It's lovely not to be pushed into something new and also not to lose the additional benefits like my compressed hours/flexible working and ability to work from home.

We've had a nice day out today, even though we were let down by one place we'd booked. It appears they've closed abruptly the other day and didn't tell anyone or cancel bookings. Luckily we were due to pay when there, so we haven't lost out financially. Very disappointed children though, but we managed to salvage the day and find an alternative so everyone was happy in the end.
I'm still not sleeping well, but I think that's because I've got too much in my head at the moment, with a huge 'to do' list. I need to start tackling some of the jobs then hopefully I'll feel better. We've got the towel rail being fitted on Monday, so there's still some bits I want to do to the bathroom before that happens, and then the boiler is being serviced on Tuesday (different companies) so I need to ensure the house is marginally clean and tidy (it's a mess at the moment).
I need to open all the parcels and check that I've got everything I ordered, but that needs to be done when the kids aren't around. We need to finish putting up the xmas decs so those boxes can be packed away. Bathroom and kitchen also need a good clean. I want to make sure all the radiators are accessible just in case - biggest task there is in little miss's room which is its usual disaster zone.
2 lots of xmas parcels dropped off today, so they've left the house. I need to see where I am with the rest of it, but I think I'm mostly done. I think I've got most of the food too, apart from the fresh stuff. I'm hoping to have a less spendy December and hopefully some time to chill!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney6 -
I had a much better night's sleep last night. I was awake for a little bit, but nothing like how it has been recently. I feel like a new person!
I got up nice and early and went straight out for a walk, not a long one, but enough to get me moving. It reminds me I like being out first thing, even if it is much more pleasant in spring and summer.
Then when I came back I did my duolingo and started tidying the kitchen, all before anyone else was up. I've done a bit of admin too. I still need to update my spending spreadsheet though. I will have kept it up for the whole year, so I'm really pleased about that!
We've also finished decorating the tree in the front room and put up some other decorations, and I've put together another small tree which we'll have at the top of the stairs.
We're going to go through and declutter the decorations that we don't use. DH has put the tree boxes back up in the loft out of the way
As I got my backdated pay rise this month I added some more to PBs, and have treated myself to a new set of pans. Ours are getting a bit tatty now, and this will replace all of the ones we have. They were on a black friday deal with 57% off, and then I managed to get them through warehouse so got an additional £10 off as well.
Now off to get a bit of grocery shopping and will fill up my car too."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney7
