Morning all.
Narc0, Valli, and anyone else with a relative or friend in need of hydration - at some point you might want to consider buying these jellies for them. (No, I don't get commission, but I think they're a brilliant invention.)
So far this morning I have
- seen a glorious red sky at sunrise, one day before the winter solstice - thinking of LW
- started, but not yet completed, my finance check (DH called me down to breakfast)
- unclogged and emptied my shredder
- cleared and cleaned the DR windowsill
- got bowls of hyacinths out of the tool cupboard to make space to put away stuff off the porch shelves, leaving space for plants off the DR windowsill (IYSWIM)
- got cakes out of the freezer for L's Christmas present
- sent Rosie off for her walk with L
- made a big saucepanful of spicy veg and lentil soup for lunch (throw in all the odds and ends from the fridge with a big handful of lentils, then add paprika and Moroccan seasoning or whatever else you fancy)
- drunk more coffee and started a silly conversation on WA with my DC :lol
Next I'd better have my shower and get properly dressed - I have to go out in an hour to collect DGD1+2 and am still in my dressing gown. I also need to wrap and hide their presents before they arrive. I'm going to get them to help me make a door wreath and holly decorations this afternoon
Have a good day, all xxx

I will be 'supervising' her builder when he comes to do it, to make sure he does not encroach on to my property, as I don't want an issues if as and when I come to sell.Have a good dayBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Valli said:In awe of Giselle Pelicot and the dignity she has displayed. She's been amazing all the way through the trial. I'm so glad women have turned out to show her how much support there is out there.- Wren trundled,- chat and cardswop with neighbour which resulted in us being given a homemade chocolate cake she'd been given which is surplus to requirements (and she's fine with us passing on some to two sets of other neighbours because it's rather large but beautifully wrapped so very special),- prepped the veggies for tonight which I needed to do because I want to do the sprouts recipe on Christmas Day but don't want that to be the first time I've tried it,- collected all the ingredients up for Delia's red cabbage thing that will also be for Christmas Day but this recipe freezes fantastically so it'll be five boxes in the freezer that are good to go whenever we want another veggie microwaved,- filled up the bird seed bags I take on dogwalks to feed the sparrows and blackbirds every morning on the way. I've been feeding a pair of blackbirds for over ten years and they've got it so well sussed I can distract the magpies, seagulls and crows to elsewhere so the blackbirds can eat in peace. If I've got time there's a mushroom straganof I want to make as well for a quick freezer supper but I need to have a bit of a rest at some point because we're out tonight for Ciderella by three local comedians who found fame doing extremely bizarre but brilliant guided tours of Plymouth during the pandemic. Windy, wet waves from Dizzyland to all who may remember me! Totally not ready for Christmas and will be working anyway, so don't really care lol.
Will be making a few changes in the New Year, so am hoping to return to the Flylady fold, however currently sitting up in bed with a very sore hip (after dislocating it last weekend), waiting for the pain killers to kick in. Does anyone mind if I lurk for a while to catch up on the news?7 -
Dizzy hello, welcome back, hope all is ok with the kids etc xx

Hi Kaz - Small and Tiny are doing well, although much larger now. Tiny wears the same size clothes as Small, which scares me, and Small is choosing his GSCE subjects in the New Year, so I'm feeling really old.
Hoping to catch up with everyone over the next few weeks - been a while!6
