I watched Buy Now! The shopping conspiracy on NF last night. It is definitely worth a watch. Although we all know we are being played by the big corporations, it's quite eye opening seeing some of the visualisations.

Happy payday! I've got a huge list of things I need to be doing today, including the financials, but I'm paralysed by indecision of where to start and wanting to just curl up and shut out the world for the day. I'm going to aim to do just 15 minutes of a task and see how I get on from there.
This week has been an absolute roller coaster, I don't think I've had a moment to breathe. My sleeping isn't good again which doesn't help.
However, the big news is, my post has been reinstated!!!! 🌞👏 I won't really trust or believe it until the new structures are finalised next year, as the consultation is still ongoing, but at the moment, they have reinstated my post and I will be a slot in which means I will keep my current T&Cs. I'm so relieved. I don't think things will be easy, but at least I can make decisions about whether I stay or go on my own timescales and not be forced into anything."If you can dream it, you can do it". That's fantastic about your job! Almost like being offered a post without having the stress of an interview.
Perhaps you will sleep a bit better now you know.

Good news about your job. Mr F (public sector) also getting twitchy about likely re-structuring/cuts (again) at work next year. Thankfully we are now both debt & mortgage-free, & although I came to it later in life than many, I have good budgeting skills. It's always worth having a year of extra effort though, as you are doing for 2025. We are planning something similar & I'm looking forward to getting started.
