@sparklychar I hope that includes some nice expenses

Thank you! Well, we shall see! We recently moved house and we would love some new lounge furniture, plus we do have some trips and events planned, which are nice things... but then things like a mystery leak in the kitchen and car deal coming to an end are less fun!

Good to read peoples' progress and positivity  <3

So far this year for me:
    £5 Morrisons Fiver voucher
    £1.80 Nectar spent at esso
    £2 Clubcard voucher
£10.99 Lidl app vouchers (£10 on their spin to win, plus a free veg voucher - pak choi for ramen yum!)
    £9.02 TopCashback payout.

    £28.81/£2025 (No.8)

I've got lots of things to sell, some extra work coming up, and some savings earning interest too, so fingers crossed! I'm going to get on my old Prolific account too
    :)

Hi, newbie here. Please can I join this challenge?

I am just starting out on a mission to find new ways to bring in more cash, mainly ebay but I have also just started on Prolific and planning to switch my bank account too. I think having a target to aim for would really help push me into action! Thanks

First of all welcome to the forum.

On the point in bold it's generally best not to switch your main account and that it would be better to instead have a second current account that you use solely for grabbing the switching offers.

By doing this you're not having to faff about with updating bank details with work, family, other banks etc and can treat banks switches as completely separate to the rest of your financial affairs. Plus it means that on the off chance the bank you're switching to does make a horlicks of something it's not going to affect you that much and you can just complain and get money out of them as an apology without any stress.

Also check on the likes of TopCashback, Quidco, MSE, Snoop etc as you can often get cashback or vouchers for opening a current account and then get the switching offer on top.

I love getting the extra through TCB for a bank switch.  A £175 switch can become £210 ;)  Unfortunately, I've exhausted the bank switch list now :D.
#36 - Another £18.50 made today :*:D I've also had another set of missing tracked cashbacks logged into my TCB account this morning, but as always, I don't count them until the fat lady sings and they are payable ;)

Worth noting as well that Snoop currently do a £5 Amazon voucher refer-a-friend offer. Due to the forum rules I can't send you a referral link on this site but you can easily get a referral link elsewhere.

I've also used Snoop to get cheap (under £1) SIM only deals so it's possibly a useful one to have.
