The question of visible signs is quite separate to the timeframe given once you're above 24 hours or so.Smith2001uk said:
Oh i do understand that and did the maths but i still think it should be around 7 days. I've been stung on the dartford crossing when going to Brighton and went straight into seeing friends mode and forgot. however i did remember the Monday and called, thankfully first time i was let off with just the fee.Ergates said:
It's an entire day plus the remainder of the current day. So between 24 and 48 hours.Smith2001uk said:I do however wish you well in your endeavour as i do think the time to pay is far too short.
If signs are not reasonably visible, then arguably a contract is not formed to pay the toll. If the signs are visible, then the driver is informed to pay the amount. They should be given reasonable time to be able to pay, eg the timeframe should allow for them to complete the journey, reach a place with internet access, etc which they probably can within 24 hours. However its their own responsibility to remember once they are informed - whether that's by setting a reminder (via a voice note) or pulling over at the next service station and paying straight away, or whatever. There's no expectation of a wider timeframe to allow for forgetting and then re-remembering.0 -
You clearly are not much of a traveller. Many people make journeys which take several days so one week would be a far more reasonable time to allow for payment.saajan_12 said:They should be given reasonable time to be able to pay, eg the timeframe should allow for them to complete the journey, reach a place with internet access, etc which they probably can within 24 hours.

Why would you need to switch your radio on?Ergates said:A19 - Google Maps
Still seems pretty visible when photographed from the road.
"Pay your Toll" is the first thing you see when you google Tyne Tunnel 2, and it's very prominent on the home page.

Best bet is set up auto pay when you know you are in the area.Life in the slow lane0 -

I doubt many people have such a hectic itinerary that they couldn’t fit in a couple of minutes on the website to pay the toll.brianposter said:

Don't know about roadside signage but the same advice is given for Dartford and Mersey ones, for example:FIREDreamer said:

Interesting regarding the Mersey Tunnels - my radio cuts off for about half the under-river journey due to no signal (whether Queensway or Kingsway).eskbanker said:
