  • Had a quick look @Watty1 and t'internet suggests rubbing it with a bit of toothpaste on a cloth. I may need to try this myself on a pair of earrings that seem to have defeated the silver cleaning cloth!

What a festive group we are!
gold hoop earrings today.  These were consigned to the naughty step about 5 years ago when they were inconsiderate about being put into my ears and nearly made me miss my train and worst of all caused me to go to the office without earrings. 🥴  So I'm sure you will agree that they are lucky to be benefitting from my festive forgiveness.
  • Hi @beanielou *waves* Any festive loveliness you fancy getting involved in?

Tis truly the season of good will @Blackcats, very magnanimous of you

Thanks @PennysIntoPounds I'm going to try that and report back. I'll have a go when cleaning my teeth if I remember as have a pair of butterfly broaches I'm going to pin to  a scarf tomorrow for use in zoom calls.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

@~FlowerPot~ what a lovely way to feel connected to your sister today.
@WannabeFree - your description of the earrings makes me think of holidays in Greece and not mizzly days like today has been.

No festive jewellery for me today as I was WFH but I did wear a Christmas jumper and socks. Plus I had a green and gold glitter gel nail varnish combo done at the beauty salon. Oh and while I was doing a live online exercise class tonight I wore the sequinned flashing light trilby I bought at an Abba tribute concert last year and not really had a use for since 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • My offering today is again from that pack of christmassy earrings, and is a pair of pretty gold (coloured!) and red candy canes!
Oh lordie ;)  you and @Sun_Addict   spearheading us MSEs brighting up the UK one dazzling pair of earrings/flashing hat at a time..

    @Watty1 horses heads ;) v godfather

Todays jewelry advent was a necklace, a hollow heart shape, with a angle charm connected to the front. My sister made one for everyone one Christmas as cracker prizes, one the back she wrote a word, mine was laughter. Unfortunately she is no longer with us and I've not worn it since, so it was a nice reminder of my lovely sister, I chose to wear it today because I had a particularly difficult day to get through and it was nice to feel that connection x
What a lovely way to remember your sister, Sorry to hear your day was hard

@PennysIntoPounds My daily advent today was also a pair of earrings a friend bought me this year from her trip to Marrakech, she also bought me a necklace that was quickly donated to a CS but the earrings are dangly goldy/blue resin type on twisted metal ... looked good with also a grey v neck jumper...
I paired  them with a very strange pendant necklace,..  it has a strong angry energy and looks like a thing to ward off evil spirits (!).
I rarely think such so ,... It came down from  one side of the family where lots of time was spent in Africa in the 1920s/30s doing medical stuff so I think its african - a metal chain but the angry demon warder pendant is about 1 inch plus and  looks a bit like (from google pics) ammolite or black amber but a purple shade..

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
