Hi all
Just rushed in to say hello, too tired to read properly, I will catch up tomorrow.
I have a lot of Christmas prep to do this week but today was a late finish at the paid stuff so that has kept me occupied.
The house is OK-ish. I will not stress about it.
Roll on next week and some time off.6 -
More hugs coming your way Valli, getting old/caring for parents is not a great deal of fun I have decided.
- last, and very jolly, dancefit class with almost all Christmas songs and plentiful festive jumpers/headwear like we're not all 65+...........
- One load washing done courtesy of Mr N
- mega shop done which went pretty well other than my losing one of my lists at probably the first stop. However, it was the Xmas pudding and nut loaf ingredients list which are fairly easy to make up. Need a formal sortout of what we have bought tomorrow.
- made arrangements to meet my Saturday swim buddy on Wed for coffee at my house. This has several advantages a) if we can't meet up on Saturday at least I won't be left scrabbling to deliver her present and card at the last minute b) knowing she is coming round will motivate me to have a big tidy in the lounge and kitchen c) I've been wondering whether planning to give her a flower arrangement was putting too much pressure on myself as I have others to do; however, I can do 2 tomorrow so that will satisfy my creativity and I find it relaxing anyway. So that will leave me with church flowers to do on Friday, one to do on Fri/Sat for DB and SIL then I will need to make 3 when I'm in Dorset on Mon & Tues for Mum, Mum's NDN and Mr N's DB. Simples.
Tomorrow the car is going in for a service so other than a coffee with gym mates (courtesy of Mr N's car) I will have the afternoon/evening to tidy downstairs and do flowers. Let's hope tonight I don't end up in the WAC like yesterday.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -

Morning all xx
Yesterday: Wordle in six, more hints than words in Strands, and not one line in Connections.
Today: Wordle in three, no hints needed on Strands, and completed all four lines in Connections with two lives lost. That's better.
Unfortunately I've found a new game on my phone....not a nyt one 😉. You have to find cats. And when you do they say meow. 🙄. It's somewhat addictive. I may have to uninstall it 😳
Anyhoo. Flying. Yesterday didn't go entirely to plan, but I did buy and wrap DB's shortbread, and wrapped DS's presents. Just DDil's left to wrap now.
Today I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch bag, turned over the calendars, taken my meds, eaten breakfast and I'm supping a brew.
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I trot off to work. Don't wanna go. Nothing particularly unpleasant happening at Toxic Towers (🤞) but I'd rather stay at home.
Oh. Just remembered. I need fuel. I'll trot off a bit earlier and call at Mr M's on my way past.
Have a good day y'all 🤠

Morning all. Thank you for the list although I probably won't do much of it this week. More hugs for Valli. Wordle in six today.
I have just had breakfast, my first food in four days as I've been really unwell and just sleeping and drinking water. So everything I had planned from Friday to today has been cancelled. Lesson for future years, don't buy tickets in advance, just do last minute and walk ins. However, the family had a great time without me! Xmas presents have been swapped over, so DH and I are now on our own until we get invaded on Boxing Day for a games and buffet day. Probably just as well as DH is now also feeling poorly.
So, I will potter today and take Poppet out. I am organising a village event for Friday so I've now a lot of last minute things to prep for that as well as a haircut and manicure to fit in. Onwards and upwards....
Have a great day everyone.
