFD.
For the rest of the day I would like to do a few chores, it doesn't look bad here, but I want to get into the habit of cleaning once per week so a motivational list will do the trick: -
1) Change bed linen
2) put wash on
3) Hoover
4) mop
5) clean bathroom
6) bins
7) Prep dinner, eat and wash up.
8) R&R
Admittedly I don't feel in the mood, but I at least want to get the linen done, so I will push myself to do that and see how I go.
I don't think the rest need doing, so i'll leave until next week now and make and have dinner now.
It was a bit naughty but I bought another Xmas gift and MD is officially done, she will get socks, perfume and calendar. SFD will get puzzle books, whiskey and choc. (I still need to get sfds choc, i prefer to get this nearer the time) and lodger gift which I will get nearer the time. Then that is Xmas wrapped up, I may buy some chocs to take to the office and choc liquer for myself, but that will be it. I want to save some spending money for Christmas day, I like to do a bit of shopping for myself as one of my treats for the day.
Therefore for the rest of the month I have £313.73/£600 I am expecting to deduct £90X2 and £80X1 leaving £53.73, but i'll have more then enough food and if the weather persists like this I will be glad to stay in. I now have a cross stitch lamp and cross stitch and a book to read and cooking to do tomorrow, so I will have plenty to keep me occupied, I will try and claim a no spend day tomorrow and maybe stay in pjs! Plus I have a pizza and choc and popcorn! Wow if I actually stay in it sounds like a really good day!
Have a lovely weekend allXX

I posted yesterday about what I was going to do that day, and deleted in the end because I changed my plans and did my last bit of Christmas shopping and I have now spent more then I should have however I still have just enough for fuel and food so not the end of the world. I am expecting a delivery this morning for some of the items (thank amazon) so I can wrap all gifts and then that part will be done.
Today I don't want to give myself a big to do list but rather I think I would like to make the lasagne today and see how that goes before ...Just then....A phone call...MD said sister is selling a very good car for £1500 half what she paid as the boot really is not big enough, I have just bought 1 day car insurance so I have gone beyond what I had planned now but worth it for a bargain car I think. Lets see I am due to test drive at 10am today.
Other things I want to do today include wrapping gifts and making lasagne. No spend days are stuck on 2/12 including today after buying one day insurance! Scratch that..........
Sometime later... I just got back and I didn't even test drive the car, the shape and dynamics were not quite right so I have managed to get a refund on the insurance I got, so hopefully I should get 3/12 no spend days including today lets see it is still early in the day.
Amazon came while I was out but didn't go to the right place so now they haven't delivered, urghh so annoying! At least it has not been stolen or delivered to the wrong place, I am thankful for that at least.
Sometime later.... I have made baby steps towards making the lasagne the peppers are roasting and the onions are chopped, I just have very little go in me today, I just want to do nothing, I will power through though and get the lasagne made at the very least, it is what I wanted to do this weekend, and it will make 4 delicious meals! Amazon still have not been back 😒 I guess I should have been in for it!
Sometime later....Part of Amazon has arrived but not the first lot, The quorn mince mixture is in the oven the peppers have been done and all that is left is to make the bechemal sauce and put it together once ready, getting there, it really is a battle! Here's some positive news, the only snacks I have had today are oranges, yoghurt and I have left the choc and popcorn for another day!
sometime later...Lasagne made and washing up done, there is just the oven dish which had the quorn in to clean that can wait until cool. I had to open a window my brain was going foggy! I am glad that is done, but what next??Missions for the rest of the year:-

I had a moment where I just lie there on the bed and feeling relaxed and I thought I don't have many problems right now, I know I shouldn't speak too soon, but life is treating me well right now. It feels good, I have a job which I am getting on with, I am actually in a position to achieve some of the goals I had set myself for quite some time and had not been able to reach. I have a lovely lodger again. I am eating more rationally, I feel like I can achieve some of the objectives I had always wanted to achieve. Also I am going to let you in a a secret plan of mine..I am saving hard right now (not that hard), and I have decided to make the maximum 10% payment of my mortgage before the new cross over, which I think is May next year. So I will have an EF make OPs, saving for a car and generally in a much better position. Also I realise that I really like where I live, even though I am designated to the smallest room in the house, I love it here. I am happy, so I thought I would share this new revelationXXMissions for the rest of the year:-

Today lodger is in with the lurgey, it has gone to his chest but he said he never takes any medication to recover, I am a bit worried about him. However yesterday and the day before he worked feeling ill and he has not got any worse. I can't say I fancy eating at his restaurant now though! he says it is not up to him to decide if he is ill, even though when asked he said he feels unwell - silly man! and not good for the restaurant or other people either, although I like his work ethic, I don't think he should go out, plus I think he should get and use some meds. But I am just a landlady, what can I do?
I am aiming for 4/12 no spend days today cash is at £114.87 (including a refund due to come in)/ £600 80% Utilised and 80% more of the month to go or 20% of the month nearly gone!. Have a good day allXX
sometime later...Mission accomplished 4/12 no spend days and Amazon have been, so I'll get wrapping tonight!
sometime later ...I have come to realise that there is an added bonus of being in the small room, I no longer hear my neighbours antics at night and my neighbours antics don't bother my new lodger, so WIN!
Sometime later...Council tax hasn't changed but there is a credit on the account which they said would be refunded to me. Apparently there is nothing more to pay this year, that will be a welcomed relief, but I am not sure i'll believe it until the fat lady sings!Missions for the rest of the year:-

I am up to 4/12 no spend days and aiming for 5, however I am due to go to the office today so I am hoping I don't spend on junk food, one of my missions, I will be taking with me once I make it an egg mayo sarnie, nuts, oranges and a yoghurt, I may take the popcorn I have too so I have something extra should the need arise. Spending is at 80% utilised and 19% of the month complete. I am aiming for 80% Utilised and 54% complete before I spend any more money maybe or around there, I may need to get fuel before. Baby steps. Enjoy your dayXXMissions for the rest of the year:-

I am up to 5/12 no spend days, however I no longer have any sweet treats it didn't take long before I caved, today I needed to have popcorn and I had the choc on Monday. So I see a spendy day on the horizon or I make a cake tonight and get a lamb curry out the freezer. I don't have a lot to do so why not? I'll grease the tin once I have posted this message. I did buy fuel today but it was less then planned amount however I need to go steady on the miles if I am to keep it going to the end of the month, the last lot lasted 21 days so I will have to eak out the miles a bit, maybe stay in some weekends, also we may not be going to the office one week which would be nice.
Work is going well I have a scary meeting tomorrow, but my team leader has mentioned the Xmas holidays and that is when the probation period ends, I may get a break this Christmas as I was hoping for. However I need to eak out my last half day to the end of the year! and we still have the best part of three months. But the fact that she mentioned it made me think that probation was sorted, wowser a job and I love it. I told my team leader this this morning, and she said maybe now but not always! It can seem a bit monotonous to keep emailing customers but I still love it! and especially getting the money in (credit controller!).

I have reached 5/12 no spend days and aiming for 6 today I have £64.12 left / £600 which is 89% utilised, the remainder is earmarked for food shop. We are 22% of the way through the month and there is 23 days left before I next get £600.However if I get a council tax refund like I am expecting to, I may use this before the end of the month if it arrives? I have a scary meeting today, so I'll be glad when today is done with or at least the meeting part. However I did make a lovely cake to tied me over!
