    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks Guys I know you mean well and I did have a couple of teary nights but we are fast becoming friends, I know he is not interested in me, he has a new GF which he mentions quite few times (and I am thankful for that as it keeps me in check!), We still have a good time, we had a meal together last night and we have a lot of jovial conversation, I really just enjoy his company, I am thankful for the time I have with him, that is allXX

Today I am in recovery mode from yesterday- long tiring day at the hospital with MD! I still don't know what happened or how the procedure went but MD is in one piece and we left before they had chance to tell us as it was taking too long. It was nice to go home after! MD still in bed also!

I need to do some chores today, not very exciting but I want to do a to do list to help motivate me, sorry to be a boring read but it really helps!

    So The list:-

    1) Change bed linen in mine and lodger rooms

    2) Put bed linen on to wash

    3) Clean bathroom

    4) Wash up

    5) Get inspired what baking and cooking can be done with what is in the cupboard?

    6) Also do prolific!

    7) Do Bins

    8) Clean dining table

    9) Have lunch

Ohh man I just wrote loads and it hasn't saved...eak...I think it is poor connection, I will try again!

What I was trying to say was; I was thrilled the chores are done and I am excited about my new find, I made a chickpea curry a couple of nights ago and it was one the top curry's I have had for some time and I have just found out how much it costs...woe cheap street £0.49 p a can and I got 6 meals out of 3 cans wowser!

Also I have found since opting to not spend on credit card I have become for the most part vegetarian, I have got an order for £57 this includes brekkie, lunch and dinner, including 22 main meals roughly speaking, 2X easter eggs (obviously not luxury!) eggs to make cakes and bathroom and kitchen cleaning products, this is expected to last two weeks, that is a reduction of £43 on shopping which is 43% from £100 for two weeks, plus I will have packed up my freezer some what making the following shop potentially cheaper! I can't believe what I am happy to sacrifice to stay within my means...but yet not sacrifice that much as I still will have cake! I will have my cake and eat it!

Also on the furniture front I have been thinking...MD said she would be happy to give me some money for BDAY so therefore I am making up the shortfall and get the chairs for my birthday present, I will use prolific funds for this. I need £260 roughly speaking so far I am up to £34.72, at least it is a fun mission to aim for!

I was hoping to get some studies on prolific but it is all quiet there at the moment I made about £20 yesterday on prolific which I was pleased with, however I have made £20 today taking some groceries to MDs (as well as hospital run on Monday) I will include that in the savings which I have put in my signature.

I am still over the moon with the shop having got to the spending goal of below £56 in the end, I should receive this shop tomorrow. I guess if I didn't have things in it wouldn't be as easy however if I make plus 20 meals I won't need to spend so much on the next shop so then I can top up on flour and pasta etc. Also once I have used up all shampoo and conditioner and toothpaste this will be another expense that costs quite a bit, I may add the odd one bit to each shop so I keep on top of it, as opposed to running completely out. I am lucky I have as much money as I do, as I have a lodger, I was considering upping the rent for the next person, but it seems a bit stingy? It is only a small room, however I think I could get it potentially but at the same time I don't like to exploit the situation and I have more then a lot of people in this situation (i.e without a job).

The £20 I received from MD was for fuel, but if I stop going out and spending on fuel I can put this in the pot which now stands at £56.06/£260 = 21%. I have two longer journeys to make next week including JC appt. and eye test, also as part of the deal I will need to take groceries over to MDs but I can do this on the same day as I go to the eye appt. Also I now have a gift voucher for £5.00 to spend in Mr. M&S thanks to all my online activities yippee! I think I will spend this on fresh bread and pate on another occasion as this is a real treat and I think I will need something when I am living out of the freezer and cupboards etc, i'll wait a week as MD got me some today also.

Hi Newstartforme. Thanks for the feedback, that is good to know. I guess because they are students on a break/ or end of year assessments etc.

It is just gone lunch time, I have had to call 999 today don't panic everything fine. I thought and my gp thought that I had gone into hypo (not enough sugar) but It wasn't enough to warrant an ambulance call out but I did speak to the paramedic over the phone and I did another blood test and she was happy that I was okay. But I am finding more and more days where I feel faint because of my change in diet, therefore I have an appt. booked to see diabetetes nurse soon, but in the mean time I am self reducing my meds because I don't seem to be able to get an appointment sooner, which is fine, the food I am eating is a lot of SW friendly stuff for some of the time especially main meals and sometimes lunches too. I have reduced sugary snacks some what, although I have just made a cake (the batter still yet to bake), admittedly I am thinking of giving this to MD and SFD as an Easter present as it is a fruit loaf.

I have also today made Spag bog, I am letting it cool then I will see how many meals I will get out of it, I am considering putting half the spag bog in a big bag and using another time for lasagne, or even making lasagane now? I will have to raid cupboard for lasagne sheets - but I believe at the end of the cupboard I have some?! I may or may not do this?!

Prolific I did manage to wangle a few surveys today but not many - I am up to £65.32 which is roughly 25% of the way to £260! I am set to earn £20 next week this will bring me up to £85.32 32% but potentially I will get a few more inbetween from prolific it would be good to get to 50% by this time next week so I will need to earn £44.68 on prolific, it might be tough with Easter but I will try.

I spent my £5.00 voucher today - turns out I couldn't wait to get into MrM&S and spend! I got Fresh bread which I have savoured and I have some for tomorrow too (and was very good - I have also savoured my pate to last until tomorrow! I bought some crisps which are mostly still intact and biscuits which has helped me feel a bit more human. Now that I am considering not taking meds I think I will reduce my sugar intake to no added sugar (except bread and cereal etc...) such as not have cakes, biscuits, ice cream etc. I have been doing this lately so it shouldn't be all that difficult, lets see. If I monitor my blood I should get an idea as to how well I am doing.
