I have officially purchased a car it cost me £7350 out of that I did have £5701 from my insurance claim and I have transferred £420 out of the £1000 on credit card over to 0%.
I believe it's a refund for a car. Crazy bought the car on Monday and changed her mind.

Crazy, it should be alright, you've said they have a refund policy so just be patient, I'm sure it will come. Refunds always take ages.

Hi Bee, I thought insurance settlements took weeks to come through. It will turn up when they possibly do a weekly/monthly payment run? I looked at our monthly spend on food for 2 pensioners. Averages £160 a month. Healthy food cooked from scratch as we have the time. Have you thought about getting back to the swimming? You seemed to enjoy that.

It's not a refund, it's a insurance settlement & it will be proccessed more slowly.
Hi Guys and thank you, I know I ramble a lot so not to worry about it, but it was a refund for the car as I have changed my mind about getting it, and not to worry I have received it now. Thank you both.

You are correct Redlipstick I have received the funds, thank you. However I am now having second thoughts about not having a car, but for the time being I will use MDs and SFDs and save what I need and be debt free for a bit. Thank you XX

Good news MD has updated the insurance for the car so we are legit with me driving and using the car, I was already insured but the policy was at MDs address, now it is at mine, I am so glad she did that. Bless her. We are off out tomorrow also and the weekend has offically started. I appear to still be stresssed out still but I am unsure why? Maybe it is because one minute I had enough for a car and the next I didn't! I plan on making good use of MDs car, I am going to utilise it until I have saved an EF and enough for a car. So potentially10K, I think should be okay, we are talking next year sometime.

My colleague and team leader just said that she is not bothered what I do for the rest of the day 10 mins before the end I closed down, I think that was a mistake, I won't do it again.

I am trying to get in good spirits but I am surrounded by an impossible air.

Anyhow I have some chores to do, so maybe that will take my mind off things. I will write a motivational list to work through, I am hungry so maybe dinner first!

Since it is a spendy day today, I have purchased some Christmas presents all that is left to get for Xmas gifts is Chocolate, chocolate liquer and something for lodger. I am going to wait and see about the lodger, see what he is into etc. I know he is a chef and likes netflix, and likes the ladies!! and works like a beast, on that thought I will wait but I am thinking something to relax with like a mans spa kit? I'll see what I can find but not this month, I have done enough spending for this month.

I spent £23.65 + £50 gift voucher for Calendar for MD & SFD, Kaftan For MD, 3X Puzzle books for SFD, 1Xtaster Whiskey set for SFD.

I also spent £27.75 on 4X pairs of clearance extra roomy bed socks would usually cost more then twice as much! I didn't expect to pick up a bargain at this time of year for this type of item! For MD.

From £600 I am down to £529.85 I have written all this in my new expenses book and it has made me realise I don't want to spend again this weekend as that is quite a chunk. And I won't buy gifts again this month. I'll stick now to essentials. I won't buy the chocolate until nearer Xmas, in case wondering hands (mine!!) make it to the choc!

I really like my new expenses book, I highly recommend them. Thanks @RedLipstick I love it! Seeing the money and writing it is more impactful, but I am still a big spender at heart!

My Mum doesn't either but my lodger has said that he would cook me a christmas dinner, and we are going to have Christmassy day over the Christmas period (Not on christmas day as he is working)! Also I think he is quite a sweety! I won't buy anything yet though it might be tempting the Gods!
