  • Regarding refer-a-friend offers it may be worth noting that I've mentioned some offers on the first page of the Savings/investment DDs and debit card deposits- An updated list thread as remarks, which could be a way to get a bit of extra money for this challenge.

The thread contains a list of savings/investment accounts that allow deposits by direct debit and/or debit card, which may also be of use to you if you're planning to make money out of bank reward accounts and current account switch offers.

Please note that the above thread should not be used to request/exchange referral links/codes as that is not the purpose of the thread. Refer-a-friend offers are only mentioned in case you are interested in using one of the items on the list and know someone who could refer you in order to get a bit of extra money whilst you're at it.

Additionally I am unwilling to refer anyone via MSE owing to the forum rules so please do not message me requesting referrals as I shall have to politely decline.
Ok I see, so referral sharing is not allowed. Got it
I did did sign up to Jamdoughnut via a referral on a thread so did not know.

Thank you for clarifying and will check the link above

No worries. It's easy to miss, especially if you're new to the forum.

For future reference the link to the thread I mentioned has recently been added to the Budgeting & bank accounts sticky (announcement at the top of the Budgeting & bank accounts board) so if you lose the link to it, the thread can easily be found.

Just an extra £3 from a Vinted sale. Vinted slowed up for me at the end of last week, so I’ve spent today uploading and sifting through for more to sell (loads to go). Lots of interest, but no fresh sales yet.

I would imagine that sales would begin to get slower now given the reality of the Christmas spending splurge that now needs to be paid for and the fact that's its been exceedingly cold and heating usage / bills would have increased, so people will be clearing Christmas debt & holding back on spending.
I've also noticed an increased number of unwanted Christmas gifts being listed for sale over the past 2-3 days, which means other listings get pushed further down the potential sales list. Vin*d is heaving with listings at the moment, so I'm going to prepare my listings and list later on. Fortunately, I haven't got too many items left to list as I fully declutter the house, garden & shed last year with the exception of one very large wardrobe left to clear out and hopefully pass on once it's empty x
