Morning. Hope you're all ok, and nice to have a Piggers update.
Flying...mmm... I cleaned out the cutlery drawer yesterday. DH shouts " what have you done. I can't find anything!"
I am up early today even though it's the first day of 26 away from paid stuff as I'm having a day out at the coast with friends. We're going to a posh hotel for Xmas dinner. Tomorrow I am going to the circus with all the family, even various in laws.
Didn't get wordle. Too many options again.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning all,Well the puzzles didn't go too well this morning - failed wordle and connections, though managed strands with 3 hints. I'm quite enjoying tiles too.Feeling jittery this morning. I have a doctor's appointment at 11.05am to have a mole on my back checked out (and possibly one on my face too). My Mum had skin cancer and had to have a mole removed from her face (by her eye the same as mine), so I'm feeling a bit nervous in case mine turn out to be the same. Not only that, but I have work this afternoon and need to leave for that at 11.55 at the latest (having had my lunch beforehand), so I'm praying they don't over-run. I know I probably should have just written off work today, but it's been so quiet on supply lately, that this will be my only booking this week, and with lots of bills coming in, I need the money. It also hasn't escaped my notice that the date is Friday 13th. Fingers crossed it isn't an unlucky day today.I shall try to channel some of my nerves into flying. I think I'll make my sandwich for lunch and put it in the fridge so it's ready to grab quickly.Lovely to hear the update from pigpen. So sorry for the lack of personalised responses to all of the other flyladies - I hope everyone is well and good luck for hospital appointments, meet-ups and exams.Well I'm off to see if there is enough washing to put a load on - I did our sheets on Wednesday after re-repairing the part of the rip in our flat sheet that had split a bit more in the washing machine.Hugs to all who want or need them.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20178

It's been a nice start to the day. DH made me a cuppa in bed, and it's a bit milder outside today, so I don't need to de-ice the car.
My list for today
Go into uni and get another exam ticked off the list (2 more to go after this one)
Do paid stuff (going to find a nice little cafe to work from in town to save driving back home then needing to go back into town)
Go to hairdresser appointment
Laundry x 2
Put the wallpaper up on the feature wall
Assist DH to put festive lights up outside
Take the dog for a long walk
Check the diary and make sure everything is scheduled for December
Wash up dishes, dry and put away
Put ceiling decorations up whilst the ladders are out for wallpapering
Sort through the festive presents and update the list to see what is still needed whilst also checking the batteries required.
Dig the tree out of the shed and encourage DD to decorate it.
I think that's everything I need to do today. I hope everyone has a lovely Friday.6 -
Just back from the doctor and thankfully it's good news - the mole on my back turned out to be seborrhoeic keratosis, and I got her to check the one on my face and she said it is actinic keratoses so will try to some special cream for the one on my face. Phew! Fingers crossed that DH's car is fixable now, as it is in the garage and we're waiting to hear about that too.

You can put your energy into worrying how much the car repairs will be!"I started out with nothing

Thanks Valli and eltee - it was such a relief - I had been worrying about the one on my face for a long time, and the one on my back for at least a month, but had been too scared to book an appointment. I was so thrilled that they were ok, that I rushed out of the surgery before the doctor could give me the information about them, got to the carpark and then went back to reception, and she sent me the links via text message. The afternoon of work was quite an easy one luckily (hand out new homework, play newsround, watch a performance in the hall by the children's theatre group and then help 5 children make friendship bracelets in the library for golden time). I was quite pleased it was an easy one, though I didn't like the office lady, who was very rude to me. I had a really bad headache last night (probably the come-down from all of the worrying). So far this morning, I've put a wash load on - Saturdays are normally uniform washing day. First coffee consumed, and now to do the puzzles.Still waiting to hear back about DH's car. He's started on sanding down our bathroom windowsill though (a job I've been asking him to do for months) in preparation to re-varnish it. It is a wooden sill, but where the old varnish had worn over the years, the water had got under it and has left stains, so the sanding is taking longer than he expected it to. He did say he could just paint it white, but I like the wood look as it's warmer.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20176
