I have cashed in prolific and now I am on £210.34 which is 68% I am certainly on my way to goal. This morning I have a face to face appt. at job centre because of air tasker sadly, I will mention the bookkeeping business I have started but as I have no customers I am sure they are not interested. Then I need to get back promptly to send off the computer via courier. Whilst at home I need to make the place look a bit better, polish here, clean there, put away clothes etc. Ready for the potential lodger tonight. Then when the parcel has gone and if there is a bit more time I will pop to MDs to do their toe nails earning £20! closing the gap in the goal. Have a good day allXX

Good luck for today , do you have to report the airtasker to jobcentre even for such a small amount,  seems like a lot of admin on their side

    and thanks Beanie

Funny you should mention the airtasker, not only do I see a drop in benefits, but also the survey money had to be reflected as it is income based benefits, thankfully he said we will start from the beggining of June and not go back, although he did warn me they may go back later down the line, so I can expect a big bill at some point. Better to know now then later when it is beyond what I can pay back! Anyhow the point is now I can continue to earn survey money however it will only have a value to me as of 45p for every £1, which is still better then not doing it, I suppose, but it does mean this househld is getting a lot tighter!

I will show you what the calculations look like if I were to earn £5 per day for the rest of the period or £10 per day or nothing more to start:-

Bearing in mind I need £305 next month I had said until the beggining of next month but technically it needs to be end of the month, If I earn £10 per day for the rest of the period (on surveys alone + air tasker if I should choose this?) I will have an extra £180 but will lose £259.34-178.34=81) £79 but overall the extra money coming is better then not at all. I didn't ask about MD jobs but I think because she is my mother you could class it is a gift even though I am performing a service, anyhow I have opted not to declare that, let me know if you think I am right or wrong?

That £500 at the top of each of the spreadsheets is Rent, Benefits is what I will be paid dependent on what I have earnt first column, earn £5 per day second column and £10 per day column 3 (for the rest of the period that is). At least this way I am playing by the rules and earning some cash extra legally. On that note I have just asked my work coach about money my mum gives me, lets make sure I am playing by the rules! I hope I am right about it, otherwise I may not be able to afford anything ever again!

I do feel like my luck has run out today, or at least it has been running out for sometime...anyhow onto better topics, or not, let me explain...

I have a potential lodger coming tonight, but secretly I feel like cancelling because he is a lot older, or at least old, I am not agist but I just feel uncomfortable around older men, I feel some what less trusting. I am wondering whether to cancel meeting him, or give him the benefit of the doubt and at least meet him! Which is the side I am leaning towards, but if I do feel incompatible I will have to return to searching for another lodger which is risky, however the early bird mark has not closed long therefore I may get interest after the first 7 days. But I really need to take care in this decision. Which leads me to the tasks I need to do today:-

    1) put washing on

    2) Put washing away

    3) Wash up

    4) Make cake - Too hot to make a cake!

    5) attend to the bathroom

    6) Make Home tidy & presentable & list any other jobs I find!

Wish me luck, because it looks like I need itXX

Okay my work coach has said that he will write off the past if I report everything accurately going forward and he has written this in my notes, therefore I will do what he says and he said not to worry and to have a good weekend. He also said that if your mum sometimes gives you money as long as it is not a regular income it is okay, as it can be classed as a gift, like I thought. So I can do the odd thing for them, we help each other out!

This way at least I am earning something for my keep, and I still get a fair amount from the government I feel actually I should be quite happy with this as it is not a complete disaster. Anyhow now I hope to make £10 a day on surveys...wish me luckXX

Sometime later.... I have come up with a plan, Room rent is not considered with regards benefits, and I haven't charged the max, I was thinking of providing B,L & Dinner and ask for the max, If I operate at lower costs with a few extra here and there, I think I could make £60 per month doing it!

I understand where you are coming from Beanie, however if you see my side, if I were to provide meals I could actually make money out of it, as I have offered them at £5 per night, which is £35 extra per week, at the moment my food budget is £50 every two weeks and at the momenet I can feed two on this budget at a push but having some extra money I could add some meat to my meals at the least and I have to make myself something at any rate. Out of this money I may add £10/£15 leaving £20 per week Which is £1040 per year! or £86 per month!!

I have cashed out £14.25 this morning, making cash pot total £224.59 which is 73% however factoring difference in value with benefits it is actually £216.59 which is 71%.

Gosh I am very hot today, bring on the cooler weatherXX

Hi CB , you are up very early also , I guess it's the heat , so warm last night . Re the meals , it would be great for you to earn a bit extra but it would mean you had to be present 3 times a day and if a job comes up they may require you to be in the office . You could however offer your special meals , baking etc at an extra cost and that way you are in control of when you make them . We'll done on sorting out your benefits and have a nice weekend xx

Hi Newstart MD said the same thing and now I have offered evening meals only at £5.00 a night, so they may or may now take me up on the offer, I was thinking about incorportaing it into the whole price, but MD said some people may have funny ideas about food so best to offer only if they want it and put a price that is equivalent to the same actually more, and MD thinks it is a good price to have your meals cooked for you.

I did go back to bed and opened the window, feeling a little more refreshed now thanks. I hope you have a good weekend and anyone else that passes byXX
