Yes, the to do list is huge. It doesn't help that we've been out the last few weekends so haven't achieved much then either!foxgloves said:Good news about your job. Mr F (public sector) also getting twitchy about likely re-structuring/cuts (again) at work next year. Thankfully we are now both debt & mortgage-free, & although I came to it later in life than many, I have good budgeting skills. It's always worth having a year of extra effort though, as you are doing for 2025. We are planning something similar & I'm looking forward to getting started.

I've had a reasonably productive day after all. Caught up with the washing. I've painted the top of the stairs where we had some electrical cables chased in, so that looks ok again. I've also tidied up some of the paintwork in the bathroom. I then put up the Christmas tree and got cross with last year me who didn't make enough of an effort to put the lights away neatly so I spent ages untangling them 🤦♀️😁
The school fayre is on tonight so we're heading down there in a bit. Tomorrow we are out for the day for little miss's birthday treat (her birthday was in the week)."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I did update my financials and started catching up with my spending spreadsheet, but only got partway through that. I'll try and finish it at the weekend."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3
