Weekly Flylady Thread 9th December 2024

Morning all xx 

I was at the hairdresser's at 8.45 so I'm all out of routine. 

Where am I with the Saturdailies?

Make my bed ✅
Feed the birds ✅
Put out the rubbish and recycling ✅
Put new bin bags in bins ✅
Bring down laundry hamper ✅
Set washing swishing ✅
WUDUPA 

I hand delivered a couple of Christmas cards on my way home from the hairdresser's. Plan to take a walk later to hand deliver cards to neighbours and call at Pops for a coffee. Strictly final tonight. Tractor run is going past the house tomorrow evening, so I'll be able to watch from the window. Brunch with L on Monday morning  at the posh farm shop cafe. 

I need to wrap L's Christmas and birthday presents. And wrap jammie dodgers for her husband - I send him some every year 😊. (He once told me they were his favourite biscuits so... )

Hmmm. Methinks tomorrow is designated a 'present wrapping day'.

It's a lovely sunny but cold day here. 

My list for today
Revise for next week's exams
Do paid stuff 
Assist DH to put festive lights up outside
Order tickets for family day out next week
Take the dog for a long walk
Check the diary and make sure everything is scheduled for December
Wash up dishes, dry and put away
Put up the rest of the festive decorations
Sort through the festive presents and update the list to see what is still needed whilst also checking the batteries required.
Dig the tree out of the shed and encourage DD to decorate it. 

I think that's everything I need to do today. I hope everyone has a lovely Saturday.

Flycards have just arrived.  Thank you all x And thank you for the little treats which I have stashed where only I can find them 🤫.

I have been channeling Valli’s mantra all morning - picking it up and putting it away. Downstairs is tidy-ish. Oh whoops, upstairs is a tip. Tomorrow is designated present wrapping day here too. Bother, DH wants me to help him lift something in the garage….

✔️Collect ALL the dirty laundry from about the house inc and bedding that needs changing..

Clean ALL the filters and drawers etc on the kitchen appliances

• Wipe down ALL the paintwork you keep putting off
• Choose a manky kitchen cupboard and make it shine.. the inside.. NOT the outside!

✔️Update remaining present lists

Been top-up shopping this morning, combined it with a 45 min walk.

Dusted everywhere - even DS room which he still hasn't fully vacated yet, but we're slowly getting there.   

Rest of today will be ...

✔️Vacuuming where I can get to
✔️ (I was so fast - like a ninja 🥷🥷🥷)Sneak into DS nearly-ex-room & clear a bagful of old c@rp

It's been a busy day but the living room is now decorated and festive decorations are up, I even managed to get DD to do the tree without complaining. I have managed to get 4 more hours of revision done for the exam on Monday. So it's been a productive day here and the living room is now looking festive. I'm going to relax tonight and watch some TV, as it has been a very busy week.

Phew thats a relief they arrived..I'm still getting used to Welsh post..lol. It's way too quicker than the Kent post from previous years..also things get to their destinations on time..lol
