Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! Dizzy's back
Sorry to hear about your hip - how on earth did you do that? (or shouldn't I ask????) My right shoulder will keep it company: it's been partially dislocating - but thankfully (so far) going back when I encourage it - at least once a day for the past 6 weeks. Just the other day I was trying to work out how old Tiny and Small are. Are they taller than you yet? 4 out of my 6 grandchildren have overtaken me, the eldest two by almost a foot.
So, I fetched DGD1+2 from school and fed them, as planned. DGD2 then made vegan gingerbread dough, which is resting in the fridge until I feel an urge to roll it out, bake it and decorate the biscuits, which will add a little je-ne-sais-quoi to the Christmas Day feast.. DS1 came to collect the girls, replaced the fill valve on the upstairs toilet cistern, changed a dead lightbulb on the landing, and mended the outside handle on the front door which had come off in DH's "gentle" hand yesterday - all in about 20 minutes. IDS1. After that, I got my zzz on the sofa - it's very comfortable
Flying has consisted of clearing up the kitchen, emptying the DW and refilling it, and washing saucepans.
DH has gone out to play (wargames) so I'm going to wrap presents now xxx7 -

Tomorrow I plan to sort out Mr N's presents while he is at the gym; do the church flower arrangement and hopefully start DBs. That will leave BIL and Mum's for Saturday. Oh, and Mum's neighbour. I also plan to set clothes out ready to pack on Saturday.
- church flowers done. Mr N helped me carry my arrangement and a silver birch branch I'd sprayed silver (in fact there are patches of silver spray at various locations in my garden now!!). We decorated 2 windowsills, swept the pews both seat and floor, vacuumed the aisle, got all decs out and started to put the tree together. More church friends are meeting to decorate tomorrow but as it is the same time as I'll be swimming, I tried to do my share early.
- finished DBs flowers
- planned BIL, Mum's and NDN and oasis is soaking.
- filled bird feeders
- made? prepared? candied orange peel - "orangettes" recipe from my JL advent calendar. Golly what a lot of sugar; it is like making marmalade. However the sugar/water mix seemed way too much for the 2 oranges it recommended so I may make another batch tomorrow. The strips are now drying (1-2 days apparently) ready to be dipped in chocolate, tied in bundles and will be little gifts for BIL and DB. With the orange flesh, I made a microwave cake-in-a-cup for dessert, using coconut flour which I'm getting used to using.
- made a large chilli in the slow cooker so I won't have to cook from scratch tomorrow.
- weighed out the ingredients for the Christmas pudding and the nut roast, both of which I'm making once we are down in Mum's house on Monday. So in theory they just need mixing and cooking.
- more lists! Have listed things I need to buy, things I need to make sure I pack (ranging from laptop, pressure cooker, foil, nut roast tin) and what I'm cooking on Boxing Day when BIL is round. He's doing Xmas eve; we're both allocated to various bits of Xmas dinner.
- updated spreadsheet with meter readings and charges for this month
I haven't actually piled my clothes up ready to pack tomorrow, but I've done it so many times this year it's just a matter of the usual plus Christmas jumpers/shirts and a skirt.
For those who like them, here are the flowers - church and DB/SIL's present:

So good to hear from you and looking forward to you rejoining the fold when time and other commitments allow. *healing vibes* for your hip. Those arrangements are fabulous Narco.I managed to forget to turn the slow cooker off this evening when we went out. The red cabbage thing is amazing, but not quite what I intended!Better is good enough.7

What did i do yesterday? took car through car wash with AA benefits (if you’re in the AA get the app and look at the discounts you can get) then, as I was so close to DS’s work I dropped in to check my tyres which DS did for me, Was mad though as it’s access to big Mr T and Mr Al. Topped car up with petrol, warning light came on en route to Mr M. Took stuff to CS inc massive vase which was my sisters and had fancy twigs in and stood on the living room floor. Twigs long gone, got rid of a few other bits too. Went swimming, got 10 swims for price of 8 voucher extended. Did some knitting. Took aged ps to social meal at work, Pa read the menu and has arranged for me to rake him into cafe for a Full English when mum is at Care Group. He’ll enjoy that.
DD and I have planned xmas day breakfast, pastries and fruit. Pain au chocolat for her, mine will be danish or croissants as i don’t like p au c.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Greetings earthlings xx
Gorgeous flower arrangements Narc0 xx
Christmas nibbles and quizes in our lunch break at work yesterday. The right people were off to make the experience enjoyable 😉. In fact it was great fun and a laugh. Words I do not usually associate with Toxic Towers 🤣
Called at PO on my way home to pay the rent and pick up two parcels. A couple of extra bits for DS and DDil, and a Christmas present for me from me: Scrub Daddy pack. I know how to treat myself 🤣🤣
Today? I'm up, made my bed, turned over the calendars, taken my meds, completed Wordle in six (too many options), completed Strands with two hints, only managed two lines on Connections- and I still don't get the connection on the last two lines even with the answers 🤔, and supped my first brew.

Morning all. Welcome back Dizzy.Yesterday in addition to what was planned I mopped the downstairs floors.
Wordle in five. No real plans for today but I'll try to report back if I do achieve anything.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Wordle in five (as Round says, too many choices), all four Connections (most unusual for me) but I did use the Restart option as I had to cycle through some choices which all fit the criteria, love Strands and now have a go at doing it without hints.Safe journey Narco.Sorry to hear your shoulder is still dislocating daily Ionafan. Will need to shuffle stuff in the freezer to get the cabbage boxes in, and ideally I'd like to make some sausage rolls and min spies today which means getting stuff out of the depths, along with the mushroom strog. The sprouts thing was lovely, not two words I'd use together usually, so I'm really glad I tried it before the day as I now know I can flash stir fry the sprouty slices and it'll be even better.Need to rehome the other two thirds of the gifted fruit cake. Is it just a Devon/Cornwall thing to make a fruit Christmas cake, marzipan it and then put a coating of chocolate over the whole thing? Both people I know who had farming grandparents do it but much as I love chocolate the combination makes me queezy. Also need to decide which of Belovéd's presents are for Christmas and which for his birthday on Epiphany, so I don't have duplicates for each of them. And buy more cheap crackers because I've been adding a little something to them as gifts and I've given away nine so far, which was several more than I originally intended but I keep seeing people I like.Better is good enough.6
