Disappointing not to be able to pay more off this month but transferred part of my debt to a credit card with no interest for 29months so I can concentrate on the larger high interest loan repayment and get that paid off quickly.

Me again, I'll update my totals by next week as I've recently streamlined my payment dates. I've refinanced my only two interest bearing accounts into one, as I was offered a loan with a lower interest rate. Works out that I will be DF a month sooner with the same level of monthly overpayments.

Please could you update #5 to £1009.15/£12,934.78 which is the total I've paid since entering the challenge, and the new total outstanding as of today.

    Thanks blue :)

Hello, I'd like to join please.

I have paid £1526/£7128 (21.4%) in January and the start of February. I am paying a fair bit by direct debit each month and these payments are due to finish in February next year, but I would like to get ahead of this and finish a couple of months early. So I have been transferring random sums when I can. My debts are to the taxman and a 0% credit card after transferring a balance from Amex.

In December 2023 I owed around £4,000 to Amex and just over £19,000 to HMRC. Writing this down here makes me think 'crikey, I've done well' and I am grateful for this thread to help me get rid of the rest...thank you.

I am being extra frugal/thrifty to help me do this and am building savings at the same time, I am mindful my savings will bring me interest and there is none on any of my debt but the emotional toll of facing this debt has been pretty dreadful so am continuing at an optimistic pace. The biggest thing I need to do is increase my erratic earnings.

Wishing everyone all the very best in getting to where they need to be, and to being inspired on here as well x
