Morning all,
My list for today
Revise for tomorrow's exam
Take the dog for a long walk
Check the diary and make sure everything is scheduled for December
Wash up dishes, dry and put away
Sort through the kitchen cupboard and put festive goodies in there
Make payment on credit card
Sort through the festive presents and update the list to see what is still needed whilst also checking the batteries required.
Find somewhere to put the stuff that is still sitting in the living room and tidy away
It's only a short list for me today, as I'm just finishing my list from this week. I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday.

Thank you r the Fly Christmas cards. Much appreciated. Chocolates have been put in the chocolate tin for consumption later and may even be shared with Belovéd because he's been amazing recently and has done all the Christmas decorating on his own. I heart him. The man who said, 'I've never wanted kids and so there's no reason to get married. Is that okay with you?' as we sat down to dinner on our first date has gone a total transformation since the civil partnership. He's a completely different partner, much more co-operative, considerate and helpful. It tickles him when he calls me his wife. Slightly odd and disconcerting, but in a great way although I don't feel in the slightest bit different.Fayolle when I decided not to go back to work after a break to look after my parents I said I didn't have enough money to last me until my state pension kicked in (I'm a Waspi Woman by six years) but I'd deal with that when I ran out of money. That turned out to be a hugely pessimistic view of finances and I never got even close to thinking, 'Hmm. I may need to top up my income with an actual job' which was a huge relief. This website was pretty much 100% responsible for being able to manage on considerably less income than I'd had before, to such an extent that now that my state pension has kicked in I can say it's pretty easy to save money and set it aside. I hope you can spend as much time as you want with your DD, and when she's busy doing her thing, that you can enjoy your allotment and all the other things you've been having to put to one side 'when there's more time.'I'm impressed with your filleting of your junk drawer Kazw.Lovely to see you again Pigpen. What you're doing sounds amazing, so I hope you are reaping the rewards of your mammoth decluttering spree.Jazee I hope you thoroughly enjoy your 26 day run of time off.Glad to hear you've got the All Clear from your GP Sexy Mouse. We so often spend time worrying about a possible health condition worst case scenario only to find out it's a small thing that doesn't even need much attention at all.I hope the exams are over and if not - good luck with the rest MMM. Please be sure to remember to let us know how it went when you get the results.I've been working away at the Six Hat Thinking about my constant 'overwhelm of stuff' and I've found some answers, not least that there are actually two distinct problems which I've been trying to deal with as one problem which could never work. The need to hoard is one thing, the feeling of stuff overwhelm and therefore need to declutter is another entirely. One thing at a time, and tackling the hoarding tendency is what I'm focused on first. I'm beginning to see and understand a lot of things that I hadn't realised before, so just that is helpful and bodes well for the next few months. There has been flying. I've soaked, washed and bleached the loo brushes and their containers, a job I loathe as much as I loathe touching the business end of used cutlery. We all have our nemesis jobs and the loo brushes are pretty high on my list so I feel rather virtuous. In past places I've just chucked out loo brushes rather than tackle them, so that's progress. My desk was drowning in paperwork that I haven't had time to deal with and was, again, overwhelming me so I've chucked it all into a large box and that's on the floor where I don't have to see it until I can deal with it. That's helped, but yesterday I had another meltdown because it was taking me so long to deal with the one wall that was decorated in my office, which was hugely disruptive - I wanted to dust, wash and spring clean the whole area before putting everything back and it was taking forever. I just don't have the physical energy to do much, and I still need to tackle the futon but the rest is done and the wall looks better. I'm devloping a more robust and intelligent attitude to Dot-to-Dotting and that's helpful. Stuff has left the building.I managed to catch the last posting day to the USA for the only card I send abroad and now need to write all the rest of my cards. That's my next job.Better is good enough.6
