Seems a reasonable cost cut, there are hundreds of sources of info for the markets, no need for the bbc to replicate it.
There are hundreds of sources for the Premier League table, but the BBC still show it!

Plus they still publish horse racing results ( quite quickly in fact) despite numerous other places to look.

Adding even more value to the licence fee, the BBC have stopped covering market data, I assume numbers are too complicated for their core audience and anyway they like to 'curate' any data they do supply to fit the agenda.
    They "curate" market data?

Note the currencies tab on the same page.

I use the Yahoo app on my phone.  It is easy to check so I have also built a copy of my S&S ISA as a portfolio to watch.  This lets me track the shares in that and see news for those stocks.

Maybe that -  or the OP doesn't know what "to curate" means.

    And what is "The Agenda"?

I've set up my own watchlist on msn money. I'm still fiddling with it, but it looks like I will get what I want,  £/$, S&P 500, Nasdaq, FTSE 100 etc. As a bonus I can add investments, such as VWRP.

I feel a sense of loss however, I've been using BBC for a quick look at market data for as long as I can remember, certainly preceding the internet, back to Ceefax days.

I’ll also really miss it. One of my (daily if not hourly) go to internet pages. I seem to recall it was based on data from Morningstar. I wonder if they were turning the screw.
