Another day, anoth Christmas celebration….this time with my swimming group.
came home, made banana cake and Eve’s pudding and baked salmon for tea, so ovenfilled, then put bread slices and crusts in the cooling oven to bake dry them for the bunnies. treated bunnies to a bag of curlykale as nipped to Mr M for frozen peas. DD says bunnies are spoilt.

- zumba x 2
- more discussion over pan stand which Mr N is building. Got all pans out of various storage areas and decided what would go where; 1 rarely used and fairly scratched pancake pan ditched.
- 1 load washing done
- all paperwork checked, printed and gathered for attendance allowance, ready to post tomorrow
- ditto flycards which will be posted tomorrow
- small amount of drum practice done
- various other bits of admin and a couple of phone calls done; car service booked.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
Morning all. Hope you're doing well.
Worldle in six and strands with no hints which is a first for me. I had a lie in this morning until 7.30 and so far I've had a cuppa, printed off tickets for various things we have booked as I don't trust myself not to accidentally delete emails, got admin up to date, done stretches and freshened sofa throws. Have also started to prep Poppets food.
A good start to the day as we won £50 on premium bonds. Will see what flying I can get done this morning before my exercise class this afternoon.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Well, yesterday wasn't a productive start to the week as I didn't get very much off my list, as I got sidetracked catching up with an old friend unexpectedly that I haven't seen for a while.
My list for today
Attend uni lectures
Do paid stuff
Spend 2 hours on exam revision
Take the dog for a long walk.
Write Xmas cards
Schedule festive food shopping
Do some more festive shopping and update the list
Phone glazing company for a quote to repair window (decided we will not move house so need to improve things here).
Phone local school regarding exam work
Dust the hall, stairs and landing.
High dust in the hall, stairs and landing.
Hoover the hall, stairs and landing.
I think that is everything that I need to get done today, Hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday and keep warm.

Me again.
I have dusted fireplace, s&sd bathroom and downstairs loo, changed bedding, dusted flat surfaces in bedroom, done dailies and walked Poppet. First of two wash loads is in machine and a load from yesterday is on the airer.
And that's it for me today. Exercise class now and read a book when I get home.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Two washloads dangled, and some of it brought back in to dry overnight. The rest can stay out for another 24 hours and come in to finish off this time tomorrow.Yesterday didn't quite work out as planned as the library I wanted to visit to do some work while Wren was flown was closed - budget cuts, not open on Mondays. Glad to see it's open most of the rest of the week, with a late night on Thursdays. Wren looks and smells much better. Long chat with groomer, who I like a lot.Today was productive enough without the decorator turning up at short notice with a view to inspecting the areas he's dealing with for us tomorrow. That means I had to do a lot of gibble shifting from various places which took most of the rest of the day, what with one thing and another. I'm very relieved I spring cleaned the en suite a couple of weeks ago because I don't like other people knowing about my slatternly ways. Especially as his wife is the housekeeper at a local up-market hotel so I imagine their house is sparkling all the time.I think I'll spring clean my Room of Doom office when he's finished dealing with the couple of places that need his attention in there. I've been meaning to do it for years so I suppose this is the wake up call I needed.Did a bit of work at my desk because at least I could sit down for that - I can see myself getting over-tired this week if I'm not careful. The decorator is arriving around 8.30 tomorrow morning and I'm going out to lunch with a neighbour I'm fond of but find exhausting, so an early start with no let up what with one thing and another.Managed to squeeze in making a batch of brownies while cooking the flan for last night's meal so I'm pleased about that. I need to make some space in the freezer so I can freeze most of the brownies because we can't possibly eat them all within four or five days. (Well, tbh I could but given that I'm already on statins and they're full of butter and chocolate it probably wouldn't be the best idea, and anyway I don't really want Belovéd to know just how piggy I am. I had a chunk for breakfast which was delish.)Better is good enough.5

I took advantage of the dry weather to sand my driveway so I have been to the DIY shop to buy 2 bags of kiln-dried sand. I got lost in the shop as they closed off some aisles due to the fork lift truck. It's not even that big. Drive way resanded.

Ooh. Thanks for the list valli. Sounds like a good idea. I always seem to tackle the kitchen, living room and bedroom and the bathrooms get left for weeks. I will tackle the bathrooms on Wednesday as I have a day off.
Today has been a work day but have wiped down the sides in the kitchen, sorted out some packages to post, HHI and done 2 loads of washing. Not bad for a work day!Grocery challenge- feb 2015- £133.07/£2507 -
This week doesn't have nearly enough hours in it.
- gym swim and quicker-than-usual coffee and chat as no time!
- went to post office, posted flycards and also attendance allowance forms. They couldn't give me a proof of purchase slip because DWP is freepost and doesn't have a postcode. Apparently the proof of purchase system only works on postcodes. Huh.
- went to voluntary work. No student today so did several hours of archiving.
- Mr N and I went through all our Xmas family 'gifts' which are Big Give donations; phew, all 10 done.
- booked festive music by candlelight in St James' church, Piccadilly for the day we are in London after Christmas.
- emailed manager about my working days over the festive period.
- electronically signed 2 more house sale documents, 1 of which doesn't appear to have worked.
So, minimal flying, no drum practice and no further cards written. That would be the cue for an extremely late night to catch up a bit, however the gym just messaged me to cancel aqua aerobics tomorrow so I have a couple of hours available. Tomorrow brings work and a carol service in addition to other stuff I usually do; Thurs has coffee then lunch with old work mates followed by drumming lesson and driving to Dorset. So no real panic!!!!!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
I'm sorry I've been unable to keep up with the thread this week. At the moment, I feel like I blink and lose a day. I hope everyone is having a good week, hugs to those who want/need them.
My list for today
Attend uni lectures
Do paid stuff
Spend 3 hours on exam revision (I've got my first exam on Monday)
Go into town and pick up orders
Go to the carpet company whilst in town and see about getting a new carpet for the living room
See about getting a new showerhead whilst in town and pick up paint charts.
Purchase festive sweets and decorations whilst in town. (Decorations and some sweets purchased)
Take the dog for a long walk
Write Xmas cards and post
Get festive decorations out the cupboard (need to move a mountain of stuff to get to the cupboard)
Schedule festive food delivery
Check banking and update direct debits
Pay credit card
Phone energy company regarding an overpayment that has been taken out (Should get a refund so will keep an eye on this)
Empty the kitchen bin
I think that is everything that I need to get done today. Hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday
