Not showing up as registered to vote is interesting, could explain some of the credit application rejections.
That's what I thought!! I did wonder why I kept being refused, despite not missing any payments for at least 2 years, and I've paid so much back!Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Hey all. Very tired today, on my morning rota this week, up at 4.30 every morning! It's okay until I get to the end of the week then it all catches up with me.
Working mornings means I also have to deal with one of my colleagues who thinks it's her business how many shifts I'm doing!! As I've just come back off leave and am feeling up to lots of work (and extra pennies) so I've asked the shift manager for any extras. My next day off is next Wednesday and by then I will have worked 16 days straight.
She warned him the other day that I will have a go at him for giving me so many shifts, and if I get sick from over work I will sue the company!! :rotfl:For making me work the extra shifts I've asked for!!
Anyway...I've lost 2.4 lbs this week, which is most of what I gained last week, so I'm back under the 14 stone mark. :T I've not been to the gym for a week thou  last week was my day shifts which I hate, I have no time to do anything before work, and it's too late when I finish! So didn't get to go. I was going to go today but I am so tired I'm going to have an early night. Very early...I'll probably be in bed by 5pm!
Also, my step-sister is pregnant! Suspected twins too! So I'm going to be an auntie! She's only 7 weeks gone and is due in Feb, but I've already offered my baby-sitting services

Heeeeey all!
I've not been on MSE a lot this week, I've taken up reading tarot cards! So I've been sneaking away to a tarot site & forum for advice etc. It's been very interesting so far, and I seem to be getting the hang of reading the cards, a lot of things are coming out.
For instance I did a reading for myself the other day focusing on work, it said I would have a quarrel and overcome a rival amongst other things, and last night I had a blazing row with a driver. I knew I was in the right (he wanted me to send a job to him but I had a closer driver) so I just told him to take it up with the manager.
Also I've weighed in this week, a loss of 3.4 lbsI'm happy now I'm far enough away from the 14 stone mark. I'm creeping closer to the next target :rotfl:
I had to buy some new trousers for work, they were hanging off me! When I first bought them they were tight, and dug in when I sat down. They were a size 20! Now I'm wearing size 16! These ones dig in like my old ones did, but like my old ones it won't be long until they are hanging off me
Congrats to step sister. When will you find out if it is twins?
LI'll post as soon as I know.
Incidentally, I've asked my tarot cards if it will be twins or not, and the sex. They said twin girls, so we shall see if they are right!
Is this your first time to become an auntie? Congratulations to your step-sister!!I'm actually surprised over how excited I am, I've never been one to get gooey-eyed over kids. And while I'm getting quite attached to my poker buddies little girl (2 last week) I've never really craved being around a baby.
I suppose it's because they will be the first baby/ies in my immediate family? And I won't be just another random person in the kids life, I will be connected

Weigh in today, a 2 lbs loss! Very happy as I've worked out I need to lose about 1.5 lbs a week to reach my target by xmas.
Spoke to my step-sister, she's having her first scan in 3 weeks, so I'm going to pop round after to see and for a catch up chat, I've not seen her for about 5 years!
My granma isn't too well, she's having problems with her stomach & has to have an ultrasound, I'm worried about her.
I'm also worried about my dad, he's split with his gf but they are still living together until the house sells, which probably won't be for a while looking at the current housing situation. I've not heard from him in weeks and I'm hoping he's okay.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Hi all, weighed in yesterday, another 2.2lbs off
I spoke to my granma this week too, she's had her scans and everythings come back negative. Good in one way, but the docs don't know what is wrong.
Had a great bbq on saturday, ate so much I didn't feel hungry til sunday night :rotfl: very enjoyableDebt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Well another month over, Christmas is creeping ever closer, and so is my debt free date
I have a little confession to make.Again, as I have done before, I have asked for your advice, agreed with you all, then completely changed my plan. I've done it again.
I know I said my next target was to pay £1000 off the credit card, then tackle the HFC loan, but I have been unable to stop myself subconsciously hording the 'spare' cash for a settlement payment.
I am going into town on Friday to pay off HFCI reckon I will need roughly £760, going on previous settlements which have come back as £350-£320 rebate. On Friday I will have £930 in my bank so I am making my appointment
This will free up another £85 a month so I can get stuck in to the credit card. I don't think I will pay it off completely by Christmas, I want to visit my brother in Manchester again for his birthday next month (loosely penciled in at the moment) and of course getting close to Christmas spending is inevitable. But I will certainly be at the good end of it.
But who knows, I've managed to scrape together the loan settlement mainly thanks to extra shifts at work. If I work my butt off from now until then (with the odd day off or course, I'm not a machine!) I may just make it! :T
